"Merlin, yes. No boys. I'm sick of boys." It was just that every time she started to flirt with a boy, they would ask about Linny, and sometimes they would ask about Callie, even, or they would tell her what a great friend she was. Those words never made a girl feel good about herself.
"No dates this time, Lin. I demand it." She smiled and nudged Callie. "We demand it. And you're not allowed to bring any books, Callie." They needed a day for just them. Even though they saw each other every day, they still needed time specifiucally for them.

Poor Callie, Linette thought. "Yes I promise," she crossed her heart and smiled sincerly at Callie. "It'll be fun!" She said excitedly, bouncing in her chair slightly. Though she loved the boys, she loved her sisters more. "The boys can just have their little hearts broken for a weekend, its good for them. What does daddy call it? Building character?" she laughed, knowing that's probably not what her father meant when using that term.

Callie broke into a smile. "OK, then. No boys. And," she added with a slight sigh, "no books."
This would be hard for her, because she brought books everywhere she went. There was a rumor going around, however, that she carried books in her purse to make it heavier so that she could use it as a weapon. That wasn't it, of course. The truth was that she liked reading, because it was important to her to be knowledgeable about many things. She may not have been very good in all of her subjects (she was particularly dreadful in Potions and Transfiguration), she still wanted to know as much as she could about the world around her.
"What do you want to do while we're there?" she asked.

((i was waiting to see if Bobby wanted to reply...))
"Yay!!" Linette exclaimed. She was looking forward to this. "I don't know what we would do there..." Linette said. She folded up her knees and tucked them under her in her chair. Honestly, her favorite thing to do was go to Honeydukes, because her biggest vice were sugar quills, and Linette knew she was running low on them.
"What do you think Bobby?" Linette asked.

(I was going to tonight! Sorry. Rabastan at the ball distracted me)
"Shop, of course," Bobby responded. She felt like she was a half girl sometimes. If she was in the mood, she could shop until her feet fell off. Sometimes, though, it just got on her nerves, and she couldn't deal with it.
"But good, Lin and I will ditch the boys, and you'd run them all off anyway if we didn't, and then you'll ditch the books. It will be a nice days. Sometimes, I just need my sisters." She smiled and shrugged. "Anyway, we should go to Borgan and Burkes, and Honeydukes, and if we have time, I'd like to go to Madam Malkins." The robe shop seemed to have gotten hipper, and there was a little section in the back with jewelry, which was easily Bobby's vice. She loved earrings and bracelettes most of all, even more than shoes. The other two stores were for her sisters.

Callie brightened. "Ooh, does that mean you're giving me permission to chase away any boys that come up to us while we're there? You know how I love that...."
She leaned back and folded her arms across her chest, smiling a sort of satisfied grin. "Shopping sounds good. I just wish we could go to London sometime soon... my favorite jeans have a rip in the knees, and I was hoping to pick up some more. You just can't get good muggle clothes in Hogsmeade."

Bobby laughed. "Yes, you get to chase off any boys you like. Although, I think Linette will be calling them to us just to give you more work to do."
She was already slouched on the couch, but she pulled her legs up under her as she surveyed her sisters. "I've been dying to go to London, and I don't think we'll get another chance until summer. Maybe Daddy will take us when he picks us up at the station." All the girls were close with their father... Linette was the epitome of 'daddy's girl,' and Callie was the one that he would go to when he didn't understand the other two. Bobby... Bobby was just the one in the middle. She was a Daddy's girl at heart, but she let Linette have the spotlight when she needed it.

If not for Bobby, it was entirely possible that Linette and Callie never would have been able to get along. They were too different, with entirely different ideas and values. The only things the two older triplets had in common were their face, their father, and Bobby. It was thanks to Bobby that Callie had learned to understand the way the oldest sister's mind worked.
"There's no way I can wait until summer to get new jeans," Callie sighed. "I guess I'll have to do a patch job, but magic just doesn't seem to work as well on muggle clothes."
She reached into her backpack and pulled out a small bag of potato chips. "Want any?" she asked, holding the bag out to Bobby.

"Ohh," Linette squieled, "I spy a chance to sneak out a bit, see London on our own time," she smiled mischieously. She knew some of the older students knew about passage ways out of bounds enough to apparate to London. Linette even silently admitted that she had gone on a date or two that ended up with her and the man of the hour roaming both muggle and wizarding London. "What do you think? A little adventure would be fun, yes?" she giggled.
"Oh Callie, we're going to go to dinner soon," Linette sighed as she watched her 'middle' sister pull out a bag of potato chips. Those snack foods were so unhealthy and greesy, and they made Linette crinkle her nose if offered to her. Thankfully, Callie and Bobby both knew that about her.

Bobby gave her Linette a look, just short of sticking her tongue out even, and stole a small handful of chips from Callie's bag. "You seriously have the most practical school bag I have ever seen," she commented, popping a chip in her mouth.
She shrugged at the thought of sneaking out to London. She wasn't really in the mood right now since she had just leaned back to relax, and honestly, she could skip dinner. "Maybe this weekend. Or tomorrow! I have a class I really want to skip, actually. Just after lunch. What do you say?"

