Ophelia didn't notice Kassia's reaction. She was too wrapped up in her own happiness. "Yes, piano. I'm very excited about it. I want to be good at something, to have a talent or an interest other than just my looks. Don't you think that's a good idea, Kassi? I mean Ally has her books and you have... well, worrying about everyone else. I just have looking pretty all the time, and while I like that... I want to be more than that. You know? So Tyler's going to help me. It'll be fun! Like a little project!"

Tyler thought that it was a little creepy how Kassia could turn up out of nowhere. However, she seemed to be a quiet individual and not to mention he was already distracted, so he just didn't see her come up until she spoke.
He noticed that Kassia didn't speak to him, so he kept his mouth closed. Tyler wasn't sure what was going on and why she looked at him the way she did, but he didn't say anything. He couldn't help but smile at Ophelia's happiness. Once she curled her arms around him, Tyler put an arm around her shoulders. This was something he could get used to.
"I think that she'll be very good at it once she learns," Tyler finally spoke up and looked from Kassia to Ophelia with a smile.

Kassia nodded, " She'll be good at whatever she puts her mind to." she said absently. Kassia had other traits worth mentioning, she was very good at many things. Piano for instance. She also had a pleasant voice, she could sew, she could arrange servants with the utmost efficiency, she knew how to run a household all on her own, she read extensively everything from philosophy to fluff, but Kassia preferred the shadows, especially since Ophelia blossomed in the light.
Kassi wasn't sure where she would blossom but she was determined never to do so if it deterred either of her sisters from blossoming. She always put them and the family first.

Ophelia never really knew how many interests and talents Kassia had. The only one she ever seemed to use, as far as Fee was concerned, was the talent for worrying. She could understand Allaire a little better, because, for all of Allaire's bookish tendencies, she, like Ophelia, was a romantic at heart. But Kassia was a virtual stranger to her, someone whose thoughts and actions were utterly foreign to Ophelia. She didn't understand her sister, and she never really tried to. Perhaps if she had tried, they would have been closer and she could have brought Kassia out of her self-induced shell.
"I can't wait to get started!" she squealed. "It'll be so much fun! Kassi, do you think Daddy will happy?"

He'll be something alright, Kassia thought, but kept her smile. She wasn't about to ruin Ophelia's happiness, " Of course, he'll be proud of you for expanding your horizons." she said with a light nod of encouragement. She wasn't sure she should be encouraging her sister to spend time with this boy but she wasn't exactly doing that, as much as she was encouraging her to learn the piano.
