She was blond. Anywhere from seventeen to twenty four, you couldn't really tell with how much make up the girl wore, at least that was before when you could see her face clearly. Now her hair was matted with crimson hiding her face all together.
Her hands were bound behind her and her feet tied together as if she were some sort of animal meant to be put down. She was wrapped in a sheet of plastic covering what other contusions and marks he might have made on her body. All of that would be determined by the coronor and there was no point in displaying his artwork quite so vulgarly yet. He knew every scratch, every pain. By the time he was through with her he knew everything about her, more than she had even known about herself.
He gave one last long look at the obscene picture he had created, studying her fine features, trying to remember what they looked like before he had defiled her image. Then he turned away and left as if he had never seen her before, as if nothing had ever happened.
Surely there were some people in the world who would have been outraged. The crime was so vile, so despicable. He would pay. Surely, he must pay...
Simon smiled at the thought.
With the recent attacks perhaps the imbeciles down at the ministry would chalk it up to another Death Eater disturbance. It didn't really matter, Simon was a professional in his field, he knew exactly how they would go about investigating her death, and he knew exactly how to hide his own hand in the matter.
Deposited in the back alley behind the new Club where she had been spotted dancing just a few days before, she'd end up as just another warning parents tell their daughters. This girl obviously hadn't listened, but it was true, there were many dangers in the night, and Simon had only just begun.

The next morning, the MLE department got a notice that a couple of them were needed. Naturally, Daniel and Sean were the ones to jump on it first.
One of the workers at Enchanted, a popular club in London and one that Daniel himself had visited several times, discovered something horrible. The man who took out the trash didn't even want to describe what he saw. Daniel's curiousity got the best of him and he had to make sure that he and Sean got there.
Arriving at Enchanted, the worker pointed them in the direction of the Alley. "I just took out the trash this morning, and it was there," he said shakingly. "Alright, just calm down," Daniel tried to say. Sean was better with people than he was, but it didn't mean that Dan didn't try. "Sean, want to go first or should I?"

Sean was already trying to calm the guy down, a gentle, in control look on his face. "It's all right, sir. Daniel and I will handle everything from here. Thank you for calling us to take care of this."
Whatever this was. They still didn't know, but Sean had a very bad feeling in the pit of his stomach. Whatever it was, it was bad enough for the MLE to be notified, and bad enough that this guy refused to step outside with them.
He gave Daniel a look. "You're older and sexier. That means you go first." This was Dan's logic, and really only worked with Sean in situations where he didn't want to go first. But also, Dan would know if it was something that would affect Sean, and would at least be able to warn him if he saw it first.

Oh, so now Sean believed in his logic. A grin appeared on Daniel's face. "I'm glad you finally see it my way," he said with a hint of teasing. Daniel wasn't scared to go first, he just thought he would ask Sean if he wanted to.
"So, let's go," he said walking into the Alleyway first. Daniel walked slow, observing everything, until he finally saw what the man had been talking about. He froze in utter disgust. Never had he seen a body like that. It was wrapped in plastic covering. Sean wouldn't probably want to see it, so Daniel put up a hand telling him to stop. He would get the body himself and unwrap her to see everything wrong with her. "Sean, you might want to go ahead and contact the Coronor."

Sean took a breath, looking skyward as Daniel turned to him. That meant he didn't want to see whoever was there... and if they were getting a coroner, it was a who.
But Sean also knew there was a chance he could help, if he saw something when he looked at the body. "I'll be back, Dan," he said softly, going back inside to send a message to the Coroner, asking him to come down. It was a few minutes before he came back to his brother and finally took in the scene.
He was as disgusted as Dan. Who would do something like this? "I think we can rule out Death Eaters."

After Sean left, Daniel couldn't do anything but stare at the body for a moment longer. He started to look around to see if he could find any kind of weapon or something of that sort.
"I do too," he answered as Sean reappeared. "They seem not to waste their time. This one... this is just pure torture." Daniel shook his head. "There's not any kind of weaponary, or anything like that around. Its clean around here, almost like the body was just dumped and left here for someone to find." The poor girl. This was the part of the job that Daniel hated the most. After they identified the body, he knew that they would have to go to the parents.

