Worried (Marauders)

[Remus Lupin]

"Yeah," Remus said. "I need to do something to get my mind off of things. I think something's happened to Sabrina... I can't explain it. It's just a gut feeling I have."

[Alastor Domino]

"Stop worrying then, she'll be fine." Sirius reassured Remus, hoping he was right. This was pretty strange for Sabrina to be gone for so long.

[Remus Lupin]

"Yeah... I know," Remus said. "It's just... something she said to me..." He sighed. "I'm sure I'm worried about nothing..."

Just then he heard footsteps approaching from the woods. "Who's there?" he called, turning around.

[Alastor Domino]

Sirius turned around quickly surprised by Remus, when he called Who's There?. He didn't see anyone. "Uh, no one's there." He told Remus.

[Wesley St. Clare]

Wesley had Apparated in the middle of the Forbidden Forest and walked slowly toward the school. He could hardly see through the tears in his eyes as he carried his daughter's body in his arms. Even now, he thought, she still looked like her mother. As he approached the edge of the forest, he heard a boy's voice call out. He said nothing until he stepped out from the trees. "I'm sorry, I... I have to take her to the hospital wing," he said in a dim voice.

[Alastor Domino]

Sirius suddenly saw a man carrying someone. "Who's her and who are you?" Sirius asked the man as he walked out of the forest.

[Remus Lupin]

Remus ran to the man, who, although he'd never seen before, seemed somehow familiar. As he got closer, he realized the man was carrying Sabrina. "S...Sabrina?" he gasped. "Who are you... what happened? Is she hurt?"

[Alastor Domino]

Sirius stood back as Remus rushed over to the man. He gasped when he saw who the man was carrying. Sabrina.

[Wesley St. Clare]

Wesley sighed and looked at the boy. "I'm her father," he said quietly. "She's... she's dead. I'm sorry.... I just... I have to take her to the hospital wing..." Tears streamed down his cheeks. He couldn't talk to these boys anymore. He had to go. He took a deep breath and walked toward the castle.

[Remus Lupin]

"D....dead?" Remus repeated numbly. "No... no... she can't be..." He sank down to the grass and watched as the man who said he was Sabrina's father walked away with her lying limply in his arms.

[Albus Dumbledore]

Dumbledore apparated into the Forbidden Forest with Landon. "Well, we're here," he said. "We'll just have to walk up to the castle. Are you OK? I know sidealong apparating can be difficult, especially the first time."

[Voltaire Rothschild]

Voltaire Apperated just behind Wesley and Dumbledore and walked silently with Rori toward the castle. Spotting a group of Gryffindor boys he told them in the same cold hard voice "You should all head for the Castle." his tone really didn't hold for argument.

[Landon Travis]

"No, I'm fine, sir." Landon replied, quietly. Truthfully, he wasn't fine. But it wasn't the side-along apparition that was making him sick. He saw Remus with James and a few other of his friends a little ways away. He couldn't look at Remus, who was watching them grimly, no doubt unable to take the news- just as Landon had feared. It really wasn't fair after all that had happened to him. Landon simply continued up to the castle with Dumbledore and Rori and Professor Rothschild. He silently wondered how Rori was taking it. She hadn't said a word since it happened and he was beginning to worry about her.

James looked up when the older man walked out of the forbidden forest, carrying the body of a girl who looked all too much like Sabrina. He watched as Remus ran up to the man and started questioning him until the man finally admitted that Sabrina had died. James couldn't help but feel terribly sorry for Remus. He knew how much he had liked Sabrina and how much trouble he was having with understanding her lately. He slowly walked up to Professor Rothschild and Rori, who also looked painfully shaken, and followed them up to the castle.

[Rori Logan]

Rori followed along with Voltaire, still not speaking. The whole thing hadn't really hit her that Sabrina was dead, the whole scene kept playing in her mind. It was the second death she had seen within the past year. Rori glanced over to Landon, then back towards the group of Gryffindors. She felt bad for Remus and was dreading it whenever he found out.

[Remus Lupin]

Remus barely heard Voltaire, but he got up and followed slowly behind them. He moved automatically, while his mind was filled with confusing thoughts and his heart ached terribly. How could Sabrina be dead? Why had it happened? It just didn't seem fair.

Peter was shocked. Hadn't he just been telling Remus that Sabrina was fine? That he was worring for nothing? And now... now she was dead. He sat where he was looking as Remus followed the procession up towards school. He got up and followed sadly.

[Alastor Domino]

Alastor and Natalie apparated into the forest. He carried her the rest of the way and saw everyone standing, getting ready to walk off. They walked with the rest of them.

Sirius followed behind Peter, thinking of how he had almost lost Kris. He walked slowly behind everyone.

[Natalie St. Clare]

Natalie was stil crying as her uncle carried her back to the school. She was only dimly aware of the other students who had happened to be nearby. All she knew was that she wanted to sleep, to forget about this day, and hope that when she woke up, it would all be just a dream.

[Alastor Domino]

Alastor continued to stroke her head to calm her down. It was going to be very hard on Natalie, he knew that. It would probably be the hardest on her.
