Potions Class 6

[Sabrina St. Clare]

Sabrina began to mix her Strengthening solution, adding mugwort leaves and toad's feet before using a healthy splash of salamander blood. "Make sure you don't overheat it," she advised Remus. "Keep the heat very low and simmer it slowly. You're going to have to let it mature until next class, but if you overheat it now, it will congeal into a thick paste. Not what you want."

Naicelle put her book down and listened to the instructions that her sister Zoe was telling her about the Strengthening solution. She started working.

[Justine Torrance]

Justine sighed as she began to mix together her potion ingredients. Once again, no one had even said a word to her. It was like wearing an invisibility cloak all the time. She wasn't sure what she expected...

[Severus Snape]

"Wait, don't do that" said Severus noticing the pretty girl that had been silent most of class was going to add a Castor bean her cauldron. "That's really poisonous, I think you meant to use one of these" he said pointing at an Agate pebble. He immediately cringed, he didn't want to seem nosy, worst of all... a KNOW IT ALL.

[Rori Logan]

Rori ran into class, she knew she was late. "Sorry Professor." she said as she quickly took a seat next to Severus. She looked at his book and quickly turned to page 82 and gathered her ingredients and started on the potion.

[Severus Snape]

"Hey Rori! why are you late? did you take the potion to late?" he asked worried that maybe his potion was affecting her negatively. It had begun to worry him, by all accounts he shouldn't of be able to make such a break through, when so many older than him hadn't been able to improve on potions for centuries, but none the less, he smiled at Rori and helped her catch up.

[Justine Torrance]

Justine stopped and looked over at the boy. "Who, me?" she said. She was still holding the bean. "Um, thanks." She picked up the stone instead and put it in.

[Severus Snape]

"No problem" said Severus then he turned around and Helped Rori slice her mugwort, so it would wilt faster.

[Justine Torrance]

Justine frowned and turned back to her potion. She didn't really care how the stupid thing turned out, really. Maybe if she made it explode, people would notice her. Not that she wanted to be noticed, really... she was just tired of feeling like she was invisible. She looked over at the Slytherin boy again and saw how he was helping the pretty brunette. Maybe if she looked more like her, she'd get attention. Instead she was just plain Justine. The people at the orphanage should probably just have named her Jane.

[Rori Logan]

"Nah, I just overslept is all and then the water in the shower was freezing." said Rori shrugging. "Thanks Sev." Rori glanced up again and noticed a girl she hadn't noticed before. She smiled to the girl. "Hey. I'm Rori."

[Justine Torrance]

"Um, hi," Justine said, avoiding the girl's eyes. "I'm Justine." She supposed if she had friends, she could have said something cute like 'My friends call me Jussy,' but she didn't have friends. Not that it mattered, really. They were all going to die anyway.

[Severus Snape]

"That's a pretty name, and careful with that vial, You don't want to cause an Anna." said severus lightly as he plucked a vial out of Justine's hand. " You should use that other one." he said with an akward twist of his lips.

[Rori Logan]

Rori shook her head. "Whatever you do, don't pull an Anna. The first two days she made potions explode, and it was a mess. Plus too, class was over early, because of that. Thanks Sev for helping me, and nice to meet you Justine." she said smiling and returning to work on her potion.

[Justine Torrance]

Justine was a little surprised when Severus took the vial from her hand and gave her another one. "Oh, sorry," she said. "I'm not really very good at this. I wasn't good at Muggle chemistry class, either." She started to say more about the time she had accidentally added a wrong ingredient that made the whole school need to be evacuated for toxic fumes, but she felt certain that they would laugh at her and say she was stupid, like the muggle children had. She closed her lips tightly and added the contents of the second vial.

[Severus Snape]

Severus added the last ingrident to his potion powdered sage root and turned the heat off his potion "Now we have to let it mature." he said putting a lid on it.

[Catherine Blustrode]

Catherine had worked on her potion as quickly as she could, she hated potions. such hard and messy work

[Remus Lupin]

Remus followed Sabrina's every move, and when he added the last ingredient, his potion looked almost like hers, just a shade lighter. He frowned. "OK, so we let it mature now?" he said.

[Justine Torrance]

Justine finished her potion and turned off the heat. It was a funny color and didn't match the other students' potions. But it hadn't exploded, so she hoped that was a good sign. She labelled the potion with her name and put it aside.

[Rori Logan]

Rori frowned. "It's not supposed to be hot pink is it?" she asked as she looked over her ingredients. Rori added a little bit more salamander blood and then stirred the potion. It turned to the right color at last. She knew she had to let it sit for a minute so she let it sit. As soon as it had, she picked up her vial, put her name on it, and poured some potion into it, and sat it beside her.

[Lucius Malfoy]

Lucius added his last ingredient and turned off the heat. Pouring the potion into a vial, he labelled it with his name and set it aside. Then he yawned boredly.