Sean also hated telling the family. It was one of the worst parts of this job... what he loved, though, was telling the family that the person responsible had been caught. That always felt good.
He knelt down next to the body, gently pulling some of the plastic back, and he gave Dan a look. "I'm going to see... just if I can see anything."
Slowly, he touched the girl's face. Her hair was dry and matted with blood, and he prepared himself for the headache that would come in a moment.
Sure enough, he felt the images trying to creep into his mind. He tried not to fight it.
A few seconds later, though it felt like much longer to Sean, he pulled his hand away from her face. "She never saw her attacker's face. Or she didn't get a very clear look," he said, pressing his other hand into his eyes.

Kate arrived on scene just as Sean was touching the victim. A bolt of anger went through her, she didn't want the scene disturbed, and at the same time she hadn't fully seen what had happened to the girl. Moments from ripping into Sean, unaware that he was a seer, she lost her breath at the sight of the victim.
It took her a moment however to regain her composure, in her line of work she had to remain detached, she had to instead focus on the man responsible so she could put him behind bars where he belonged, and yet the sight had sickened her so much that she failed to introduce herself, as it was she looked like a simple citizen intruding on an investigation. Which reminded her, she needed to have the alleyway sectioned off, she was just happy there were no reporters about.

Looking over the body again, Daniel did his best not to shiver. He couldn't help but wonder what kind of sick person would do something like that. Daniel was used to seeing odd things, but this was the first time that he had ever seen anything like this. The torture was visible on the girl, and Daniel wished that he could go back and try to stop it.
Just as Sean touched the girl's body, he swallowed. He wasn't sure what he was going to see. Part of him hoped that the girl was out of it when any of this happened to her, and she didn't feel anything, another part of him hoped that she did see the face of her attacker.
Daniel sighed. Of course, there wouldn't be much luck for them to automatically figure out who it was that killed her. He reached down and put a hand on Sean's shoulder. "We should see if we can get anything from the body that could help us identify her or anything like that," he said. He heard someone come up, and he looked to the woman that appeared in the alley. Clearing his throat, he took a small step from the body. "Can we help you," he asked.

"Yes." she said pulling her eyes away from the victim, "I need this alleyway sectioned off, I don't want any reporters catching wind of this until we can prepare a statement. I also would like to know what he was doing touching the body. Has anything been photographed? The scene combed?" she asked rapid fire, the best way to remove herself emotionally was to pour herself into the work she needed to do. This was a sick case and even the dumbest detective alive would be able to tell this was the work of a professional, and to the keener eye, it was just the beginning. Kate intended to stop it in it's early tracks. Right then she was looking at the body from a cold detached position, "Who are you..." she murmured aloud,"What was he looking for?" she asked more to herself, there had to be some reason the murderer settled on this woman.
"How fast can we figure out who she is?" all this was said with little regard to the two men who were on scene first then as if remembering herself, "I'm Kate, Detective Kate Donaghy."

"Look lady," Daniel began, "you shouldn't just come waltzing in here and throwing out orders, we know, what we're doing, and one question at a time." He did his best to refrain from rolling his eyes. His tongue usually starting moving before his brain had time to process his real thoughts.
"We just got here and we'll section the alley off in just a moment. Don't worry about any reporters, and we're doing our job. He was just checking her head, that was all." Daniel wasn't about to tell this woman the real reason as to why Sean touched the girl. "Nothing has been photographed yet, we just got here a few moments ago." He did his best to answer her questions, although he still wondered who in the world she was.
Daniel looked back to his brother then glanced over the body again. They were going to have one hell of a day. "We're not sure how fast that will be. If she doesn't have any identification on her, then we'll have to take her to St. Mungo's to check records. The coroner should be here shortly since we've already sent for him." All this was said looking at the body. Daniel couldn't even imagine...
Looking back to the woman, he didn't know if he should extend his hand in greeting or not. Rubbing the back of his neck he gave a short nod. "Well Detective, I'm Daniel Leviner, and this is my brother Sean. We're with the MLE."

She was brisk and to the point and didn't take offense at his tone at all. Instead she was wrapped up with the body, and trying to get into the psychopath's head, a journey she was never keen on taking but it was essential to the job.
She was wondering why only two MLE's there and yet she was happy there wasn't a million officers disturbing her scene. She was mildly conscious of the fingerprints the other man might have put on the body and she knew it was best to be first on scene when nothing was touched or moved in any way, she could reconstruct what happened.
She nodded at him, "Wish we could've met under better circumstances." she said but moved toward the body without paying him much mind. Her social skills could have used some work but there was nothing lacking in her detective skills.
"She was brought here specifically, the way she's positioned, the murderer wanted to make a point." She saw the flashes behind her and relieved that photographs were being taken, and the scene combed, she used her wand to magically lift the plastic, then swallowed. Her body was worse than her face and that was saying something.

