Alastor saluted the corpse of the young gryffindor girl. "Katie Lawrence...." As the name rolled off his lips a small tear was quickly blinked away. Removing his cloak he placed it carefully over the young girl's corpse. "Rest well dear Katie and know that Godric Gryffindor himself would be proud of your bravery." Standing back up he turned to Albus. "It your going to assemble the students make sure they know she was a true hero Albus."

Dumbledore nodded numbly. It pained him greatly to see this young girl, whose name he had only heard mentioned at her Sorting, lying dead on the forest floor. This kind of thing simply could not happen. Not since the death of Sabrina St. Clare had there been a death of a Hogwarts student. And this one hurt just as much as the last one, even though he had known Sabrina more than he knew Katie.
"Yes," he said in answer to Moody's request. "Yes, indeed. A true hero. And we owe it to her to be sure that no other student's life is cut short while on these grounds. Alastor, please go to the Ministry, and see if we can get some more backup. I think perhaps it may also be time to reassemble the Order."

Hagrid couldn't help himself as he started blubbering quietly. Deaths always got to him and he'd already cried once when he'd found her.