One thing you could never say about Callie was that she was unprepared. She made it a practice to make sure that she was prepared for just about any possible situation. In her backpack, she kept just about anything you could think of. Besides her books, she also kept snacks, a bottle of water, some headache potion, various "feminine" supplies, and even a change of shoes. It was lucky that she could put a charm on the bag to make it lighter, or she would have been bogged down by the weight of it all.
"A little snack won't hurt us," she told Linette. After Bobby took a handful of chips, she grabbed some for herself. "Tomorrow sounds good. I have potions after lunch, and you know how I hate potions."

"I'm in," Linette said. "I have potions too, do you think Sluggy will get suspicious that you and I are both missing Callie?" She doubted it though, Linette wasn't exactly one of Slughorn's favorites, she complained too much about the disgusting things she had to touch.
She rolled her eyes as the girls finished the bag of chips. "Whatever," Linette said, no point in arguing. She looked at her watch. "What time should we go down to dinner do you think?" It was still early, and she wasn't all that hungry, so it was up to the other girls.

Callie shrugged. "He'll probably notice, since he seems to feel the need to refer to us as 'double trouble' every time he sees us." She rolled her eyes in irritation. Really, Bobby, you're lucky you're not in that class with us. It's so annoying. Anyway, it's no big deal. I'll just tell him we had 'female issues' and he'll let us off. It's actually funny to see him get all flustered about it."
She laughed at this. Callie was quite aware of her powers as a woman and never hesitated to take advantage of them. The mere mention of certain things could stop a guy in his tracks. Of course, tears were also an effective weapon, but she would never resort to that.
"We can go down whenever, really. I'm starving." She then proceeded to stuff a couple of chips in her mouth, as if to emphasize her point.

Bobby only shook her head. "I'd die in Potions. Slughorn hates me, anyway. Besides, I like the free period in the middle of the day. I feel like I can get more done."
The thing about being triplets all sharing a room... well, Slughorn would never question the fact that they were both claiming female issues. All three of them were like clockwork. In fact, the one time she had slept with a guy (and it was a long story that she still even hesitated to talk about) had ended in a scare because her two sisters started three days before her.
"I'm hungry too," she announced, pulling herself off the couch. If one of them didn't initiate heading down, they would sit up here for ever, and her stomach was going to start growling if she didn't do something soon. She held out a hand for Callie. "Come on, Linny. Enough make up."

"Works for me," Linette said. "You just tell him, I swear he likes you better than me Callie," This was probably due to the fact Linette refused to touch most of the ingredients in their potions class. She just didn't like the slimy icky things that went in potions, they made her hands feel wierd.
"Yes, starving," Linette said. She checked her make-up her small handheld mirror once more and, satisfied, snapped it shut. Then she jumped up and brushed her hands on her skirt. "Let's go." she smiled.

Callie shrugged. "He only likes me better because I don't care about touching slimy things. I mean, really, there are worse things, you know? But I'm no better in potions than you are."
She let Bobby pull her to her feet, and she had to shake her left foot out, since she had been sitting on it the whole time. Callie had a bad habit of sitting in odd positions, and often got up to find that her foot was asleep. "I hope they have something vegetarian today. Last night was so annoying, I couldn't eat anything but garden salad and bread."

Bobby rolled her eyes. She was never actually sure if Callie was a vegetarian or if she just tended to steer towards the healthy foods, but she always complained about it. "Cal, sweetie, 'vegetarian' just means 'salad' around here. Sad, but true. I could go for one of those sandwhiches... what do the Americans call them? Cheeseburgers? I already made Dad swear he'd grill some over Christmas."
The typical 'all American girl' side of her must have come from her father. In fact, of the three of them, she felt she took after him the most, but maybe that was just her own biased opinion.
"I hope there are seats left open." What she didn't realize was that being a girl and a triplet of legendary proportions like they were, people would make room for them.

It was true that Callie’s new “lifestyle choice” was a relatively recently development, but she really was trying to be serious about it. She had read something about how inhumanely animals were treated when they were raised for meat, and it horrified her. She didn’t want to support such practices. It wasn’t quite about eating healthy… the bag of greasy chips she kept in her backpack was certainly not healthy.
“Maybe I should pay a visit to the house elves and teach them a few vegetarian recipes or something. I’m sure I’m not the only one in the school who prefers not to eat meat.” She stretched her legs and started toward the door. “I’m sure your many friends will make room for you, Bobby. I, however, might have to go sit with the Hufflepuffs.”

Linette was one of those types of girls that other girls were envious of when it came to her eating habbits. She had a high and fast metabolism, so, normally, she could eat whatever she wanted and didn't have to worry about gaining weight. She tended to veer away from the greesy foods though, because one of the girls in their dorm had mentioned once that the greese in food had some sort of connection to bad acne. "I'm just hungry," Linette said with a laugh. "I could eat anything right now."
"Callie, you won't have to sit with the Hufflepuffs, there's always room for all of us," She smiled, adding in her head.: And if not, we'll make some. She realized a while back that, together, the triplets could be rather intimidating. Not scary, just, oh whats the phrase, They're better in numbers. It was like, apart, they were 3 individual young women; together, they were like some sort of super power.

"Come on, Cal, you know they'll make room for us." It was just because they were triplets that they were such a superpower. They were a fantasy, an unknown... and that made them dangerous, even on their own. But together, they owned the school.
"Besides, my of my friends are in Ravenclaw. If it weren't for the two of you, I probably would have ended up in Ravenclaw myself."
