Remus frowned. He wasn't really crazy about the idea of playing a trick on some kid they didn't even know just for the fun of it. Even though Dumbledore had been nice and sympathetic about his "problem," he still felt like he was on shaky ground at Hogwarts. Like if he did one thing wrong, he could be out. This was too important to him. But on the other hand, he was so happy to accepted by James, Sirius, and the others, that he didn't want to go against them, for fear they would think he was a loser. He pressed his lips together and said nothing.

James was a bit put out when people decided not to go through with the prank. "Don't worry Remus," James said to him. "It's not like we're going to hurt him. We're not that bad."
When Sirius mention flying, his ears perked up. "Can I join you?"

Remus was dazed for a minute, when Lily smiled at him. Then he heard James talking to him and he looked over at him. "Well, OK," said Remus. "I mean, if he's really such a git, then maybe he'll deserve it. But he hasn't really done anything yet."
