She laughed in her enjoyment and pulled him to face her, then pressed her chilled lips against his. She parted from him ever so slightly.
"Then let us sin together!"

"Being my Devil, my Evil winged one." he smiled and obliged her kisses and caresses. He stepped back and said "I want to see you, bathed in moonlight my love." and he held out his arms to her inviting her back into them he wanted to run his hands over her skin and not the flimsy shifts she wore or the other darker dresses. No he wanted to feel her and all her smoothness.

Amanda beamed at Brian, his arms held out for her. She agreed to play along, now that he was no longer taunting her about Delila.
And even still, she had a hard time not doing as he instructed, even if it were non-verbal. His gestured sometimes spoke more than his words ever could. And she read him so clearly at times is was as if they were one being.
She let him envelop her and lead her where he would.

Brain loved to cradle her in his arms, even pretending that she was the delicate beauty she seemed to be. In that respect he almost her understood her desire for young ones, so human they were, but she was solid and smooth and like silk strings attached to her scalp to her downy hair there and her long ago painted face. He liked to slide his hands over her, removing her wrappings. "Won't you sing to me? like you have always done?" he asked batting his lashes like a vaudeville dame being coy. "I'll wear the pretty lace things if you want." he used the promise like a bargaining chip, sure that she would accept and croon to him in her wavering voice.

She waited to speak until he was done with her and the moonlight reflected off her alabaster skin. "I'm too good to you," she warned as she bounded up to a figure of an angel, its wings wrapped around its body protectively.
"Tis the last rose of summer Left blooming alone All her lovely companions Are faded and gone"
She sang the song to him, a song she remembered from when she had lived in Ireland, only a century or two after she had been turned. Her voice needed no warming exercises to sound as perfect as a professional on the first line. And the melody only became more enchanting as she continued.

Brian sighed and sat perched at the Angel's foot listening to the lovely song. "Oh, it's almost like home again, hearing you sing like a night angel." It was the reason he wanted always to hold her, she was so beautiful. When she danced it was with abandon, when she sang it was like a rough and yet mellow honey pouring onto his skin, to see her, just as dressed as the cherubs and lacking wings was as if he would get to see heaven. He thought soberly that being what he was, he'd never see if there was such a place.

She looked down upon him, sitting at the angel's feet. It was almost as though he sat waiting for the angel to come alive and take him. She ignored these thoughts, not wanting to imagine a life, even this one, without him. She went on, turning her eyes to the stars above them.
"When true hearts lie wither’d And fond ones are flown Oh, who would inhabit This bleak world alone"

He felt his heart lift, He needed no angels and no holy things, she made him feel whole in a world of endless night. She shown as bright as the moon, the dusky color of the points of her otherwise white as cream skin. "No never alone." he said, like he always did. They weren't made to be apart for so long, over the centuries together, it hadn't been more than fifty or so that they had spent apart? was it more? was it less? He couldn't remember, he never could when he had her and could play with her and dance with her and he never could remember why they would part.

Her song over, Amanda turned her eyes back to Brian. His look had changed slightly and now when Amanda looked at him she did not fear that he wanted to be gone from this world. He did not want to leave her here alone. No, never alone.
A smile played on her lips as she moved herself towards him, turning her body with each step so that the moonlight accentuated her creamy skin. "My darling," she cooed as she reached him.

"Cara mia" he said, the little phrase he managed to remember after so long, face of mine. " Let's not fight again." he said smiling, standing to cradle her again. "so many years, so many lives we've had, we aren't so bland that we cannot be envied for all we have, our lovely half lives on the fringes of the world. For all the dancing on the edge we do, we have what most never find in their mortal lives." he said running his hands up her arms to her shoulders.

His light touches sent shivers over her cold skin, her head rolling back in ecstasy. She loved him more than anything. And he loved her. And for all their arguing she could not stay mad at him. No matter how many times he banished her. Chastised her. Infuriated her. She cared for him more deeply than any living being had ever known. It was the sort of love that could only come after hundreds of years. It was the sort of love only their kind could know.
