For once, I'm actually going somewhere! I'm going to the Pennsylvania Rennaisance Faire this weekend. We may also do some outlet shopping, and will probably return with a case of wine.  I'll be leaving sometime on Saturday, will be gone all day and night on Sunday and will return on Monday. |

Just for fun. Because we never do anything. The Renaissance Faire runs from July-October every year, and it's always better to go in the fall, when it's not as hot. Each weekend has a theme--this weekend will be Wine Harvest. Hahaha... It's also the last weekend that's not Halloween themed. I wanted to go before the Halloween themed weekends. Those will likely be crowded and goofy. LOL. |

yeah I used to love going to the renaissance fairs, though the ones where I live now aren't that spectacular. I used to teach bellydance back a few years ago and used to dance at the fairs. aaahh... the memories. Sounds like you'll have fun though.

I think ours is pretty good, although I've never been to one anywhere else to compare. But the area it's in is really pretty (it's in the middle of Amish country, on a wine vineyard). We may go do some Amish stuff while we're there (you know, buy butter and a quilt... lol) and go outlet shopping.
Anyway, since I'm lame and don't have a laptop or phone with an internet connection, I'm going to have to keep myself busy so I don't go into withdrawal.

I'll probably be OK until bedtime. I don't sleep well in hotels (never have), so that's when I'll be wishing for a computer to help me wind down.

Oooh, I loved the PA Ren. Fair when I went... my family used to go to one on the Nevada/California border every year. I miss doing that.
Anyway, have fun! We won't have too much fun without you.

I don't know if I'll do it or not. I haven't discussed it with my sister. I don't know what there is to do there, except walk around. Also, I'd need to have adequate driving instructions. I can be really weird about driving if I don't know exactly how to get there. I'm absolutely petrified of getting lost. I've done the Ren Faire trip before (I'm even staying in the same hotel), so at least I know what I'm doing there. The rest of it is where I get a little nervous.