Sean was having a hard time taking in all of this. His head was still pounding with the vision the body had given him, and the woman's brisk and curt tone weren't helping.
"Can you both just be quiet for a moment?" he asked, his tone quiet but commanding. He was still working through the images in his head, trying to find anything useful. It was a man, but they could have guessed that much. He knew what he was doing, which was a disturbing thought... and meant that any sort of healer was suddenly a suspect.
He pressed his clean palm into his eyes, trying to urge the headache away.

Kate was coming to a similar conclusion about a healer or someone who had a good background in anatomy, some of the marks on the woman could not have been coincidence. The only flaw was that not everything was so neat and clean, there were some cuts and marks that were jagged not precise at all, but perhaps they were meant to throw them off.
Right now the only thing Kate was really certain of, was that this was a professional's work, and that the professional wasn't done, not by a long shot.
Kate both loved and hated cases like this. She loved the challenge, she loved putting away some sick man. She hated the tradgedy, the sickness, and now the feeling she refused to accept in the pit of her stomach that told her to turn and look away from the body. That such a sight was too grotesque to handle. It was true, but it was hardly applicable, she had a job to do, she would do it.
Kate was quiet then, responding to the voice of authority, although she was far more into her head than actually concerned with obeying an order. She was taking in everything drawing conclusions but never limiting her options. She looked at the crime from every angle, she would take away as much information as possible.

August was a little surprised to be the first member of the Daily Prophet staff to arrive on the scene. Usually, he was called in after one of the reporters found something, but who was he to complain?
While he stood in the doorway, the three (what he could only assume were) MLE officers were unaware of his presence. He knew the instant he made himself known, they'd try to get him out of there. He'd already caught a picture of the blonde kid touching the body. He could see someone writing an article on how the MLE contaminated scenes to protect people. Whatever... he just took the pictures.
He stepped closer to get a better shot now that the face was partially revealed, and snapped another photo, just waiting for them to round on him.

One thing about Daniel was if he saw something he didn't like, he wouldn't have a problem telling it.
Seeing the photographer made Dan's temper start to rise. "Excuse me a minute, something I need to take care of," he said as he walked over to the photographer. Daniel walked up beside him and cleared his throat. "You're not supposed to be here yet," he stated plainly. "We're going to deal with the Prophet later after the coroner gets here."

August smiled. He had expected this, and gave the other two a little wave as Daniel approached him. "Hey, I'm just doing my job, same as you. And as long I don't touch anything-" he looked rather pointedly at Sean, "-I'm allowed to be here."
Daniel could push and shove all he wanted, but August had his paycheck coming in just as they did, and he didn't take orders from them. He wasn't hurting anything. He wasn't even going to ask questions. That would be Paige's job, or whoever was sent here next. "I'll be quiet and out of the way. Go ahead and finish what you were doing."

Daniel knew he couldn't really argue with the man. He wasn't really bothering anything and he was being quiet; however, Daniel was not his brother. "Look, I know that you're trying to do your job just like we're trying to do ours. Although right now, we're not quite finished with our investigation of the scene." He sighed, knowing that he couldn't really make the man leave. "Just wait before you snap pictures, alright? You can just stay right there, but no more pictures, not until the coroner gets here." He looked at the man pointedly.
"After he gets here, you can snap away."

Oh they could do much more to the man then he believed. He was not supposed to be photographing anything, that's why they were supposed to clear the scene.
Kate stood up and removed her gloves heading over to the two gentlemen.
"Excuse me is there a problem ?" she asked of Daniel, then pointedly glanced at August.
Meanwhile putting up a bluring shield around the crime scene. It should have already been done but they had been careless.

Dexter arrived on the scene after being messaged. He looked around the club and didn't see many people around. I guess this death shut down the party he thought to himself. He noticed a man talking to a reporter. He walked over to them both, "I'm Dexter, you sent for me," he said looking at the MLE officer. "What are we dealing with," he asked getting straight to business, he didn't find much enjoyment in talking to people.
