"A pleasure Mr. Parsons." she said dipping into a curtsy, still she wasn't sure of his consequence, in spite of social snobbery however she found it best to be cordial to most, you never knew when the tables wuold turn and you would be in someone else's debt.
"That sounds lovely Fee." she said passing them by and asking for anything the house elves could make that was simple, she had a good relationship with the house elves as well and they told ehr something would be coming soon.
"If it's not too much trouble a spot of that hot chocolate would be lovely. Thank you.'

"The pleasure is all mine Ms. Burke," he said with a bow of his head. As Kassia walked by, he looked back to Ophelia. Merlin, if he wouldn't get caught, or it wouldn't seem like he was stalking her, he could probably stare at her all day, but then again so could any guy.
Tyler looked from Ophelia to her sister. "Might I suggest that you get the marshmellows added in your hot chocolate?" He gave a half smile before bringing up his mug.

"You might suggest it indeed, and I might have attempted it...were it not for the hour and the sugary content, the chocolate is bad enough but I do intend to get to bed at some point tonight...if I'm wise I will forgo as much sugar as I can." she smiled back at him, "But thank you kindly...I should be getting back to bed." She nodded at Fee and gave her a look as if to say she should be doing the same.

Ophelia almost rolled her eyes at her sister. It wasn't the talk on sugar, of course, that bothered her. She agreed with it. But the not-so-subtle hint that she should finish up and go to bed annoyed her. It almost seemed to Fee that her younger sister was always trying to be the older sister, being protective and bossy. Fee was the older sister and she didn't like being mothered by her little sister. Kass was always doing that, mothering everyone. Ophelia found it annoying.
"Actually, I have some homework to finish when I get back to the common room," she said. "I think it may take a while, and I might be up late tonight. So I needed the food to give me enough energy to make it through. In fact, that hot chocolate--with marshmallows--is sounding pretty good right about now."

Kassia nodded patient with her sister, she had the patience of a saint, and you had to have that patience when you were dealing with Ophelia, " Alright...I'll see you later Fee." she said on a nod. then turned to sit and wait for the food that would accompany her drink.

"Well, that's reasonable Kassia," he said. He gave a small bow with his head in Kassia's direction.
As Ophelia requested hot chocolate with marshmellows, Tyler gave her a smile. He could tell there was something going on between the sisters, but that was none of his business. Ophelia seemed to be trying to be different from her siste, however he continued not to say anything. He just simply observed the two as he sipped on his remaining hot chocolate.
"It has been nice speaking with you Ms. Burke," he said to Kassia as she was waiting on her food. Tyler looked back to Ophelia. "Hot chocolate with marshmellows is always nice when there is late night homework of course there is chocolate chip cookies too, but excellent choice Ace."

Ophelia gave him an annoyed look. "Honestly, will you stop calling me that? Otherwise, I'll be forced to come up with some annoying nickname for you." Of course, she had no idea what that would be. She wasn't particularly creative when it came to such things. "Like... Marshmallow. I bet you wouldn't like that very much, would you?"

"I like calling you Ace, Ace," said Tyler. He didn't care if he did annoy her. It was a nickname he thought of for her, and it was going to stick. As she said that he would come up with an annoying nickname for him, Tyler had an amused look on his face. "Oh really? What kind of annoying nickname?"
He chuckled but then he gave a cough as he hid the chuckle. "Marshmallow? Are you calling me fat Ace?" Tyler gave her a fake shocked looked. "I never!" A smile appeared on his face. "I would say the nickname Marshmallow would become annoying, but call me what you will, you will still be Ace."

Ophelia giggled in spite of herself. "Well, of course you're not fat. But you will be, if you keep eating cookies and drinking hot chocolate at night." She frowned at the repeated use of the nickname. She still thought he was being awfully impertinent, talking to her in such a way. She was a Burke, for Salazar's sake!
"So what do you do when you're not eating and drinking sugary foods and coming up with silly nicknames for people?" she asked. "I don't think I've seen you in any of my classes." Of course, she wouldn't have. She only noticed her fellow Slytherins, except in the case of the Scotts family, her cousins that were spread throughout each house.

"You're actually the first person I've given a nickname," said Tyler. "But I usually get my work done and just go around and see if I meet someone new." He gave a little shrug. "I'm more than likely there. I haven't really paid attention to see if you were there. No offense. I don't really notice that many people, unless they're in my house or if I already know them. Maybe the next time I enter a class that we share, I'll say hello."

Ophelia didn't say anything for a while, she just concentrated on eating her sandwich. At one point, the house elf brought her the requested cup of hot chocolate, and she took a tentative sip. It was so good... but she was going to have to exercise tomorrow to make up for it. And Ophelia hated exercise. She mostly just hated getting all sweaty. Usually, she tried to stick to exercise that was fun, like going for a walk or dancing. She'd have to come up with something.
Looking up at Tyler, she saw that he was looking at her. It annoyed her. "You know, it's rude to stare at people. Especially when they're eating."

