Saturday mornings were Cameron's absolute favorite time. Period. He was on his own time, free to hang out in his too-thin pajama pants with his friends and not give a care that people were trying to get his attention.
He was currently sitting on the couch with one leg pulled up under him. His arm was resting on the back of the couch, and Brenda was sitting next to him. He was in the middle of telling a largely embellished story to a group of Slytherins, though his mind was already wandering halfway through the tale, and he was close to losing his train of thought.

It was a fairly well known fact that most stories Cameron started would never get finished. He was good at telling the first parts of the stories, however, and it was easy to forgive him for losing track.
When he seemed to lose his steam, Rabastan took over from one of the over stuffed chairs near the couch. He gave Cameron a smile, and when the story was finished, he sighed.
"I can't wait for Spring," he said. "Getting out of this pit will be the highlight of my year."

Brenda's attention span was worse than Cameron's. Although she was listening, she was barely observing what Cameron was saying. Instead, she was amusing herself by running her manicured fingernails along the top of Cameron's thigh. This probably also had a lot to do with why he kept getting distracted.
In her other hand, she held a cigarette, and periodically she took long drags from it and blew the smoke out in a ring while she made eyes at Rabastan. Of course, she'd already been with Rabastan--it was along a mathematical certainty. Still, she was fond of Rabastan--as fond as she could be of anyone, that is. And she'd never say no to another go-around with him.
When Rabastan mentioned their impending graduation, she rolled her eyes dramatically. "Tell me about it," she said. "I mean, really, all these stupid tests and stuff. I'm so over it."
Of course, there was the little matter of just wat she'd like to do once school was over. She didn't have lofty goals or ambitions like some of the girls. She just didn't really care about anything. She'd find her way.... she always did.

"Yeah, me too," Cameron said a little absently. Perhaps the only one among them, Cameron was not looking forward to graduating. He'd had what Americans called "senioritus" since he started school. From day one, he was over the tests and the text books and all of it. So yes, he was ready to stop classes and stop being reprimanded by the teachers for being apathetic and a class clown (because he did feel he was misunderstood; it wasn't his fault if he couldn't concentrate). But he had no idea what he would do after graduation. He didn't have the marks to get any kind of job in the Ministry, and dragon taming and curse breaking weren't really his thing.
All he had was his music, and what could he do with that?
Her fingernails brought his attention back to her, and he grinned, leaning over and kissing her neck. "I say we plan one hell of a party after graduation."

"Mmmm," Brenda said as Cameron began kissing her neck, drawing her attention fully back on him. She turned toward him a little more, allowing one shoulder to slip out of the oversized American football-jersey nightshirt she was wearing. Although she was certainly known for wearing lacy, silky things to bed, she had also found that boys were equally attracted to girls dressed in sports jerseys. Especially when they were short and baggy. Maybe it was the sports connection, or maybe it was just that they were so easy to take off. Brenda didn't really care to analyze it.
"A party sounds good," she said, although at the moment, she was only thinking about having a party for two. "With lots of alcohol. Not like the Yule Ball. Merlin, what a snoozefest that was."

Rabastan rolled his eyes at the couple on the couch. Being in the dorm he was in, seeing displays like this wasn't really new to him. In fact, in another, less sleepy mood, he may have joked about joining in. As it was, he kicked Cameron's shin.
"Oi, Wilder, knock it off. It's too early for that."
He gave Brenda a wicked grin though. "Don't knock the ball too much. I had a good time." He shrugged. Evelyn was worth keeping around for a little while yet, and, surprisingly, she was the first redhead he would have had. "Too bad you two couldn't make a night of it though."

"Hey, I never said that after the ball wasn't fun," Cameron said with a little wink, but he at least settled for less contact with Brenda. He wasn't really too big into public displays, but he didn't avoid them, either. While Rabastan had no room to comment, Cameron couldn't care either way.
"Still, a party, with lots of alcohol," he added for Brenda's sake, "sounds like the ticket. I'm just going to be so glad to get out of here. Seven years was really too long."

Brenda snickered. "Yeah, Rab, after the ball was when the real party started. Our own personal party."
When Cameron pulled back a little bit, she pouted and let her hands begin to wander across his body. All the while, she watched him through lowered lashes as he spoke. She was half-tempted to make a mean-spirited crack about Cameron's little Ravenclaw friend, who still had another year to go in this hellhole. She just somehow got the feeling that Cameron's eagerness to leave Hogwarts was half-hearted at best. Was it because of what--or rather, whom--he'd be leaving behind?
But instead of saying this in front of Rabastan (she didn't want anyone to get the impression that Cameron's eyes were looking anywhere but at her, after all; it would ruin her reputation), she turned the conversation back on Rabastan.
"How about you, Rabastan? You can't tell me you had fun with that little redhaired girl? Or... Maybe it's true what they say about redheads? You can't tell it by looking at her..."

"Blonde, brunette, redhead... I'll be honest, the hair color has never really made much of a difference. It's the personality types that do it. Evelyn has that innocent school girl flair... and believe me... I liked it."
But he was losing his interest in her. As much as he loved ruining an innocent girl, they were the kind that got needy and clingy, and he never had the patience to stick around for that.
"Hey, Cam, have you ever dated one of the Sanders girls?" He was just curious, especially with his new interest in Bobby. "Brunette is the new redhead," he added, tossing a wink Brenda's way.

