Bella scoffed at his comment regarding the Dark Arts. "That will never happen as long as Dumbledore is in power. He is much too involved in that whole 'peace and love' bullsh*t. Prancing around the castle like one of those muggle hippies; he'd never allow the Dark Arts to be properly taught." She crossed her right leg over her left and smoothed the light fabric of her robe over her thigh and past her knee.
"Now, if someone were to get rid of him, then we'd have a true chance at Hogwarts reaching it's full potential..."

Edmund rolled his eyes and groaned. "Yes, it's really rather embarrassing," he agreed. "Pity that a wizard with as much power as he has should go and waste it by being such a ruddy muggle-lover. I certainly hope the Dark Lord is planning something to get him out of the way once and for all. We need to restore the school, and the rest of the wizarding world to its former glory. The muggles are the ones who should be hiding, not us. We're the ones with the power." As he spoke, his usually cold eyes began to burn with fury and passion.

Bellatrix closely watched Edmund as he spoke. His passion seemed to swell inside her as well, and she couldn't control the smile that appeared on her face. Edmund now seemed irresistible to her. The mention of power, the look in his eye, it was all too much for her. She leaned closer to him and pulled him to her. She pressed her lips to his and allowed her tongue to slip into his mouth. When she finally pulled away she simply turned back to her drink and took another sip.

Edmund had been speaking so passionately about the subject that he was actually taken by surprise when Bellatrix abruptly kissed him. But he rallied quickly, kissing her back hungrily. When he felt her tongue slip into his mouth, he pressed his body closer to her, awakening a hunger he hadn't realized had been slumbering. How long had it been? He wasn't getting anything from Claire, or from Angelique. It was becoming intolerable.
Just as suddenly, Bellatrix pulled away and returned to her drink, looking as if nothing had ever happened. He stared for a second, then allowed his face to spread into a sly grin. "Well, if I'd known that was all it would take, my dear, I'd have started talking about my beliefs in the Dark Lord's work the second I walked in the door," he commented, raising an eyebrow at her. He slid off his barstool and moved closer to her, his hip deliberately bumping against hers. "What do you say we ditch this hellhole?" he suggested.

Bellatrix casually lifted her glass to her mouth again and sipped her drink. Gently she set the glass backn on the bar as she caught a glimpse of Edmund's grin out of the corner of her eye. He was too easy... Bella turned her whole body on the stool so that her back rested against the edge of the bar. "Sure," she said with a shrug. She slid off the barstool and grabbed her purse. "Be sure to pay for the drinks before we go," she said as she headed for the door.

Edmund reached into his pocket and pulled out a handful of coins. He tossed a few of them onto the bar without even looking. He didn't care whether or not it was the right amount. After all, it would take old Winston a while to figure it out, and by then, he'd forget who owed him the money. Walking with long, even strides, so as not to seem too eager, Edmund followed after Bellatrix, placing his hand on the small of her back. "Well, then, my dear, your place or mine?"

Bella laughed at him. "Oh, my precious Edmund, you'll have to work a whole hell of a lot harder to get into my flat. Where are you at?" She looked at him sweetly. She meant nothing rude by her comment, though plenty would take it that way. Not that she cared if he did take it the wrong way. She could find any bloke if she were bored, he was nothing special. Though he clearly thought himself so.

Edmund hesitated. He didn't often take women--or anyone--to his house. It was his family's home, and his parents still lived there. It was a large estate and the birthright of his family. He was now considered the sole estate manager and owner, since his parents had passed it all to him, and they merely lived there as a matter of rights. But to explain all that to a woman was complicated, and it usually boiled down to "you live with your parents?"
He'd never even brought Claire to his home, but he had brought Angelique there. But then, he'd been trying to play on her sympathies, while simultaneously impressing her with the size of his estate. Neither had completely succeeded.
He looked back at Bellatrix with a sly grin. "Actually, my place is a bit out of the way," he answered. It was, after all, the truth... it just wasn't the whole truth. "Maybe we could get a room somewhere nearby?"

Bella didn't care that he was making no sense, offering his place and then taking it off the table. She didn't even care if he was hiding a wife, or a whole harem for that matter. She just wanted to have a good time, and that is what she planned on doing. "That's fine."

Edmund opened the door for her, letting a surprisingly cold blast of air into the bar. It was the first really chilly night of the fall, reminding them that winter was just around the corner. All the more reason to seek warmth tonight, he thought to himself. "Well, let's see," he said as he followed her outside. "There's a cheap, sleazy little place just a little way down the alley. It's a bit dirty, but it's good in a pinch. Or we could head to the Leaky Cauldron. Any preferences?"

She folded her arms around her, protecting her chest from the chilly wind. The sky was black, and the moon barely visible. It was a beautiful night. She barely paid attention when Edmund listed their choices for the evening's events. She snuggled close to Edmund, placing her hand on his chest. "Just make a decision already. I'm getting cold and need warming up." She gave him a flirty smile.

Edmund nodded, glad to see that she was as eager as he was. "Very well, then, we'll go to the one down the street from here," he said. He didn't want to seem like he was in a rush, even though he was, so he stopped and took her face in his hands and kissed her intensely. Of course, this only made him more excited, so, as he pulled away, he took her hand and led her to the little inn without another word.
