Remus wandered out to the tree by the lake. Tomorrow was the full moon again, and with it, would come the attacks. For the first time ever, he was going to break out of the Shrieking Shack and help Zander, Chloe, and the others to fight against Greyback. It worried him deeply. How could he be sure that he would be able to keep his mind enough not to lose control and bite an innocent bystander? Frowning deeply, he threw a large rock into the lake, watching it make a satisfyingly loud SPLOSHing noise in the water. How he wished he has something to distract his mind from his fears...

Allison had deicded to take a walk outside of the castle also hoped that she wouldnt get lost. She continued walking when she realized that she was at the lake. "Wow its beautiful...." She said as she walked down by it.

Remus saw a girl approaching and smiled at her, relieved to have something to focus on other than his problems. He would have talked to just about anyone at this point. He smiled at the girl. "Hey," he said. "You're new, right?"

She laughed alittle at all the questions but smiled. "Umm I've been at Hogwarts for three days and sorta learnd my way around and Im in Gryffindor. What about you?"

"It'll take you a while to learn your way around," Remus said. "I still only barely know enough to get to my classes. But my friends, James and Sirius, and I are planning to start doing some exploring around here. I think there are even secret passages somewhere. Anyway, I'm in Gryffindor, too. It's pretty much the best house... although, I like Ravenclaw, too. My, uh... my girlfriend's in Ravenclaw."

"Yeah, come to think of it, I've hardly seen Sirius these days. I think he's having some trouble catching up on his classwork. Or maybe he's just too cool for us," Remus said, frowning. "Yeah, Sabrina is my girlfriend. She's a little older than me... she's a third year. She's the smartest in her grade," he added proudly. "She helps me in Potions... I need it desperately. Have you been to any classes yet?"

"No not yet I cant wait to start though." She smiled at him as he said that his girlfriend was the smartest girl in her grade. "Really thats awesome!" "I wonder what it would be like to have a boyfriend." She thought again this boyfriend thing was probably going to bug her the rest of the day.

"Oh, OK. Well, the classes are pretty cool. As I said, I'm terrible in Potions, but Defense Against the Dark Arts is cool. Professor Rothschild is cool... it's hard to believe she used to be mean, but now she's nice. She's very pregnant, though," he added with a laugh. "Um, what else... we haven't had Transfiguration in a while, because our teacher went away and hasn't come back. But Charms is OK. Oh, and have you joined the Dueling club yet? Voltaire... uh, Professor Rothschild--the other one--is funny, but cool. You should join."

She smiled alittle the dueling club sounded cool but it also sounded dangerous. "Is it dangerous?" She asked because she never dueled before in her life and didnt want to do something where she would get seriously hurt in.

Remus shook his head. "No... we really haven't dueled yet, anyway. I think we will soon, but we're pretty much just being told to use certain spells until we get used to what we're doing. Besides, our professor used to be a professional dueler, I'm sure he would be able to make sure everyone is safe."

She nodded and smiled again. "I think I might join then I also want to try flying that looks like alot of fun." She couldn't wait to get on a broom her brother was on a quidditch team here and heard all about it from him and it sounded like alot of fun to her.

Remus shrugged. "OK, no problem." He looked out at the lake and saw the giant squid pop up for a second to grab at something near the surface. "Oh, there's Herbert," he commented. "Um, that's the giant squid. Rori calls him Herbert."

She looked at the squidand smiled alittle. "Herbert nice name." She had never seen a squid and it was interesting to see for the first time she heard about it ofcourse from her family but didnt know wheather to believe them or not.

"He's basically pretty harmless," Remus said. "He just minds his own business and swims around in there. Some of the kids like to swim in there when the weather is nice, and he never even bothers with them. There are a lot of weird things around here... did you grow up in a magical family?"
