Sam appeared to brighten, "Oh wonderful, if you would like we're going to do a bit more shopping and then head over to Le Repas Cher for lunch... lunch?" she asked turning back to Caleb, "Or dinner?" she asked then looked back at Lyra, "Well I suppose we should make it dinner since we're all together, you do have time to spare Lyra?" she asked surely the girl had a date or something...

Caleb frowned, "Sam you should have gotten your books-" he remembered himself and nodded to her, he didn't like that she wasn't prepared, but he had let her name slip familiarly from his lips. When she asked about dinner he just smiled, "Whatever you ladies desire. I am of course to oblige." he said with a small bow, "Miss Newbury may I carry your books?" he asked. He was already a packmule, but the worst part was he was a gentleman, and he'd do anything for his sister to get a new friend.

Sam looked up at her brother and inwardly shook her head, oh you poor innocent man, you have no clue what you're up against, she sighed to herself, but was all smiles when she insisted that Lyra stay with them for the *rest* of the day, hoping that the girl had plans, she hadn't gotten to spend much time with her brother and she didn't want to be on guard all day for what she might let slip. "Oh it's fine, Rystain let me share his book for class." she said as prettily as she could knowing the other girl thought the guy was handsome.

"He's a doll, isn't he?" Lyra said innocently of her friend. Sam sounded as though she might fancy Rystain a bit. That would be an altogether too good looking couple. She smiled to distract from the tiny shudder that ran down her spine.
"This is your lucky day Sam. I just happen to be free tonight." She brushed a lock of hair from her face using her arm so that Sam couldn't see the seductive smile that she gave the professor. "Aren't you a sweetheart," she said as she handed her bag of books to Professor Renneau.

"My lucky day indeed." she said with a wide grin.
Her and Rystain? It wouldn't happen, oh the boy was beautiful, in fact Hogwarts had a lot of beautiful men, and even more of them in her own house, but she knew better than to give her heart away, and then especially to someone who would abuse it the way she knew a man like Rystain would, it was just his nature to like pretty women...for a time.
She had to smile and her smile was perfect not betraying anything.

Caleb at least, was happy. Sam was making friends, and as soon as she had her friends he'd be free to tell anyone he wanted that they were siblings not that he had much stopping him now. That Dorian kid had a lot of nerve, but he wouldn't think about that now. He took Lyra's books and didn't notice her seductive smile anymore than any other smile. The man was hopelessly oblivious.

Lyra was pleased with the annoyance in Sam's voice. She had no idea why she was trying so hard to push Sam's buttons, but it was quite fun. In the most pleasant voice she could muster, Lyra asked, "So where to? I believe the quill shop is having a sale. Do you need any ink or parchment?"

Sam shrugged, " I could always use a new set, although I was thinking of going to get a magical creature, they're selling Phoenixes now I believe, and Mother wouldn't let me have one, but Papa seems to like the idea." she said smiling up at Caleb mischeviously. He knew why Sam wanted the phoenix. Since apparating was against the rules for a fifth year, and one couldn't technically apparate outside of Hogwarts she was safely confined, but that never suited Sam at all. When she was in Beauxbatons she befriended a Phoenix there.
She knew they were incredibly difficult to domesticate, not to mention they could get out at any chosen moment, but oh how she wanted one.
Creatures she found, were much easier to love and be loved by, they only asked that you feed them and take care of them, and in return they loved whole heartedly, much better than people anyway.

"A phoenix? Aren't those a bit...difficult?" She had heard that sort of bird was quite hard to train, not to mention extremely expensive. She doubted if her mum or da would allow her to purchase one for herself, though they certainly could afford it. Well, if her parents allowed Sam to have one, at least Lyra would be able to see it now and then. She hadn't actually seen a phoenix in person, they were so rare. She walked out the bookshop with the other two, and headed towards the pet shop.

Only twenty galleons, although Sam realized for some that was a significant number. She wondered if she would be able to tame such an exotic animal, but her lips curled in a confident smirk. She was Samantha Montgomery, of course she would be able to handle a bird.
Smiling she thought of her soon to be new acquisition and led the way to the shop.

Angelina walked in. She got a book for C.O.M.C, Transfiguration, Potions, Divination, and Dueling all used.
"Let me see thats... 15 galleons." she handed the money over.
