Gage wondered idely around Hogsmeade, having just left Logan's apartment. He wanted to stop by his brother's and tell him about his time at the ball with Lily, and they ended up staying for lunch. Now he was walking around a little, heading toward the sweet shop and stocking up before he was ready to head back to Hogwarts.
As he exited Honeydukes, Gage saw a familiar figure nearby and found himself at a conflict. Should he talk to her? Say hi and ask whats been going on with her? Or should he just ignore her and walk by looking the other way.
Lucky for Gage, his sister made the decision for him.

Lexi was in Hogsmeade on a mission, she was supposed to be picking up more glasses from one of the shops there. Some of the patrons at the Rusty Nail had gotten into a bar fight the night prior and smashed the majority of glasses beyond magical repair. Her boss wanted to make sure they spent as little as possible when replacing the glasses and he had tracked down cheap mugs in one of the small shops in Hogsmeade, sending Lexi out to fetch them as it cost more to have them shipped over to the bar. Lexi was happy for the change and accepted the job with a smile.
She had already picked up the glasses and was just wandering around, wasting time, when she saw her little brother Gage. He seemed to have noticed her but wasn't coming up to her. Had Logan really brain washed him against her so easily? Lexi approached with a wary smile. "Hey there Gage. You aren't avoiding me, are you?"

"Lexi!" Gage gave his big sister a genuine smile. He didn't really even know why his sister was the family black sheep these days, just that she was. Well, he WAS 12, he could have his own opinion about THAT.
"How are you?" he asked.

"Well if that's not a warm welcome, I don't know what is." She smiled back at the youngster. She glanced around and realized her brother was all by himself. Didn't he have any friends? "I've been good." She had, it wasn't just one of those things people said.
"How about you? How's school going?"

"School is good," Gage shrugged. "No complaints, just school." He smiled and looked around, wondering why his sister was out here all alone. Didn't she know there was an attack here not too long ago?
"My friend Maxi is in the tournament at school," he held up the bag of chocolate in his hand. "I got her something, hope she'll be less nervous about the second task comming up."

That was pretty much how she had felt about school too. It was just something you had to do. Nothing too great or depressing. She looked at his bag with the Honeyduke's symbol on it. "That's great. What was the first task?" She hadn't been keeping up with things at the school like her brother Logan probably was. She had other things to do. But the tournament gave the siblings something to talk about, which was good.

"They had to go into the forbidden forrest," Gage said. "And get this jewel or something, I dunno..." He shrugged. "But there was this troll they had to pass and Maxi, thats my friend, got picked up by the troll and dropped her! She broke her ankle, but she cam in third, which is alright, but she really wants to win, so she's working really hard on the next task." He breathed heavily, forgetting to breath inbetween sentences like he so often did.

Logan was about the town, checking out Honeydukes, as a present for Lennie and Luka. Their birthday was coming up, and he wanted to make it special. He was in a great mood as he approached the shop, but upon seeing two people near the entrance, his smile dropped. Lexi was speaking with Gage.
He stalked over quickly, and put his hands on Gage's shoulders. "Fancy seeing you two here." His voice held little emotion, and he was staring Lexi down.

"That sounds awfully dangerous for you guys." Lexi was glad now that Gage was not involved with the tournament. As a student she had gone into the Forbidden Forest more times than she could count, and most of the time she'd come out fine, laughing with her friends or boyfriends. But a few times she'd run into trouble and knew why the place was forbidden. Why on earth would they want the student to go in there?
Lexi caught sight of Logan stalk toward them before he actually spoke, and her posture stiffened. She was not a fan of Logan, and he wasn't a fan of hers. "Logan," she said curtly. "Don't you a family to be running somewhere else?"

Uh-Oh. Gage thought. This is what made being the middle child difficult. Gage had no real reason to hate his big sister. His parents had already brainwashed the twins, and Logan obviously picked their side. Gage was still undecided.
Gage looked up at his big brother. "Hey Logan," Gage said, pretending nothing was wrong. "Lexi and I just ran into each other." he smiled.

"Oh," Logan address his younger brother before he started to glare at Lexi with a full force glare. Lexi wasn't the kind of person that Logan nessecarily wanted Gage to associate with, and her snarky remarks were oh so attractive.
"I believe I have some family right here, actually," his grip tightened on Gage's shoulders. "Don't you have something better to do? Something that doesn't include me or my family?"

"Ow," Gage whispered as his brother's grip tightened. "Dudes, guys..." But Gage knew it was pointless. They were going to argue, it was going to suck, but Gage knew he had to sit through it...

Lexi's jaw flexed as she gritted her teeth. She really hated Logan and wished Gage didn't like him so much. She still had hope for her youngest siblings. "Nope, can't think of a thing," she replied sarcastically, he hand moving to her hip and her weight shifting to one leg. She stared hard at her brother, daring him to say something more.

Logan pushed his hair out of his eyes, and wanted to get in a full on shouting match with her, just like old times. He didn't see anything redeeming in her, but it might have been sibling rivalry that triggered that little switch, back when they were kids. But he was older now, he couldn't act like a child anymore.
"What are you planning on doing then?" He desperately wanted to add something to the end of his sentence, something mean and nasty. But he refrained.

Gage sighed, this was getting ridiculous. "You two are going to drive me up the wall!" Gage shouted. "I bet you two don't even know what you're fighting about these days! You just fight for the sake of fighting." Gage didn't know what was coming over him. He'd never really shouted at his family members before. Especially Logan. But he wasn't going to sit through another stupid fight.

Lexi glared at him. She would never understand what gave him the right to act so morally superior over her. Just because he was Mum and Dad's little lapdog didn't mean she had to be.
"Oh, I don't know, Logan. I thought maybe I'd stand here and listen to you talk about how great you are and what a worthless piece of trash I am, since that seems to be all you ever talk about," Lexi sneered. She crossed her arms over her chest and looked down at him (she was an inch taller than he was and never let him forget it). " Honestly, I have never done one thing to you; I just don't happen to think you're Merlin's gift to wizardkind, like you obviously do."
She cast a sympathetic look at Gage. She actually felt sorry for him; he was in a terrible position, and he shouldn't have to sit around and listen to his older siblings fighting for no reason. "You know, Gage, you don't have to listen to him all the time. You're allowed to make up your own mind on things. We were having a nice chat before he got here, so maybe I'm not the next Dark Lord, as Logan would have you believe."
