"I know exactly the way you could help," she continued, still in that slightly challenging voice as if she expected him to back out. She hated making judgements, but she was sure he would just throw money at her. She wanted to see if he would show up.

Devin sensed a trap comming, but at the same time he still took the step towards it. The girl was quite pretty and whatever she had in mind might be worth it if she ended up in his bed. He wondered if she'd be unsure and inexperienced and shy or if she'd be the type who didn't shy away and was bold in bed once she decided she was willing. "I'm at your service, my dear."

"I'll hold you to that," Tess said softly. When the day came, she sincerely hoped that he kept his word. She was always pleased when her faith in humanity was proven.
"So, other than helping me, what are your plans for the holidays?" She asked, running her fingers through her hair.

Devin inwardly groaned at the thought of actually having to follow through with helping her. Maybe if he got her into his bed before then... then he wouldn't have to hold to the bargain. He decided to try his hand with taking a step forward and see how she'd react. "Kissing you under the mistletoe."

She frowned, and closed off immidiately. In fact, she had picked her book up, and was getting to her feet quickly. "Well, it's about time for me to get back to my dorm," she said, not having the heart to tell him that he should come up with better plans for the holidays.
She didn't want his advances. He barely knew her... she was flattered, but why would he talk to her like that?

Devin realized probably a little too late that maybe he had been a little to forward for this young, innocent. Standing up he adopted his best sad puppy dog face, "Wait, i'm sorry I was a bit too forward with the last comment. I was just kidding honestl." His brain began to start pumping out alternative plans and tricks to keep this lovely Hufflepuff from leaving and extending this bet he was intent on winning. "Please, come sit back down and I promise, no more overly forward comments."

"Telling me you were kidding hardly helps," Tess told him, raising an eyebrow. He really was losing several points very quickly, and she gave him a wary glance. "Devin, I have to be honest, if your sole intent is to flirt or... or... I'm sorry, I'm just not that kind of girl. I would rather just have your company, all right?"
She would sit down again, depending on his answer to that.

Devin closed his eyes and nodded slowly in response to Contessa, he had become a little overeager and he realized that. The last thing he was trying to do was scare off this lovely little dove. Standing up, he motioned for Tessa to rejoin him. "Your right, I apologize for insinuating that you were any sort of that kind of girl, I am enjoying our conversation as well. Please, continue talking with me and I promise no more flirting, wizards' honor."
