Kat smiled and took Tim's hand when he asked her to dance. "You may," she said, still smiling as the two began to dance. "There's no music Timmy," Kat said softly.

Tim smiled as Kat said there was no music, he must of seemed crazy but he didn't care. Since the night he had asked her to the dance, he didn't care if he acted foolish or if he stuttered, he realized Kat liked him regardless of what he did. "I don't need music, just a beautiful partner..." As the words left his lips, he twirled Kat around and brought her close to him once more. His lips lightly brushed against hers as he stopped dancing.
"Yep it's offical, your definitely going to be the best looking girl at the ball."

Kat blushed at the complement and smiled, kissing Tim lightly. "Hardly," she said. "But I'll have the most handsome of all the dates there," Kat smiled. She didn't even notice that they had stopped dancing. The two were just standing in the middle of the emoty common room, looking at each other with grins on their faces and blush in their cheeks.

Tim stood there, staring into Kat's eyes, realizing for probably the first time in his whole life a new form of love. He cared more about Katarina then he did about everyone else, except his family. She made Timmy happy regardless of what might be happening at the time. Even when he had fought with his dad at the dinner, he came back here and Kat made everything disappear. When he was with her, there was only her, time seemed to stop and everyone else seemed a lot less important.
Smiling he kissed her lightly on the nose. "So tell me gorgeous, if you could have anything you ever wanted what would it be?"

Tim and Kat just stood there. She looked in his eyes and saw the deepness of caring he felt for her. Being with Timmy made Kat so happy, no matter what the situation. He made her laugh, he made her smile. Kat used to be so sheltered and independent before meeting Tim and really getting to know him. She found herself finally able to open up to another human being without fearing being shot down.
"Anything?" Kat asked. She had contemplated this thought once or twice over her life. Kat rested her head on Tim's chest, hearing the faint thump-thump of his heartbeat. "I always wanted to meet my parents," she said ever so quietly, in a barely audiable whisper. It was her closest secret.

As Kat pressed her head against his chest, he slowly began combing his hand through her hair. She had just shared something with him that was quite personal and Tim was touched that she was comfortable enough around him to really open up. Reaching down he gently scooped Kat up into his arms and led her over to the couch, sitting down he laid her down, with her head resting in his lap. "It must be really painful for you kitty Kat." Leaning down his lips lightly brushed against her forehead. "I promise i'll do everything in my power to at least help you find out what happened to them.."

"Thank you Tim," Kat said softly as he made his promise. She reached to his hand, taking it in hers, and closing her eyes as he kissed her forehead. "You have no idea how much I appreciate everything you do for me," she smiled.
Her thumb traced small patterns in his hand. "So what about you Timmy," Kat asked. "If you could have anything you wanted..."

Tim's cheeks turned a nice shade of red as Kat complimented him, he still hadn't gotten the blushing under control but I guess some things just don't change. Leaning in close he kissed her light on the cheek, as he stared deeply into her eyes. "I have everything I ever wanted..." When he truly thought about it was true, he had a family that loved him, a girlfriend who really cared about him and he had friends, good friends. He had a lot more than a lot of people had and he appreciated every bit of it.

Kat and Tim were looking deep into each other's eyes and Kat was surprised that she wasn't blushing. They were doing that "not-look-away" thing where two people stare into the eyes of one another without shying away. She smiled, sitting up and kissing Tim on the lips. When she pulled away, all Kat could do was continue gazing at Tim, a smile playing on her face.
