Narcissa loved the stars at night, and didn't mind this class. Sure, Bella never took it, and usually she was alone in this class, but it didn't make any difference. She enjoyed it all the same. Plus, it gave her some quite time to herself.
Walking in she gave a hello to the professor and sat down.

Charlotte walked briskly into the room. She was for all intents and purposes a night owl so she indeed loved this class...well not loved, not really. But she didn't mind having something to do during the late hours. Scanning the room with her sharp eyes she didn't see much in prospects until she spotted Narcissa and nodded while walking in the girl's direction, "Hello Narcissa." she said with a smile.
She had been on Vacation with her parents for the past week and hadn't a clue of any new goings on.
"How have things been?"

When she had taken down all of the student's names, she set the roster down and checked the time. It was five minutes after, and one of the poor Gryffindor girls looked ready to fall asleep in her seat.
"Well, five points to each of you for showing up to class, and on time," She announced, catching their attention. "I do not punish in this class, but I do reward. My name is Juliette Dean, I'm all right with Ms. Dean or Julie, whichever you prefer. Is everyone ready to get started?"

Maxi was ready. She pulled out a quill and some parchment and elbowed Bek to wake her up again before turning her attention back to Professor Dean.

Charlotte was cut short from her answer when the professor thought to start the class, how utterly droll that they would actually have to work, it was the stars for Merlin's sake, they were pretty...if you were judging by beauty who else cared what they did? But she was taking this class, mainly because she was a night owl and the later her classes the better but still she'd have rather socialized than learn unless it was in the subject that she cared to learn which unfortunately Astronomy was not.

Roman sighed, pushing in late yet again for another class. She loved the Astronomy Tower, and the ginat vast sky above made up for the lateness of the class. Slowly, she brought herself to the back of the room and sat down. There was no point in trying to connect with anyone now. She deemed herself a bit annoying for always being late.

Natasha never slept, unless she was sleeping something off, so Astronomy was a good class for her. She preferred the night actually when all secrets were whispered and by the glow of candlelight debauchery reigned.
She made the long journey up to the astronomy class and signaled her presence to the professor before taking a seat.

Tess was usually never late to a class, but for whatever excuses she had, she was late to Astronomy tonight. She still entered the room with a soft smile on her lips. As long as the professor didn't take points away, it was all right. And even if she did, Tess would only figure out how to make them up.
She took a seat without causing too much disruption. It happened to be near Natasha.

"Come in, come in," Julie said to the students who were still walking in. "For those of you who just joined us, my name is Professor Dean, or if you prefer, Julie. I was just explaining that I do not punish in this class, but I do reward. Everyone who was here before you earned points for their houses. Now, if you're ready, we'll begin."
She sat on the edge of her desk. "I want to begin by mentioning just how large the universe is. There are more stars than we can count, all spinning at mind boggling speeds. There are dark holes that trap all light, worm holes, planets, stars, hostility, and beauty just above your heads. But it is also inside of you. To know the universe is to know yourself. Each of you is made of the same material that makes the stars. You have a chaotic, beautiful universe that is just as fascinating as the one we're studying in this class. I hope, as we go through this course, that you will begin to identify yourself with the subject matter."

Charlotte wasn't really paying attention to the babble the teacher spat at them, peace love earth zodiac blah blah blah, really the sky held little interest for her and if this wasn't a "fly" class during the hours that she usually felt most awake she probably wouldn'tve been there. Instead she glanced upwards, she did have one thing to say the night sky certainly was vivid.

Lyla yawned as she made her way up the staircase, she usually wasn't late to class but Astronomy was difficult for her sometimes. She liked the stars and yet was used to a set bedtime.
She entered the room sent an apologetic look towards the teacher and then went to find a spot to sit.

Noah skulked into the Astronomy tower. He whipped his damp blond hair out of his face and smirked at the teacher as a way of a greeting. His shower ahd taken longer then usual, do to a shortage of hot water, a string of swearing, and a 'volunteer' house elf to help him fix the shower.
He sank down against the telescopes and stared at the sky. This would be the easiest class ever.

Gage yawned again, but began to pay close attention to Professor Dean. She seemed like she knew what he was doing, which Gage greatly appreciated. He glanced out the window and saw the clear night sky and the moon shining brightly. He poked Maxi's side and pointed outside. "Great night for Astronomy, in't it?"

Maxi followed Gage's gaze outside. "Yea, it's beautiful," she agreed. Behind her, Bek was still dozing a little. But Maxi decided to leave her like that. She'd wake more when class started.