"Well, I suppose it's a good thing I'm not staring then, isn't it," Tyler countered with a smile. "I'm simply observing. There is a difference. Staring is like something a stalker would do, while observing is a more meaningful way of watching." He gave her a nod and finished off his hot chocolate before a house elf brought him another cookie. Again, Tyler gracefully accepted it and looked back to Ophelia. "You know Ace," he said noticing she was still looking at him. "It's rude to stare at people while they eat." Tyler gave her a wink and took a bite out of his cookie.
Ophelia was entertaining. She was graceful, not to mention beautiful, and there was something else about her. Tyler couldn't think of what it was. Sure, he may annoy her, but that was fun. Teasing her, in a good way, was all the better.

Kassia was good at making herself invisible at least she appeared not to be listening or watching but she was watching very closely, finally her food was finished and she claimed it.
The interaction wasn't surprising to Kassia but perhaps a bit worrisome. Tyler wasn't in Slytherin and they knew nothing about his family...Fee was enjoying the teasing and this Tyler person was very charming... Kassia could sense the trouble that awaited but she was probably over analyzing.

Ophelia looked away quickly. Had she been staring? She certainly hadn't meant to stare at him. OK, so he was kind of cute. In that Gryffindor kind of way. Slytherin boys were hotter, she thought, even if they were all dangerous and her brother had warned her to stay away from them.
"I was not staring," she said in a lofty tone. "I wasn't even looking at you. Why would I?"

"Oh, so looking at me, is not staring," he questioned amusingly. "And I don't know why you would want to stare at me. Unless of course you're thinking of some way to actually make me fat and turn me into a marshmellow." Tyler gave her a grin and took a bite out of his cookie. It didn't matter how much he ate, he never gained a pound.
"Or maybe, you're daydreaming about something I don't really want to know about. Those are the only things I could think of, so you tell me Ace. Why would you want to stare at me?"

Ophelia rolled her eyes and turned to look at him with a smug expression. "You know, you look normal. Who would have ever guessed that you would be completely and utterly delusional? Imagine... me daydreaming about you! If I was daydreaming about you at all, it was about when you would leave, so I could sit here and enjoy a snack in peace!"
The odd thing was that she didn't really want him to leave. She was sort of enjoying their verbal battle, and the way in made her breath catch in her throat. But she certainly couldn't have him thinking that she would be fantasizing about him. She was a Burke, and Burkes simply didn't fantasize about Gryffindors.

That was exactly what Kassia thought too...before reminding herself that this was "Ophelia Burke" and Ophelia liked to daydream about boys in general. She cleared her throat a bit to remind them she was still there and still watching. *Both* of them.

"I'm the delusional one? I promise you, I am not delusional at all. It doesn't matter how much you wish I was. I am perfectly normal. Maybe you are the delusional one. Who knows?" Tyler had to admit. He was enjoying himself far more than he ever expected.
"And you daydream about me leaving?" This sort of hurt, but Tyler showed no emotion of it. "If you really want me too, just ask, for I have to respect the lady's wishes." He gave a slight bow of his head. Honestly, he didn't want to leave, but if Ophelia asked, he would respect what she asked.

Ophelia took a sip of her hot chocolate, enjoying its comforting warmth. Then she looked back at him and shrugged. "Well, it's not my kitchen, so it's certainly not my place to ask you to leave," she said. "And I doubt the house elves are going to do it. So I suppose you may as well stay."
Kassia, however, with her not-so-subtle sighs and throat-clearing actions, was perfectly welcome to leave. She loved her sister, but honestly, there was such a thing as too much family bonding. But of course, she would never say such a thing to Kass. Mainly because she knew her sister well enough to know that if she did, Fee would eventually hear about it from their parents. Overprotectiveness in a younger sister was simply intolerable.
"Besides, I'm probably not going to stay much longer anyway," she added, even as one of the elves stepped forward and gave her a cookie. "Once these elves stop trying to fatten me up, that is! Ugh, I'm going to have to do twice the exercise tomorrow to work all these calories off!"

Tyler couldn't help but laugh at Ophelia's antics. "Honestly Ace, you're not fat at all. I don't understand why a girl is extremely worried about what she looks like. I mean, it's not healthy to starve yourself, or eat and then try to work it off fast. I personally think it's nice to see a girl eat however much she wants rather than see her try to eat as little as possible in order to make herself look 'cool' in public."
He gave a shrug. "I think that you are just fine the way you are, but then again, what is one person's opinion, right?"
