Investigating

[Remus Lupin]

Remus hugged her back for a minute, feeling thoroughly confused. Tears were still burning in his eyes, but he refused to let them fall. "How-how did you figure it out? Was I that obvious? You don't think anyone else knows, do you?" He pulled back and looked at her sadly. "How come you're not afraid of me? Or disgusted? Most people don't want anything to do with me when they find out..."

[Rori Logan]

"Well, no you're not obvious. I just had a hunch. I followed you, then I put two and two together. You forget my family was full of smart people, excluding my mother." she said with a smile. "I'm not afraid of you, becuase I shouldn't be. I'm not disgusted with you, because you're my friend. Everyone has there little secrets. Your secret, at least to me, doesn't change you one bit. You're the same Remus Lupin I met on the train. I'm not going to leave you behind just because of this. Friendship runs deeper than that. I still see the Remus Lupin I know, no matter what." she finished up with a smile.

[Remus Lupin]

Remus wiped at his eyes. "Th-thanks, Rori. I--I've never had friends before, especially once people found out about me. I was only 5 years old when I was bitten... we didn't even think I'd get to come to Hogwarts at all. Dumbledore made special arrangements for me. I take a secret passage under the Whomping Willow into an old abandoned house in town, and I can't get out and no one can get in." He sighed heavily. "I hate it. Not the house, I mean... all of it. It's really painful and without anything around me to bite, I...." he trailed off miserably, rubbing a fresh scar on his arm. "Well, anyway, who is this Mr. Corrigan again and what does he want with me?"

[Rori Logan]

"Mr. Corrigan is an Auror. He wants to get you on his side so that he can help protect you if say something should happen, such as Greyback coming to the school. I'm not saying that he will, but there is always that possiblity." Rori explained. "You can come with me to Hogsmede and I'll introduce you two, I mean if you want to that is."

[Remus Lupin]

"G-Greyback?" Remus repeated worriedly. "Mr. Corrigan thinks he'll come here? I... I knew it was a bad idea for me to come here! I should probably leave here..." He took a deep breath. "If this Mr. Corrigan is protecting the school and wants to protect me, then yeah... I'll... I'll talk to him." He shuddered. "Ever since I found out about Greyback and that he was the one that bit me... I've never seen him, but I've heard of him. I hear he's really scary..."

[Rori Logan]

"Remus, you are not leaving school! If you try to I'll tie you up in a room and lock you in it." said Rori seriously. "We can go to Hogsmede tomorrow, since tomorrow is the weekend."

[Remus Lupin]

"OK, OK, I won't leave," Remus said. "I just... I don't want to endanger anyone. I guess we can see Mr. Corrigan tomorrow. Hopefully he can help."

[Rori Logan]

"I think he'll be able too. I'll meet you at the Hogs Head tomorrow morning, oh say 9 o'clock?" said Rori.

[Remus Lupin]

"OK, I'll meet you there," he said quietlly. He sighed sadly. "You can't even imagine what it's like growing up with this kind of curse on your head. I've never had a normal life... this is the closest I've ever come. I don't want that to change because of this guy. I like feeling like a normal kid, you know?"

[Rori Logan]

"You won't change, I promise." said Rori giving him a grin. "If you need to talk again or anything, you know where to find me, I'm usually everywhere." said Rori still grinning. "Well, we better go try and get some rest, I'll see you first thing in the morning."

[Remus Lupin]

"OK, Rori, I'll see you then," Remus said. "And... thanks." He smiled at her.
