She flinched from his immediate answer and her hand slackened to pull back, but he had softened and she relaxed unconcerned about their fingers for a moment as they were still connected.
When he asked why she couldn't really find an answer though she was trying to think of one, finally she settled on the truth, " Because I feel really awful for the way I've treated you, and I don't want...I don't want you to stop...liking me." she admitted but then took away her hand.
Samantha wasn't afraid of anything, but she had never allowed herself to be vulnerable before, he opened up a spot in her that she was growing attached to. It wasn't just that he kissed her and made her head spin, or that he did things that made her feel funny, but she was learning to be herself around him. Why him she had no clue. If it had been anyone but him she never would have just admitted what she just had.
All she knew was she was trying desperately to figure out who she was..and the only time she seemed able to do that was when he was around.
Now the fearless girl, was a bit...vulnerable.

Ryan didn't say anything for a minute. He was studying her, and her answer. The look in her eyes said that she wasn't messing with him... her response had been sincere.
He sighed. Or, she was a damned good actress, like he had been warned of.
"I'm not going to stop liking you," he said at length. "I'm just... really frustrated with you right now. And it's hard to believe that you're not getting a kick out of it."

"Maybe a small one." she said honestly because she thought that she ought to have been honest with him now, quickly however she continued, " But...only just now...and not after I realized you were frustrated...really frustrated." she bit the inside of her lip, " I didn't even think you noticed me that much." She certainly didn't think that he'd be hurt by her avoiding him, but that was exactly how he was acting and she felt quite bad about it.
She smiled then however, and with a bit of the mischievous princess he had seen in her before her lips curved softly, " So...you haven't stopped liking me...that means that you like me...doesn't it?" she asked coyly stepping closer to him. This was a milestone moment for her. Sam had never carried true affection for a male outside of her family, but Ryan brought things out in her she never knew she had inside of her. Most of the time she didn't know whether she should run away or run to him.

Ryan rolled his eyes when she pointed out that he must still like her.
"You are a real piece of work, sweetheart," He said, a little sarcastically, but it was not mean by nature. "Are you going to go to bed, or are you intent on following me to the Room of Requirement tonight?" Merlin knew he couldn't shake her if she wanted to come. Hell, he wasn't sure if he even wanted to.

She tilted her head in what might have been an adorable way furthering the image of innocence as her lashes fluttered to her cheeks, "If I'm invited." she told him, she didn't want to impose, well hell yes she did, but she wanted to make sure he wanted her there as well.
She wondered what he meant by calling her a piece of work, but she didn't think too long on it.

"No, you're not invited," Ryan tol her a little harshly, but there was a laugh to his voice. "But I have a feeling that you're not going to let me get away that easily, and I'm done arguing, so it's up to you."

Samantha frowned when he said she wasn't invited and there was probably a huff added to her stance of petulance, her face turning into a pout as her hands went to her hips.
Finally her eyes narrowed and a look of determination crossed into her features. "You're impossible." Impossible to charm, she thought. He wasn't bending over backwards because of her innocent smile or twinkling eyes, and heaven help her she liked him more for it, but was he not going to forgive her? Or had he already forgiven her and she just not aware of it? She didn't like not knowing exactly where she stood, he kept her off balance, but she couldn't show him that instead she gestured that he move forward, "Go on then."

Ryan laughed. "Yeah, just as impossible as you, sweetheart."
He raised an eyebrow as if to challange her, however. He just wanted to see if she would argue and tell him she wasn't impossible at all. It would be like her, but for once, he wanted her to have just a slight taste of how she treated other people.

"I'm not impossible." she said regally sticking her chin up as she followed him, her tone however was that she didn't want to discuss this further. Her actions made sense in her own head but not to him and she didn't think she was capable of convincing him of anything so what was the point? Now she just wanted to see whatever the room of Requirement was so she could get that out of her system and leave him. Or was it him that she wanted...needed to get out of her system? What would she have to do in order for that to happen?

"You're a royal pain in the arse," Ryan argued. Not impossible? Why was he even taking her to the room of Requirement? He was only giving in and encouraging her spoiled behavior. He should have stuck to his guns and said no.
"Sure you're not."
He turned a corridor, and the blank wall was in front of him. He could go back into where he was, but that wouldn't impress her. "Name a room," he told her.

A wall? He took her to a wall? The look was on her face but she did a good job of not saying what might have been written on her face. She looked at him a little skeptically unsure of what she was supposed to do, " A room?"
She wasn't too clear on what he was asking for her to do so she looked at the wall and thought of a room, it happened to be her own room and if he thought her spoiled before one glance at her bedroom would certainly confirm his beliefs.
The sheer size of the room was impressive with ceilings at least twenty feet above the floor, intricately designed moldings and a wall of windows that looked out to the gardens of the estate. Gold brocade curtains currently blocked said view in certain areas and kept others from seeing inward. The rest of the walls were painted a cream beige with highlights of white and gold in intricate designs around the room. There was a chase lounge and coffee table a few feet from the bed, which was magnificent in it's own right so large that Samantha looked like a doll whenever she did sleep in it. Another corner housed a vanity that complimented the rest of the room with well loved brushes and trinkets lying atop it. Another side held drawers with several decorative items laying on top of it. But Samantha's favorite object had to be the large cherry wood desk whose only equal resided at the Montgomery estates in her father's office. A high back leather chair seated behind the ornate desk and although it was masculine it fit rather well in the room. There were other bits of furniture in the room that hinted at opulence and grandeur but everything was in the best taste and complimented everything else in the room.
When Samantha opened the door and walked in she went white. She didn't think Dorian would notice since not many noticed anything but the room itself at first glance, but Samantha quickly made her way to the bar inside of the room to fix herself a drink, it was something very contrary to the princess he had known, but this room for all she loved it, brought back memories she'd rather forget.
