The Prisoner

[Kris Lupin]

"It's a wonder you and him didn't kill the humans for it." Ashura said finially looking up. "How do you know my brother will believe your letter, he might think it's all talk."

[Gretchen Thomas]

"I would have," Gretchen said, "but I wasn't there. I was still in France at the time. Buck and I were separated for a while. I do believe he killed a few people after he broke her out of the hospital. He felt bad about nearly killing her in the attack. He was particularly violent when he was alone. He had less control." She looked down at the letter in her hand. "Oh, he'll come. Even if he isn't sure, he's the type who will come anyway, just to make sure. He won't risk your life." She laughed and finished tying the note to the bird's leg. Then she released the owl and watched as it flew over the trees.

[Kris Lupin]

"If you weren't with him then how can you be sure he didn't attack me?" Ashura asked. In truth she wasn't even sure if he had or not, all she could remember was the color of the werewolf's fur

[Gretchen Thomas]

Gretchen shrugged. "Even if he did, it's still not the same. He didn't kill you. You're alive and well. So it's not a fair revenge for your brother to kill him."

[Kris Lupin]

"And if he was the one that killed his fiance?" Ashura asked. She wished she could remember everything.

[Gretchen Thomas]

Gretchen frowned. "Well, that would be a completely different story," she said. "If Buck killed your brother's love, then... well, it would be justice for your brother to kill him. But proving something like that after all this time wouldn't be easy."

[Kris Lupin]

Ashura hung her head and began wondering if she had witnessed it.

[Quinn]

Quinn walked back into the camp with Korbel next to her. "Gretchen, I think we have a problem," she said. "We were following Dawn's scent, but then we lost it. We also caught the scent of another group of werewolves, ones we didn't recognize, right around the time we lost Dawn's scent. I think the other pack may have taken her."

[Gretchen Thomas]

"What?" Gretchen yelled. She let out a loud curse. "This is unacceptable! How many times have I told that girl not to go off with strangers?" She sighed heavily. "With our luck, she's probably stumbled into Zander's pack. Then if he finds out we have Ashura, they'll be able to hold Dawn against us." She shook her head. "Well, you're going to have to find out who she's with. Quinn, you're the most comfortable around humans, you'd better do it." She looked at Quinn and frowned. "But not like that. Look at your nose. Did the little pup do that to you?"

[Quinn]

"Yes," Quinn said, glaring hatefully at Ashura. "Does it look very bad?" She put her hand on her nose and pouted.

[Gretchen Thomas]

"It looks terrible," Gretchen said. "Come here, Quinn, and let me fix it." She took out her wand and tapped Quinn's nose, uttering a healing spell. "There, now, you should be fine. It's already looking better. The color should be back to normal by the time you get into town. Now, Quinn, you can take Korbel with you if you want, but I need you to go back to the spot where you lost Dawn's scent and follow the other scents into town. If you can figure out where they went, you may be able to figure out who they are. If it's Zander's pack, then we'll definitely have a problem."

[Korbel]

Korbel nodded and took Quinn's hand again, not bothering to look over at Ashura. He felt that her being there was his fault, when in truth, it was. Korbel tugged on Quinn's hand and started to pull her away. "We'll be back as soon as we can."

[Kris Lupin]

Ashura looked up and glaring at Korbel said as he left, "I hope you're happy, Korbel. This is all your fault." Her voice shook slightly but she held back tears. "I never should have showed you where I stayed, nor spoke to you."

[Korbel]

Korbel managed a crooked smile at Ashura. "I can't say that I'm completely happy with the way things turned out for you, since you were a good friend, but things happen. You know, it was your fault that we started to talk to each other, if you hadn't answered me, then none of this would be happening now, would it? I have to admit half of it is my fault, but it's also half your fault."

[Kris Lupin]

"Yeah I answered because I never thought you would end up being a two timing scumbag and you started talking to me and I am not rude. You were my only friend and the first guy I liked but I doubt you even cared about me, especially after what you said when you left."

[Korbel]

"What can I say love, I have had my fun," said Korbel. "And watch what you call me. You might as well keep your opinions to yourself before they get you into even more trouble," he growled.

[Kris Lupin]

"What are you gonna do? Hit me? Go ahead. I don't care." Ashura said bitterly. "You've made your choice, you've decided to go with the hussy that helped put me here. Though, you are nothing but two timing scum and I bet that's all you'll ever be."

[Korbel]

"I suggest you keep your mouth shut," said Korbel. "Talking about me is one thing, but you keep your mouth shut when it comes to Quinn, I mean it. No, I'm not going to hit you, so don't worry about that."

[Kris Lupin]

Ashura smirked. "What? Does talking about the hussy push a button? You know it felt real good when I hit her, I only wish I could do it again." She didn't care for him now, he had made his choice, he chose that hussy over her so if she goes behind his back like he did Ashura that's his problem.

[Korbel]

"I said shut it Ashura," said Korbel starting to turn angry. "And you might as well keep on wishing, because the position you're in, you can't do a damned thing, so why don't you be a good little girl and stop talking."
