Beth was in the kitchen making lasagna for her family. The boys hadn't arrived from school yet, but she was expecting them any moment. She'd sent them an owl a week earlier to tell them to come home for the weekend, her reply was that they'd be bringing two girls with them. Beth beamed at this news. She assumed one was Eve and the other she'd heard enough about without meeting that she thought it was about time if the other was Genevieve.
She giggled as her husband snuck up behind her, "careful not to burn yourself, the pan is hot, honey. The boys should be here any moment, is the rest of the house at least reasonably clean?" Clean meaning things at least in their place... she liked a lived in home feel, and her house was tidy but never spotless, and slightly cluttered with things. But it was a warm and happy home and filled with love... and the smells of food that Beth had been cooking for dinner.. and an apple pie for dessert.

He was happy to recieve an owl from his mother about dinner and of course he and Lance both had to bring the girls along. Eve was practically part of the family anyway, plus it would give him a good excuse to hold her hand and to be around her, not that he really needed a good reason for the last thing.
Josh made sure that he was presentable enough for his parents. He made sure that his hair was standing up in the right places before walking down to wait on Eve. He was excited about seeing what Eve looked like for the evening.

Eve was more than excited to be going to the Jordan's for dinner. She wondered what Mrs. Jordan would cook and she knew it was already going to be famous. She wanted to look her best, she always did, but the surprising thing was the Jordan household was the one place in the world that she felt like home in.
Putting another side clip in her hair so it kept it out of her face she decidded to leave the mass down.
She also obviously wasn't wearing her robe. Instead she was sporting a black sweater and jeans, then an overcoat to keep her warm for the journey. She was wearing a bit of make up that she had fiddled around with but really the radiance of pure happiness was what lit up her face as she made her way down to wait for the others.
To her delight Josh was already there. She beamed at him proudly and was anxious to get going...but of course she was patient enough to wait for the others.

Josh couldn't help himself, he started grinning at the sight of Eve. She looked wonderful as usual. He did notice that her clothes started getting smaller, and that fit her better than her other clothing. Of course, he didn't mind what she wore.
"You look amazing," he said standing up as she entered the common room. He took a step towards her. "Now we just have to wait for Lance. There's no telling how long he's going to get ready." Josh let out a laugh. "You excited about going to see mum?"

Thomas smiled as his wife detected his not so sneaky ways once more. Kissing her gently on the back of the neck he rested his head on her shoulder. "Ya know...the pots not the only thing that's hot in here.." Sighing when Beth asked him if the house was clean he lightly brushed his lips against her cheek. "Yes, all pretty just the way you like it." Standing up he paced around the kitchen enjoying all the smells of the delicious food his wife was cooking. "If you need me Beth, i'll be in the living room waiting for the boys." Walking off into the living room, he sat down in his favorite recliner and waited for the house to be full of people once more.

Stepping forward she brushed his shirt with her fingertips and then light touched his chin with her knuckles, sort of "smoothing" him over for the trip home, "You don't look half bad yourself." she said beaming she thought he looked beautiful period most of the time anyway.
"If you're brother's smart, and we both know that he is, he won't keep your mother waiting long, besides, yes I'm terribly terribly happy to be going home." and she did consider it home, " I can't wait to see your Mum and Dad, it's been so long."

Chill bumps raised on his skin at her light touch. Her touch always did that to him. He gave a small involuntary shudder. He watched her as she 'smoothed' him over.
Another laugh came from Josh. "Thank you Ms. Mallory." He took her hand and took a step backwards to sit on the couch. "I'm sure that Lance won't be too much longer. And, I know for a fact that mum and dad will be excited about seeing you again."

Beth took a break from the kitchen to bring Thomas some coffee. As she leaned down to set the cup on the end table she gave him a soft kiss. "I'm sure they'll be here soon, honey. Did you need anything before I go finish dinner?" The food was finishing in the oven and she would be done soon, but she had a few moments while she waited for the timer to ding.

Lance came down to meet his brother and Eve who was already there. He looked around to see if Viv was there yet but as always she was the last to show. He chuckled softly wondering what had distracted her this time. He was happy to get the chance to visit his parents though, he missed them and even if it was only for a weekend he was going to enjoy it. He even wore the scarf his mother had made them last Yule. "Hey guys."

Josh looked from Eve to his brother. "Hey Lance," he said with a grin. "Glad to see that you didn't take too long in front of the mirror this morning." Of course, Josh was just teasing. He was excited about going home. Instead of wearing the scarf that his mother had made for him, he wore the scarf that Eve made for him. However, he did wear the jacket his mother bought him for Christmas last year. "I wonder what mum's cooking for dinner."

Genevieve took a long time getting ready. She was incredibly nervous at the idea of meeting Lance and Josh's parents and wanted to make sure that she made a good impression. Although Genevieve very rarely suffered from confidence issues, today she was a nervous wreck. It was immensely important to her that Mr. and Mrs. Jordan liked her, because she secretly hoped to marry Lance one day. Well, maybe it wasn't such a secret anymore, she thought with a smile.
Thinking of Lance brought a pretty pink tint to her porcelain cheeks. He'd been so sweet lately, ever since asking her to the dance. Though the words were still unspoken, she felt them in her heart. Lance loved her, like she had always loved him.
But meeting his parents... that was an entirely different thing. What if they didn't like her? What if they thought she was dumb? Or just not good enough for Lance?
She dressed in a plaid skirt and black turtleneck, with black tights and shiny black mary janes. It made her look smart, or so she hoped. Her hair she wore with just the front part puuled off her face, and the rest hanging straight down her back. Then she meticulously applied her makeup, taking care to put on just enough to highlight her already stunning features, but not so much as to look like she was caked in makeup.
After she was finally satisfied with her appearance, Genevieve headed downstairs to meet with Eve and the boys. "Hey, guys," she greeted them. "How do I look?"

