Gilderoy was sitting by the lake, watching the sun go down as he drew a self portrait of himself. He constantly looked into his mini-mirror, checking to make sure he got the details right. However, he purposely exaggerated his hair and facial features. He was an okay artist. Not the best at regular subjects, but when it came to self portraits, they didn't look half-bad. He grinned at his progress.

Sabrina walked out by the lake. She was looking for a quiet place to read her Dark Magic book. As she approached the big tree by the water, she saw the boy who had tried to fight Yuna in Dueling club. He looked like he was concentrating really hard on something, but he also kept looking in his mirror. Intrigued, Sabrina walked up to him. "Hi," she said. "Gilderoy, right? What are you doing?"

"Yes, that's me! I'm drawing a self-portrait of myself. I usually send them as my Christmas cards..." Gilderoy smiled at the girl. "You're Sabrina, right? How do you like it?" He asked her, showing her his final piece.

Sabrina found herself smiling back. Gilderoy might not have been a genius, but he had a nice smile. "It's not a bad likeness, actually," she said, sitting down next to him. "I don't draw much myself. I mostly just read." She tossed her long hair over her shoulder and set down the book she had brought out. Suddenly she didn't feel much like reading. "It's a nice night," she commented.

Gilderoy nodded, "I like coming out here when the sun goes down. Its always nice for reading or drawing, or whatever peaceful hobby you have a liking for." He said, smiling. For once, he had gotten through an entire few moments without thinking about himself. It actually made him seem a bit smarter and more interesting.

Sabrina smiled again. Maybe this guy wasn't quite as shallow as she thought. "Yeah, I like to watch the sunset out here, too. And I like the time right after the sun goes down, but it's not quite dark yet. You can see the darkness spreading across the sky and the first stars come out..." She looked at him, feeling a little awkward.

Gilderoy chuckled slightly as he continued to look out to the sky. He flipped his page on his notepad and began drawing the sunset this time. He felt nice. It wasn't like he had to try and be the best for once or to try and show off. Once he had finished his drawing, he looked at for a moment, surprised at how good it had actually turned out. It was unusual for any drawing unrelated to himself to come out any good. He searched around for something in his mind to talk about. "Umm...so you play quidditch? You seemed to be pretty good during last match."

"Yeah, I do. My dad used to practice with me when I was younger. He taught me how to fly and how to play each of the positions. I started as a Chaser in my first year, and I was switched to Keeper last year." Sabrina leaned against the tree. "You did some good commentary, too, by the way. It was pretty funny, actually." She opened her book and flipped through the pages. She was still studying Dark Magic, even though she didn't think she'd ever get to use it on her mother's killer. "What do your parents do, anyway?"

"Ah, well my mother is where I get my inspiration from. She's a retired wizard-wear model." Gilderoy replied, smiling. "And my dad, he's a muggle, is the manager of some muggle restaurant. So they're pretty cool. What about you?"

"Oh, that's nice," said Sabrina. She sighed and looked out at the setting sun. "My parents are dead. My mother was an Auror, and my father was an Unspeakable. I know my mother was murdered, but they said Daddy's death was an accident. Something about falling through a veil in the Department of Mysteries. I don't buy it, though. He knew what that thing did, he wouldn't have just fallen."

"I'm sorry." Gilderoy replied, truthfully. "I've never heard about the Department of Mysteries, or....unspeakables? What are they? What do they do exactly, if I may ask?" He looked at her curiously.

Sabrina shrugged. "The Department of Mysteries is where they research some of the biggest mysteries of the world, things like life and death and time. I don't know much else about it, since my dad wasn't allowed to talk about what he did, really. That's why they're called Unspeakables, because they can't talk about what they learn. It's too much for the average person to know."

"Sounds like a heck of a job..." Gilderoy replied, chuckling. "I don't have much of an idea of what I want to do really..." He paused, thinking. "Quidditch commentating is awfully fun. But, then again, I've always wanted to be a writer or a Daily Prophet editor or do something in the hair department." He grinned, imagining himself as a hair stylist. "Hmmm...or maybe I'll go on wonderful adventures with magical beasts and document them in best selling books! Ha!" He joked, laughing. "What about you?"

Sabrina shrugged. "I guess I just always thought I'd be an Auror, like my mother. I look just like her, you know. In pictures of her from when she was my age, we look almost exactly alike. I can't quite get over her death, because I see her face whenever I look in the mirror."

"Then she must've been pretty." Gilderoy grinned and then blushed slightly. "I'm sure she was a nice person though. Protecting the wizard community from the evil guys and all."

Sabrina smiled. "Thanks. She was very beautiful and warm and caring, but tough. I really hope I'll get to be like her one day." She looked at him. "You know, you have a very charming smile. I bet you could be a wizard-wear model like your mother."

Gilderoy shrugged, trying to be humble. "Thanks. I mean...possibly. There's a chance." He chuckled, smiling. "You have a sister, too, right? I've seen her walking around here, climbing trees."

Sabrina nodded and looked up in the tree, making sure Natalie wasn't up in the tree at that very moment. "Yeah, Natalie. She's always liked climbing trees and just sitting up there for hours. She did it so much that my dad built her a tree house in our tree at home. But lately, she's been hanging out with Severus Snape a lot. I mean, it's nice that she has friends, but he's a strange choice, wouldn't you think?"

Gilderoy chuckled for no reason and shrugged, "I've hardly met the fellow. I've seen him occasionally, and he does seem to be a bit shy...and maybe a little strange too. But from what I've seen of Natalie, she's not exactly the most popular little kid either? No offense to her, of course. But they seem like they might make a nice pair." He replied.

"Well, Natalie is a bit odd, I guess. It can be hard to get to know her, because she's very quiet and likes to climb trees a lot. I don't know, I guess Severus is also kind of moody. I guess that makes some sense. Still, I worry about her..." She sighed and stared out at the lake.
