Arthur laughed lightly. "I know all about it," he replied. "I'm distantly related to her family as well. My grandmother was a third cousin of Andromeda's grandparents, and she was also disowned for marrying my father. So I guess that makes us very distant relations as well." In a family as large as the Blacks, it wasn't unusual to find a distant relative you'd never met before. But it was still rather odd. He'd have to research the family tree to find out just how closely they were related.
He stifled a yawn, hoping she wouldn't think he was bored by the conversation or the company.

She caught his yawn, as much as he tried to hide it, and she knew she should let him go. He had been woking earlier... he had said that, right?
"Well, Arthur... I'm sorry to do this to you, but I really should be getting home. It's getting late." And she had the opening shift tomorrow, though she did not add this to the conversation.
She held out her hand. "It was nice to meet you."

Arthur felt immediately disappointed that his evening with her was ending. He honestly would have liked for it to last all night. Or longer. But he wasn't entirely sure his conversation skills would last that long, anyway. "It is getting late," he agreed reluctantly. "I... could walk you home, if you wanted. Just to make sure you got home safe...?" He trailed off, ending the comment with a question. He rather expected her to turn him down; after all, she could probably just apparate home. But he really did want to make sure she was safe.

Molly hesitated. She lived just down the street... there was no reason to make Arthur walk her home. Plus, for reasons even etirely unknown to her, she didn't want to bring him to her front door to turn him away.
"I'll be all right, actually. But thank you," she said, allowing herself to give him a smile. "And thank you for the butterbeer." And the conversation and attention. He had catered to her not wanting to talk about herself, and she appreciated that. He was interesting to listen to, as well.
"Maybe we'll bump into each other again?" She asked.

Arthur was disappointed, but he did his best to hide it. "Well... if you're sure," he said. "I actually live in London, so I have to apparate out of here anyway. Just be careful walking home, OK? You know, since it's late and everything." Impulsively, he took her hand and pressed it to his lips in a light kiss. "Thanks again for the lovely evening. And, you know... for not having me drawn and quartered when I spilled butterbeer on you."
With a sheepish smile, he walked with her to the door. "I'd really like to see you again. I'll send you an owl?"

"It was just butterbeer," she said, waving the mishap away. "No harm done. But yes, I'll be careful walking home."
She smiled when he said he wanted to see her again, though she wasn't a hundred percent sure why he would. Still, she had enjoyed his company and she wouldn't mind seeing him again.
"All right," she said with a nod. "That... would be nice."