Lance's face lit up the moment Genevieve appeared. She looked beautiful and perfect, and he couldn't wait to introduce her to his mother. He'd talked about her often enough, that they probably already knew her by proxy. But he hoped that they all liked each other, he was sure his parents would though. "You look perfectly beautiful, Viv. Our parents are going to love you almost as much as I do."

Eve took Josh's hand and sat down on the couch her eyes were glued to their joined hands until Lance came in and she smiled at him. The fact that Josh was wearing her scarf wasn't lost on her and she was happy about it, although she didn't begrudge Lance in anyway for not wearing her scarf there were other occasions when he did, instead she beamed, since she was beaming today, up at him ,"Hey" she returned. Soon enough Viv had come down the stairs looking...breathtakingly beautiful as always and Eve struggled as she squeezed Josh's hand unconsiously, she wondered if the Jordan's would like Viv more than they did Eve...the thought clogged her throat temporarily before she cleared it to announce, "You look wonderful Viv."

Tom smiled as his wife brought him a cup of coffee. Deciding the coffee was fine where it was at the moment he stood up and wrapped his arms around Beth's waist, bringing her closer. "Beth, your all i've ever needed since the day we met." Leaning forward his lips placed a light kiss on her forehead, before he looked back into her eyes, smiling brightly. "Now go finish dinner, you know my boys. Between Quidditch and those girls i'm sure they could eat us out of house and home."

Thomas always knew how to make her smile and feel loved, and how to make her happy. She chuckled at his comment about the boys though. "Yes I'm sure they'll try. Luckily I made a double batch just in case. After all I wouldn't want you to go hungry either." She winked knowing the boys got it honestly from their father and then she turned to head back to finish her cooking before the boys arrived.

He squeezed Eve's hand as she squeezed his. Josh looked to her and smiled, before he greeted Genevieve. "You do look nice Genevieve," he said. Although Genevieve was pretty and everything, it was really Eve that had his eye. He thought that Eve was really prettier than Genevieve, but he wasn't going to voice who was prettier out of the two.
Josh stood up, bringing Eve with him. "I think that we shouldn't keep mum and dad waiting any longer. Shall we head home?"

"Ready as always, and so is my stomach." He couldn't wait to see what mum had made, she was the best cook he knew. He looked at Genevieve and took her hand before joining his brother and Eve out of the room.
Not long after, they all stood in Godric's Hollow and Lance opened the door. He didn't bother to knock though and holding Genevieve's hand lead her into the house, his smile huge as he smelled the food cooking. "Dad, Mum.. we're home!"

As soon as Lance opened up the door to the house, Josh's stomach let out a growl. "Apparently my stomach knows we're home," he said with a laugh. He led Eve into the house before shedding his jacket and scarf, putting it on the coat rack near the door. Josh kindly took Eve's jacket and placed it on the rack as well.
He took Eve's hand again and led her towards the living room following Lance and Genevieve. Josh gave Eve a smile. "Dad," he said happily when he saw him in his recliner.

Taking a sip of the coffee his wife had brought him, he turned his head at the sound of a familiar voice. Seeing Josh and Eve along with Lance and the girl he figured must be Genevieve, he broke into a big smile as he stood, placing his coffee cup on the table by his chair. "Josh, Lance! Oh its good to see you boys." Quickly closing the distance between himself and his twin sons, he scooped them both into a big hug. Turning to Eve he feigned a royal bow, before hugging her as well. "Eve darling, it's good to see you again, I hope you've been keeping Josh in line.." Placing a small kiss on the top of her head, he turned once more to face the newest girl to the Jordan pack,
Taking Viv's hand he gently kissed her fingers before shining his best smile. "You must be Genevieve, welcome to our house and I want ya to know that your welcome here anytime. Just ask Eve we let anyone in.." Laughing he looked around at the group before dropping his smile. "You guys should go say hi to You-Know-Who, before she comes out here and tears up all of our hides."

(Lol you guys were busy)
Eve was following along really well but she was bursting to the top with energy and waiting to expand it all on the Jordans when she got there. When she did arrive she felt right at home. She let Josh guide her and take her jacket and her stomach growled as well, " I love this house." she said fondly. She was happy Josh was with her though and that he had squeezed her hand earlier, now was a moment that she had never before considered. Viv was going to become one of the family too...and she loved Viv so that idea made her happy, it also made her terribly self conscious.
When she saw Mr. Jordan she was all but ready to hug him when he dipped into a bow she laughed once and tilted her chin up with faux-superiority and she nodded to his question about Josh, "Of course." but it was wiped clean as he put his arms around her she squeezed back and leaned into the fatherly kiss, " It's been so long." she emphasized then turned to Viv, "Oh yes they're the most wonderful people you'll ever meet honest." she enthused.
Then when he mentioned going to find "you know who" Eve's eyes lit up as she wormed her way around people and finally spotted her in the kitchen of course.
Her own mother had taught her how to cook when she was little but she imagined the two older woman had shared many recipes after her mother died she learned everything from that point on from Mrs. Jordan.
"Can I help?" she asked in a small voice, yes she was offering her services to help but it was more of a "hello" from Eve.
