"Because I was wondering if you'd go to the dance with me. Assuming you don't have a date already that is." Sin grinned over at her and winked. "And that is assuming you don't mind dancing in public for the evening."

Bek smiled when Sin winked at her. "I think I'll be able to survive one night of public dancing," Bek laughed. "And, lucky for you, I don't have a date, I'd be happy to go with you, Sin."

Sin grinned, "Lucky me, I'll have one of the prettiest dates there. You don't mind going with a friend? You don't have some boyfriend waiting in the wings to try and kill me for taking you out from under their noses?" It was a sincere grin, and he could admit that Bek was a good friend and a good girl and he genuinely was looking forward to dancing with her.

"Nope, no boyfriend," Bek shook her head. She never really considered herself the boyfriend type. But she was definatly looking forward to going to the Yule Ball with Sin. She was sure they'd have fun.
"What about you? There's no crazy ex-girlfriends out there waiting to jynx me to another planet for going to the ball with you?"

"Me? Naw.. never really had a girlfriend to be honest. I wouldn't tie myself down like that.. I'll share a secret with you... just don't tell!" he gave her a conspiratorial look and waited for her to agree before he leaned over and whispered. "Girls scare the hell out me you know that? They're all crazy once they get their fingers latched onto you. And commitment scares the hell out of me." He grinned and winked. It was all completely true too. But he trusted Bek not to use it against him, that was one of the reasons he'd asked her to the dance. He could trust her, and they got along.

Bek made a motion looking like she pulled an imaginary zipper across her lips. "Don't worry," she promised, "I won't tell." She knew of the kinds of girls Sin was talking about. The ones that were clingy and demanding once they had a boyfriend. That was a small part of why she didn't have boyfriends, she didn't like the whole clingyness of a relationship title.

"And thank you, Bek, for going with me to the dance. I just hope I don't disappoint you. I should probably practice dancing eh? I wouldn't want to embarrass you." He wasn't a horrible dancer, but he was sure that he'd be practicing anyways just to make sure.

"Don't worry about embarassing me," Bek said with a laugh. "Did you miss the 'dance in the privacy of my room' comment?" She smiled. But she didn't want to embarass Sin either. Maybe Seth knew how to dance, in all the 'how to be a proper pureblood' lessons he had when he was little. Bek made a mental note to ask him about it later.
