"There were letters," Fabian asked with interest. "I never ever got a love letter. I think someone is pretty much smitten with our sister, wouldn't you agree? I think it's sort of sweet. At least he hasn't asked her to run away with him and marry him. I don't think Arthur would do such a thing however." A grin spread across his face. "As long as they don't start kissing in front of us too much, it'll be alright. And as long as his letters don't get too intense, it'll be alright."

Molly sighed, her cheeks flushing. “Both of you, really. I’m going to make you actually pay for dinner if you don’t stop it.”
She waved her hand. “There are no love letters. He was sending an owl to discuss a time to get coffee, all right? And for Merlin’s sake! I’m not getting pregnant!” That was the part that really made her cheeks flush. “Next time, I refuse to date anyone inside the Ministry.”

"We can't help it Molls. You're our sister, and it's what we do," Fabian said with a shrug. "It's just a brotherly thing. We have to pick on you. It's like a rule."
He raised an eyebrow. "Oh, so it was a love letter, asking you out for coffee. That's nice. Going out for coffee is always nice. It makes you all nice and warm, plus it gives you time to stare at each other." Fabian hid his laugh. "Oh! So you don't deny that you two are dating! Did you hear that Gideon? She didn't deny it! You and Arthur will make an adorable match I think, and your children will be lovely I'm sure."

Fabian was lucky he was not there at Arthur's office earlier. If he didn't want to see them snogging he wouldn't have enjoyed that awkward meeting either. He looked at Molly's bright red face and almost felt bad for teasing her so much. Almost. "Yeah Fab. Like anyone would ever want to write you a love letter. 'My dearest Fabian,'" he said in a high pitched imitation of a girl's voice. "'I love how you drool at the mention of my bum and are always stealing other people's Playwizards.'" He barked a loud laugh and slammed his hand on the table. It wasn't often he was funny. He had to take advantage of it, even if his jokes weren't that good.

Fabian glared at his brother in a joking manner of course. "Well Gideon at least I don't hide the fact that I do read Playwizard magazine. You have about ten of them in your bottom desk drawer, that you obviously hide. Apparently you read them when no one is watching." He grinned at his brother. "And I don't drool over a girl's bum, unlike you. I look at above the neckline first. Then as I'm talking to her, and if she's attractive, then I may start looking elsewhere."

Well, at least they weren't teasing her anymore. She still had a slight blush tinging her cheeks, but she reached for both of their menus and put them in front of her until Michael came back.
He came up a few moments later, with three glasses and a bottle of wine that he poured for them. Molly gave their orders, and the waiter was gone.
"I really don't want to hear any more about those magazines, you two."

"Sorry Molls," said Fabian looking at her. "It was all Gideon's fault." A grin spread across his face. There was rarely a time that a smile wasn't on Fabian's face, unless he was working. That was completely different.
"So tell us Molls, what have you been up to other than dating Mr. Arthur Weasley? You haven't been doing drugs, or anything of that sort have you?"

(This technically takes place before the break up)
"No Fab," Molly said, shaking her head. "No drugs. Only mild drinking. No sexual encounters, and that includes Arthur Weasely. There has been a bit of rock and roll though," she replied with a smile, then she shrugged and got serious.
"I've just been catching up with Andi... she's dating someone in the ministry, you know. What do you two think of Ted Tonks?"

"That's my girl," said Fabian. "Although you could throw in a little surprise there for Arthur. I'm sure he'd get a kick out of it." He gave her a teasing grin.
"Ted Tonks? He's alright. Got a good head on his shoulders, and a pretty good auror. I worked beside him once on a mission." He looked at her questioningly. "Why? He's the one Andi's dating?"

Molly frowned, making a face. "Yeah, he's the one she's dating. He seemed awfully..." she waved her hand, trying to think of the answer she was looking for.
"Stuck up. Conceited. Full of himself... you know the type. But if Andi likes him..." Maybe she had misjudged him. Everyone else wa saying that he was all right.

Fabian started laughing. "Ted's not like that Molly. He's not stuck up. You have to get to know him, and if Andi likes him, then it's alright. Andi has a pretty good judgement. They'll be perfect together I think. I'm finally glad to see Ted finally with her. He was head over heels for her for the longest." He shook his head. "Give him a chance to Molls, and give Arthur a good chance. They're both good guys. They maybe rough around the edges, but they're not bad."

"The only conceited auror that I know is sitting at this table Molls. But I do try to stay out of that place whenever possible. You know, afraid of being arrested or something, they're all so wand-happy in there." He drank his wine and glanced around the restaurant.

"Yeah, I suppose that's all very true," she said, leaning back and sipping on her own wine. "I just don't want Andi to get hurt," she said, sighing as she added in her mind, I don't want to get hurt either.
But everyone she talked to said Ted was a good guy... maybe she needed to give him a chance. And she needed to give Arthur a second chance.

"I know we give you a hard time Molly. But that's because we're your big brothers. Don't get me wrong, I love Andromeda. But she's a big girl and she can be trusted to take care of herself. I really can't see anything wrong with the bloke, though judging by your expression you've been told that before." He paused for another drink. "And everyone knows I'm not about to shout this one's praises," he jutted a thumb at Fabian, "but to be an auror you have to go through some serious training and psychological evaluations. Andi and Ted both made it through, so I'm guessing there won't be anything worrisome for you."

Molly regarded Gideon for a minute. He made very good points, but it was just in her to be protective of the people she loved. It was like a mother lion syndrome.
"All right," she nodded. "I trust Andi, and I trust both of you... I'll give the guy another chance. If Arthur deserves one, I suppose Ted does too."

"Hey, if it makes you feel better I'll keep an eye on them for you. How about that?" He quirked an eyebrow at her, hoping his offer would ease her troubled thoughts even more. He didn't like to see his sister worry about other people as much as she did. He thought it was unhealthy, but at the same time it was totally and uniquely her.

Molly quirked a half smile at her brother and nodded. "That would make me feel a lot better, Gid. Thank you," she said. Maybe she was just too protective of the people she loved. Andi was a great judge of character, Rabastan notwithstanding, and she should trust her cousin's instincts on the boy. Besides, she had only met him once... it wasn't really fair to hate him so much right off that bat.

"Not a problem," he said, beginning to look around. "Where is our food? They sure do like to make a guy wait. Usually that's just the ladies' job..." He gave a wink to his sister. "You remember that now Molls. Make him wait!" He laughed a little, anticipating the look that he was about to get from his sister.

Molly rolled her eyes. "I'd hit you for that if you were sitting closer," she told her brother. "And anyway, the best waitress this place has is sitting here with you, so of course the service won't be as prompt as normal."

Gideon chuckled loudly. "You hear that Fab? Molly is too lazy to lean over here and hit me, but she's the best waitress this place has. No wonder I'm still starving." He smiled innocently at Molly.
It wasn't long, though too long for Gideon...before their food did come. Molly had been right in her suggestions and Gideon was glad for it. "This is great," he exclaimed, shoving another spoonfull of soup into his mouth.