Cameron shrugged. "No. You know the only one that dates at all is Linette, and she just wasn't my type." As he said this, he put his arm around Brenda's shoulders. He was careful what he said while she was around, not wanting to make her angry or jealous, and definitely not wanting her to retaliate by talking about other guys. He could get jealous easily.
He also thought it wise not to mention the fantasy he'd had since 2nd year about the three of them... but what boy in the school hadn't at least thought about it?

Brenda rolled her eyes dramatically. She really hated the triplets, actually. She may have been blonde, gorgeous, and easy, but she was just one girl. How was she supposed to compete with three hot girls who all looked alike? They were the stuff of legends, and Brenda knew perfectly well what boys thought about when they looked at those three girls. She hated anyone that would steal the attention from her.
"What's the matter, Rabastan? Got your eye on the triplets, do you? It's about time, really, I expected you to go after them in your fifth year. Pity you were too busy with Andromeda Black back then."

"No, not all of them. Just one." The one that seemed easiest to romance. Linette was too used to it, Callie didn't want it, but Bobby... Bobby was somehow under appreciated. Rabastan smirked as he thought about this, and shrugged. "Just wondering if Cam had any insight."
He grew quiet when Andromeda's name was mentioned. She was... well, he had a soft spot for her, and he didn't let anyone talk badly about her. She was his only fling that he didn't brag about. Well, anymore.
"I don't regret that time at all, actually. And I was making the triplets wait. Not everything can come to them so easily."

“Only one?” Brenda said, raising her eyebrows. She would have thought someone like Rabastan would want to try for all three, preferably behind each of their backs. If she had been a guy, that was what she would have done. But if she only had to pick one…
“Which one?” she asked. “Callie, right? She’s the biggest challenge. Linette’s too much like you and just as likely to dump you before you dump her. Bobby would be too easy… she’s vulnerable. I’d totally go for Callie, if I were a guy. But then again, given her apparent aversion to men, maybe I’d have a better chance as myself.”
She smirked at that, but come to think of it, it was sort of an intriguing idea. Although Brenda definitely preferred men, she was quite aware of men’s fantasies, and if she were to have a fling with one of the triplets, she would definitely get some attention.

"Only one," Rabastan confirmed, and he smiled while she tried to reason her way through it. Generally speaking, he liked a challenge. And yes, Bobby was going to be easy, but she wouldn't give it up easily. A week or so of honest romancing, and she'd be in his bed in no time, but he was going to have to work for it. Linette was too willing, and he often suspected that Callie was a really butch lesbian. Most of the feminists like her were.
But Brenda was obviously going down that same though process, and Rabastan shut his mouth, giving Cameron a look. They both had a vaguely uncomfortable look about them, and he almost laughed, knowing they were both picturing Brenda and one of the triplets.
He cleared his throat. "Yeah... maybe. But no, I'm not going for Callie. And I'm definitely not going for Linette."

Brenda smirked, knowing exactly what the boys were thinking. Boys were so predictable. Of course, she didn’t really care how they pictured her, just so long as they did.
“Go on, boys, keep picturing it,” she said, grinning. She waited an extra beat or two, just to allow the both of them to entertain their dirty thoughts.
“So, Bobby, then?” she said. “A few pretty words and she’ll fall for you. And when you break her heart, you’d better watch out, because I guarantee the other two will be coming after you. They're like a little mini-mafia, those three.”

Cameron's eyes shifted down his lap, and Rabastan watched him shift his position on the couch. "You're so bad, Brenda," he laughed, though he was picturing her and Callie Sanders, unashamed. Merlin, it was hot.
He shook his head, shaking the thought from his mind, and shrugged. "I can handle her sisters. What's the worst they can do, anyway? I have a feeling Bobby will beg them not to do anything. She won't want it to look like she can't take care of herself. Piece of cake, all in all."

"And you say I'm bad," Brenda said, arching an eyebrow at him. She was far from being a saint, but she didn't particularly do what she did to break anyone's hearts. She was just all about having a good time. She moved from one man to another, mostly sticking with her fellow Slytherins, because they knew what to expect. They knew not to get attached.
"Not that I care or anything," she continued. "I mean, the triplets have everything so easy. Everyone's in awe of them. Just because they're three hot girls who all look alike, I mean, really... what's so special about that?"

Cameron made a laughing sound at that question, and Rabastan whistled.
"I don't really know how you girls tend to see things like it, but.... it's special, as you say. Twins are every guy's fantasy. Triplets would be like... like winning the sex lottery. I would do just about anything to get the three of them together, and I'm not ashamed to admit it." Rabastan's goal was never to break hearts, either. He just wanted to have fun, but he understood that girls got their hearts broken in the process.
"Anyway, even if I do break her heart, I've done this enough times to realize that there's always a guy waiting for her to lean her head on his shoulder. Bobby'll be fine. She'll enjoy it."

Brenda rolled her eyes dramatically. “Whatever,” she said, her tone clearly hinting at resentfulness. But then a wicked idea hit her, and her eyes seemed to light up.
“OK, Rabastan,” she said. “What do you say we make a little bet? You may have an easy time with Bobby, but I bet that you can’t get all three sisters to kiss you. If I win, you have to help me play a little trick on this girl I know. And if you win, you can name your price.”

Rabastan's eyes narrowed ever so slightly. Normally he'd jump at a bet like that, and sure, Bobby would be a piece of cake. Like stealing candy from a baby... whatever other easy metaphors there were. And he could probably work some good magic with Linette, though she'd take a bit longer. It was Callie that he'd really have to work on... although, he had an idea that just might get him there.
"Whose the girl?" He asked, wanting to make sure he wasn't about to help burn a girl he didn't want to. If he lost the bet. He wouldn't, of course, but just in case...
