Isabella was watching the class silently, still in a good mood. When she noticed that Sabrina seemed unusally engrossed in a book, she called out, "Miss St. Clare, may I see that book you're reading?"

"Oh, this?" Sabrina said casually. "Oh, it's just some extra work for Ancient Runes..." But she saw the teacher's pleasant expression fade, as she continued to hold out her hand for the book. She tried to slip the book under the other one and grabbed the book on top.

Isabella caught the action. "Not that one, the other one. The one underneath." She watched as the girl reluctantly took out the other book and brought it up to her desk. Isabella took the book from Sabrina and looked down at it. "Legilimency?" she repeated. "How did you come to have this book?" When Sabrina didn't answer, she said, "Fine, I don't really want to know, do I? Well, I think you know that this is a restricted subject here. I'm going to have to confiscate this." She looked at her for a moment. "I should take points away for this, but I'm in a good mood, so I'll let it go. Please sit down, Miss St. Clare." She stood up. "I need to take this book back to the library, I'll be right back. In the meantime, Miss Logan will be in charge until I get back." She walked out of the room.

James walked in and saw that the teacher was gone. He smirked as he walked over to Sirius. "What happen to whatsherface," James said, taking out parchment and his quill. "Stuck in the bathroom."

Isabella walked back into the classroom. "Miss St. Clare, I'm going to have to give you a detention for having that book," she said. "Tonight at 7:00 in my office, please." She looked around the room and made a quick check of her attendance sheet. "We're still missing a few people... has anyone seen Remus Lupin today?"

"Well, he'll have to make up this lesson," Isabella said. "We're going to begin. Last time I mentioned there were some spells to defend yourself against attacks. Today we'll be learning the Disarming Charm. Does anyone know the incantation?"

"Very good, Mr. Potter. Five points to Gryffindor," Isabella said. "Now, we will be practicing the Disarming spell today, so please break up into pairs and take turns performing the spell on each other. I will be walking around the room to make sure you're doing it right."

Severus waited for someone to partner with him, he really didn't want to ask anyone, it felt like an insurmoutable task.

Elle looked up from reading her book and saw Sirius and James pairing up, she looked down and continued to read her book
