Alice waved in the chair with dizziness and bit down on the roots. She recognized them from her herbology studies and wasn't afraid to take them considering the pain. But she was very ..she noticed the blackness come then.... and .... Alice fought the darkness as it threatened her vision....

Bellatrix sighed at how long everything was taking, and leaned against the wall. This was absolutely of no use to her or the Dark Lord. Rori wasn't here, Bellatrix had no idea what was going on between her and the Ravenclaw boy. There was no one here that would interest her master, and she was stuck with whining girls and Gage. She sighed again and shook her head. "Merlin, what a waste," she muttered to herself.

If only Bella knew there was someone who wanted out of there more than she did. Sam hated this sort of thing, and she was never allowed to cry about it which made whining also a no.
Oh she had her crocodile tears, which inwardly she was amused by, but the thought of showing anything but strength was revolting.
She tried to slip in the background and approached Bella again, " Madame's already Checked me, may I be excused?"

"Fine, go." She waved Samantha off without really looking at her and sighed again, banging the back of her head against the wall. One down. If only Madam Pomfrey was as quick as she was skilled. The all would have been out of there by now.

Sam curtsied and got out of there, when she was in the hallway she rolled her eyes, Bella, she decided wasn't worth much to her. Still she didn't care about any of that, she had gotten out of class, it wasn't until she was in her dorm again that she remembered, "I wanted to go to Defense." she bit her lip and closed her eyes, she would have to work out some personal issues before she went back.

Gage tisked Maxi and picked up her glass, handing it back to Maxi. "Drink it!" Gage ordered, laughing at the stuborness of his friend. As he watched Maxi gag back the blood plenishing potion, he looked around at the others and saw Alice about to pass out.
"Alice!" Gage said, running over and helping her as Madame Pomfrey continued working on her injury.

Madam Pomfrey saw that Alice was beginning to pass out, but she was in the middle of the delicate removal of the glass and couldn't do anything. "Bellatrix!" she said without turning her head. "Please run over and get the bottle of blood replenishing potion. She's lost a fair amount of blood here, and she's weakening."
She continued to use the charm to carefully extract the glass. It was almost there, but it seemed a bit larger than Madam Pomfrey had expected.

Alice winced as she felt the glass shard being removed, she kept an image of Frank firmly in her mind to keep from passing out. She would not give in to the darkness pulling at her, she was a tough cookie and the pain was bearable since it was almost numb now but the blood loss was getting her. She knew she was in good hands though and just did her best to stay upright. Frank, she just needed to concentrate on Frank's face.

Bellatrix looked quickly for the vial Madam Pomfrey wanted. It took her a while to find it because she had been paying very little attention to anything going on other than Samantha. And once the girl was gone she completely zoned out.
Finding the small bottle she ran it over to the school healer. She looked at Alice, her cousin though not close. It concerned Bellatrix slightly to see Alice so faint and pale looking.

At that moment, the rest of the glass shard finally pulled out of Alice's shoulder. "Oh, much better," Poppy said. "It's deep, but it looks like a clean cut." She took out a gauze pad and held it to the spot. "Here, Alice, can you hold this on your shoulder, dear? I can't heal the cut until the bleeding stops."
Then she took the blood replenishing potion from Bellatrix and measured out a dose in the cap. Lifting the small cup to Alice's lips, she ordered her to drink.

Alice obediently held the guaze to her own shoulder with as much pressure as she could muster. She was no stranger to the hospital ward, she'd been quite a clutz in her earlier years and even now she managed to get hurt occasionally and she trusted the healers capable directions. But she hated that lousy potion that she immediately recognized and with a groan she dutifully drank the potion as it was handed to her. She winced at the familiar taste, it was worse than a cold drought.
Alice was not one to usually complain even about her own pain, but that was usually because complaining meant visiting the ward or staying longer and she certainly wasn't going to do that.

"Thank you, Bella," Poppy said to the teaching assistant. "Now, Alice, you lay back and keep holding that gauze in place. I'll check on it in a minute. I need to make sure the younger students are OK, before I send them back to class."
She rushed over to check over Maxi, whose color had improved dramatically, and Gage, who seemed fine. "Do you two think you're well enough to go back to class?" she asked.

Alice obediently laid back and closed her eyes while she held the gauze tightly to her shoulder and got lost in her own thoughts while the nurse turned her attention to the other two students.

Bellatrix waited until Madam Pomfrey had left to attend to Maxi and Gage, then she took a seat next to Alice's bedside. Her color was already coming back, the potion was working quickly. "Are you feeling alright?" It was out of character for her to show concern about a bloodtraitor, even if they were family. But seeing Alice hurt brought feelings that were rare. She was worried. She really needn't be, Madam Pomfrey was wonderful and the injury was not life threatening.

Alice opened her eyes to see Bella next to her with a worried look. She was still feeling a bit too light headed to be shocked at her cousin's uncharacteristic concern. It's not that she'd been directly ousted by her family for anything as bad as dating a mudblood or anything but she was known to be a supporter of equality in wizarding kind regardless of blood status. Her parents were still in the good graces of the family, it's just that Alice made no secret she didn't believe that blood superiority was as important as the rest of her family and had made no secret in the past year that she was going to train to be an Auror after graduation.
"Just.. light headed and I'm bleeding of course but.. better than before. I'll be okay, not like it's not the first time I've been in here for cuts or broken bones." Alice winced as she adjusted her shoulder, the bleeding was slowing down she could tell and she was beginning to feel better already.. though she'd be happier when the cut was healed.

"Can we go back to class?"

Poppy checked Gage over quickly, making sure he was well. "Yes, I think you're both fine. Bellatrix, why don't you go ahead and escort these two back to class? I'll finish up with Alice and, if I think she's well enough I'll send her back on her own. Thanks again for your help, dear."
She then turned back to Alice and gently lifted the gauze to inspect the cut.

Alice clenched her teeth as the nurse inspected her wound, but she refused to groan in pain. She was not going to stay here longer than necessary and silently hoped the blood had stopped.

Madam Pomfrey examined the girl's wound carefully. There was still a light trickle of blood, but it didn't seem like it would be a problem. She used a spell which would seal the wound, then covered it with a small bandage, which would protect the area while the wound began its slow healing process.
"There you go, and with any luck there won't even be a scar," Madam Pomfrey said. "How are you feeling? Are you still feeling light-headed?"

"I'm a little tender but not really dizzy anymore, the potion helped a lot." Alice said truthfully, luckily that blood replenisher usually worked quickly and the blood had returned to her head and the waves of blackness and dizzyness had faded away finally.
"Will I be okay to go back to my dorm though? I'm not sure I'm quite up to casting in class yet but maybe with a nap I'll be good as new." She hoped the nurse would let her finish recovering in her dorm so she wouldn't have to stay in one of those stiff recovery beds that made her want to run.
