[Roman Jetter]

"Well then I'm sure they'll get along perfect," Roman looked him in the eye for two seconds before staring at her hands again. "But Tjaden likes it a lot. Of course, he'd rather be here, but there's nothing I can do." She shrugged. "But we should bring them together sometime. I bet they'd appraciate it."

[Gryffin Edwin]

Gryffin nodded, 'who wouldn't to be here' he thought to him self. "I'm sure if you could bring him here you would," he said knowing how protective you can end up being of a younger sibling. "Yeah, maybe over the next holiday," he said trying to lighten the mood a little.

[Roman Jetter]

"Oh right!" Roman blinked a few times, "I completely forgot that Christmas is right around the corner! Are you doing anything with your family?" She asked in a regular voice she used when speaking to people she knew. It was kind of hard to forget how to be shy with someone who actually tried to get you to talk.

[Gryffin Edwin]

Gryffin noticed the change of voice and expression. He smiled, he knew he had made her feel more comfortable. "I don't know yet actually I should ask Freddie if he has gotten a letter about it yet," he said making a mental note to do so later.

[Roman Jetter]

"I guess you won't find out until, tomorrow then, huh?" Roman said, not having seen Freddie around Gryffin in the space of their coversation. She noticed that conversation had just ended, and tried to come up with another one. "So what's your favorite color?" She blurted the first thing that came to her mind. She started to blush, having sounded a little ridiculous.

Gryffin grinned "it is green actually but shh," he said. "I know it should be red or gold or something at least close to a Gryffindor color but that is okay. I think I was in love with a Slytherin in a past life," he said laughing a little. "I kidding but I do have an odd obsession with the color green, and youself?"

[Roman Jetter]

Automatically, the girl's head ducked lower when Gryffin pretended it was a secret. Roman's eyes widened as he told her about his Slytherin love in a past life. She started to laugh just as he did, and smiled. "I love blue. We must be secret traitors." She giggled softly. "That wouldn't go over well with many people."

[Gryffin Edwin]

"Blue huh," he said and he shook his head. Gryffin grinned when she said they were secret traitors. "I think your right," he said with a fake worried expression on his face. "Try the bright side though, I don't think they would hate you as much as they would hate me , Ravenclaw is much better than Slytherin," he said with an over exaggerated nod. "I mean I think people are people houses have nothing to do with ho a person is, but Slytherins tend to hate us and we tend to hate them. It's all really silly if you ask me," he said.

[Roman Jetter]

"Oh, you're right," Roma pretended to be absorbed. "And I'd completely turn you in to save myself." SHe nodded vigourously before breaking into a huge smile. She wasn't good at lying anymore. "But you're right, I guess it doesn't make any sense to hate each other. But where would the world be without competition? I don't think it would get very far, and people would strive to do well."

Gryffin pretended to glare at her when she said she would turn him in to save herself. He smiled at her. "I know competition is one thing, but hate is another," he said with raising one eyebrow. "I don't think that there is any reason to hate just because of a school label," he said shaking his head.

[Roman Jetter]

Roman shrunk back a little at the glare, "I was kidding." She hoped he wouldn't blame her for it. Roman was still not advanced in the art of socializing, so she was doing well. "I guess you're right," Roman said, thinking hard about the subject. "But competition isn't as easy as it seems. I guess it's inspired from jealousy. I don't see what they have that we don't, and vice versa."

[Gryffin Edwin]

Gryffin laughed a little "I know you kidding," he said shaking his head. "Exactly my point I don't know why people feel the need to hate one another," he said with a shrug. Gryffin looked her in the eyes and tilted his head to the side. He got a kind of puzzled expression on his face.

[Roman Jetter]

Roman looked back up at him, relieved to know he wasn't mad at her. She tilted her head slightly to the side, a habit that occured when she was thinking deeply. Roman listened, and noted his puzzled look, and thought it was due to the jealousy comment.

"Well, you see, say he Slytherin beat Hufflepuff in quidditch, and we lost. We would be mad at Slytherin for winning, because they did what we couldn't. Jealousy? Correct? And we'd play sabotage, and try and get even. Then they'd try and get even. It's an on going cycle." Roman wasn't entirely sure she was making sense.

[Gryffin Edwin]

Gryffin nodded "I understand I just think its stupid," he said with a smile. "I don't think any one person is better than any other," he said nodding.

[Roman Jetter]

Roman nodded softly before mumbling, "it is. In general, people aren't better then one another, but their skill levels can be."

Roman thought of poor little first years who couldn't do that many spells to save them if they were approached by an adult, and the death eaters who killed small tiny little babies who hadn't done anything to them. Their skill levels were obviously better, but that didn't mean the babies were worth killing. She blew a piece of her out of her eyes.

Gryffin nodded "good point," he said. "Skill level is important," he said with a mater of fact tone. Gryffin looked around there was no one else in the common room it had all been cleared out by now. Huh, must be getting late he thought with a shrug.

"So whats your favorite class," he asked.

[Roman Jetter]

Roman saw his eyes flicker up, and she followed, seeing there weren't as many people in the common room as before. She ducked her head again, and she thought that Gryffin probably would want to go back up to his dorms soon.

"I really like ancient runes," she said quietly. "I like stories. What about you?"

[Gryffin Edwin]

Gryffin thought abut that for a few minutes. "Hmmm," he rubbed his chin and made a thinking face. "I would have to say that Care of Magical Creatures would be my favorite class," he said with a nod. "I love animals," is that weird he asked with a questioning look on his face.

[Roman Jetter]

"Care of Magical Creatiures," Roman said softly. "I haven't taken it yet. Animals scare me, but I'm sure it's not unnatural if you don't like them. I like them, but would never go within twenty feet of them. Is that weird?" she asked slowly.

This had been the longest conversation she had had in a while, and it was starting to make her very uncomfortable. She tried very hard not to show it, by sitting very still and not fidgeting.

Gryffin laughed a little. "I'm sure we are both quite normal," he said with a grin.

Gryffin having a little brother was easily able to see a fidget coming on. He also use to study into body language. He saw her sit up very tall and still. 'Interesting' he thought. 'She didn't lean in or out so there is something that would have been helpful,' he thought with a sigh. He couldn't figure out what it was be he could tell something was making her feel uncomfortable. 'I must have been laughing during the micro expression, oh well' he thought. 'Might as well ask.'

"You okay," he asked showing concern on his face.
