I think it's done!

[Severus Snape]

Severus took both bottles of potion from his room, they had both been maturing for a month and were ready to be tested. He crept out of his dorm and into he common room, he wanted to make his way to the games keeper to find a few stray rats, if anything he would see if his brews were deadly.

[Lucius Malfoy]

Lucius had been sitting by the fire, working on a written report for the Dark Lord, when he heard someone coming. Quickly he tapped his parchment with his wand, transfiguring it to look more like homework. He saw Snape coming and narrowed his eyes. Maybe now would be a good time for that talk. "Going somewhere, Severus?" he drawled casually.

[Severus Snape]

"Nothing or real concern of yours Lucius, I'd rather study the effects of this poison on something with a little higher intelligence." he said rather boldly he thought of himself.

[Lucius Malfoy]

Lucius's eyes flared furiously. "Not so fast!" he said harshly, standing up and blocking Severus from passing. "It's about time you and I had a little talk about what it means to be a Slytherin."

[Severus Snape]

Severus felt for a moment cowed, but he boldly said "And what pray-tell is that? challenging professional duelists with no second and out of hubris?" he sneered tucking the vials of Vitaserum into a pocket of his robe." You haven't done much to impress upon me the fact that Slytherins are any better than RavenClaws. Infact...as far as my count is correct, I'VE been the one earning Slytherin points this year." he said smugly.

[Lucius Malfoy]

"Well, aren't you awfully bold all of a sudden?" Lucius snapped. "As I recall correctly, you got most of your points by kissing up to the professors and by actually... doing work!" He frowned distastefully. "Slytherins are better than the other houses, because of their blood. Strange, though, I can't find any record of a Snape going here ever before. You don't really belong in this house, do you? If you're really a Slytherin, you'll play a trick on the Gryffindors!" he added as a challenge.

[Severus Snape]

"I belong here just as much as you do!" Severus flared "My mother's been teaching me more about magic and the dark arts since i've been old enough to read!" Severus frowned. "Her Family's knowledge and connections go back centuries! I am a Prince!" he said realizing how foolish he sounded making that statment, but none the less he stood firmly by what he said, it was true after all.

[Lucius Malfoy]

"Oh, really?" Lucius replied, widening his eyes. "A Prince, are you? Interesting..." Of course Lucius thought Severus was actually claiming to be royalty. "The Prince of what, pray tell? You know that it takes more than just your blood to be worthy of Slytherin. You need to have a certain... attitude... which you seem to lack. I see you, getting picked on by that James Potter... you just lie down and take it. And your friendship with that Ravenclaw girl... it's most un-Slytherin-like...."

[Severus Snape]

"The Prince Family you nit! Our family goes back centuries, just like the Malfoys." he said with his heart beating fast in his chest. "Potter is an arrogant git! and Rori hasn't done a thing to you or me, so don't talk about her." he said his heart feeling like it was going to shake loose. He forced himself to breathe evenly and his heart followed suit. He can act like this didn't have him on edge.

[Lucius Malfoy]

"Ah, right. The Prince family," Lucius said, sounding distinctly unimpressed. "But who is your father? I don't recall hearing the name Snape in my family history. Didn't she marry a Muggle?" He spat the last word out, as if it burned his tongue to speak it.

[Severus Snape]

"What does that matter? her blood is all that counts to me." sneered Severus. "I can still do more with one drop of this vile than what you could do with a full minute of your wand." he said feeling distantly less bold.

[Lucius Malfoy]

Lucius raised his eyebrows. "And what, pray tell, is in that vial, foolish boy? If it is so powerful, what precisely are you planning to do with it?"

[Severus Snape]

"I'm experimenting, what I had planned for it was and is none of your concern." Severus said it as evenly as he could. He suppressed his thoughts and heartbeat. He often felt that even if his father was a muggle, he could read his mind and do exactly what he feared most he'd do. unconsciously he did the same during this confrontation with Lucius.

[Lucius Malfoy]

Lucius's eyes flashed angrily. "Oh, really now?" he hissed. He pulled out his wand and pointed it at Severus, casting a bat bogey hex on him. "Perhaps you'd like to walk around like that all day! Or maybe you'll just tell me what's in that vial and I'll release the hex!"

[Severus Snape]

Severus face stung with the hex burning on his face. "Ah! it's a truth potion!" he said ringing his hands to keep them from aggrivating his face. "I've been working on variations of it, to make it stronger, less poisionous, better!" he said thinking he should make it as simple for Lucius to understand."Are you going to remove this now?" he asked half wanting to plead.

[Lucius Malfoy]

"Hmmm..." Lucius said slowly, smiling triumphantly. "In a moment, perhaps... What were you planning to do with this potion? Perhaps we could put it to a little... test...?"

[Severus Snape]

"I was going to test it you nit, it's a variation! it might be unpredictable, it might be poison, It's had the same amount of time to mature but I don't know yet!" snapped Severus angrily.

[Lucius Malfoy]

"Yes, but what method were you going to use to test it?" Lucius said pointedly. "Because I think I have just the thing..." He smiled wickedly.

[Severus Snape]

Severus frowned "I was going to test it on a jarvey." he didn't like the look Lucius had in his eye, "What did you have in mind?" he asked narrowing his eyes, his hands still at his sides to keep them from showing how arrivated his skin was.

[Lucius Malfoy]

Lucius appeared to think for a moment, rubbing his chin pensively. "I think it requires a human test... a jarvey simply won't get the results you desire." He smiled. "I think you should test it on the Ravenclaws...."
