Cassidy giggled. "Well, he'd definitely deserve it," she agreed. "But I wouldn't want you to get into any trouble or anything. Until we know when your trial is going to be, you're probably going to have to keep lying low. I know that must be frustrating for you, though..." She frowned, thinking. "Oh, well, maybe you could come out with me one night." Realizing that she had just asked him out, she added quickly, "I mean... I could bring my other friend, Angelique, who's also an auror, so that it would look like you're out with a Ministry guard. I'm sure it would be OK. What do you think?"

"Oh, yeah, sure. That'd be great. I've been wanting to get out again for a while now. Hopefully with you and your friend there, I won't do anything stupid this time." Tyler said, smiling at the thought that he might get to get out of the confinement of his house again soon. "You know I'm available pretty much any time of any night, so whenever you guys feel up to it... I'll be here..... You said Angelique's an Auror also? I'm surprised I haven't heard the name before." He added, thoughtfully.

"Oh, yeah, Angelique is new in town. She came here from America, where she also used to work as an Auror." She frowned slightly... Angelique was so pretty, what if Tyler liked her? She wondered to herself whether Angelique would be able to bring a date or something. "Oh, and maybe Evangeline could join us, too. We could make it a big group. What kinds of things do you normally like to do? Is there any place you'd want to go?"

"I'll do pretty much anything. Whatever you'd guys like to do is fine." Tyler replied, shrugging. "We could just go somewhere to eat for a little while and then walk around Hogsmeade. Wherever you guys feel like going." He suggested. He would just be happy to get out for a while and meet Cassidy's friends.

"OK," Cassidy said, smiling. "It probably won't be anywhere exciting... maybe the Three Broomsticks, or that new restaurant in town. I'll talk to my friends and see what they want to do. I'm thinking maybe tomorrow night?" She almost asked him if he was available, then remembered that of course he was. "I'll just see when everyone's available and I'll let you know."

"Yeah, OK. That sounds great." Tyler said, smiling back at her. "And I mean- like I said- it really doesn't matter to me where we go, as long as it's away from here. Just hanging around here alone gets real old real fast. So as long as I'm with you and at least out of the house, I'll be happy." He just then realized what it sounded like he meant and quickly added, "Well...I mean, I'd accept just about any company right now after being alone so often. Not that I'm not satisfied to be spending my time with you or that you're just like a last resort or..." He stopped himself from rambling and slowed down. "What I meant is that as long as I'm not alone- I'll be happy. And if I had to choose someone to spend my time outside of the house with, it would be you." He gave a slightly nervous chuckle at how stupid he was making himself sound over a couple small little words he had mistakenly said.

Cassidy blushed. "Oh, I understand completely," she said. "If I were stuck inside my house all the time, I'd be happy to be with anyone who could take me out for a little while." She glanced at the clock on the wall. "Wow... it's really getting late. I don't really want to leave, but I do have some things to do before I go to bed..." She bit her lower lip. The last thing she really wanted to do was go home and go over her papers on Tyler's case. What she really wanted to do was stay here with him... but she couldn't tell him that.

"Oh, uh...yeah. Don't let me keep you. I'm sure you probably have a lot to do." Tyler said, standing up and glancing at the clock. He didn't want her to have to leave, but he knew he was only being selfish by occupying all of her time just so he could have someone to talk to. He tried to think of some excuse for something that he might need to do too so that he didn't seem so pathetically dependent on her to have something to do, but he could sadly think of nothing. "Just...uh...let me know whenever you and your friends decide on a date and time to go out. You know anything works for me." He reiterated.

Cassidy reluctantly stood up. "I'm sorry I can't stay longer... it's just, I do have to work tomorrow... Some more things involving your case." She frowned. "I do wish I could stay longer... But I'll definitely check with the others and see when's a good time for them. I'm really pretty much open anytime, too, so it will probably soon, unless they're busy." She walked toward the door.

"No, it's OK. I understand." Tyler replied with an empathetic smile as he walked over to the door with her. He opened it up for her and looked out at the darkening sky that was filled with the air that it had seemed like he had been denied to breathe. "Just don't work too hard. And if something comes up or you or any of your friends don't think you can do it for a few days, don't worry about it. I'm sure whatever we do will be worth whatever wait that's required." He said, looking back over to her and giving her one last smile as he stared into her glistening eyes.

Cassidy looked at him for a long moment. Somehow, he seemed lost, and she wanted to make him feel better. That was why she had come over tonight, and she hated to think that she had left him feeling the same way he had before she got there. Impulsively, she took his hand and squeezed it for a moment. She wanted to hug him, but she was too nervous. "It's going to be OK, Tyler," she said quietly. "We're going to work this out. You won't be trapped here forever. And I think it'll be fun to go out. Just hang in there, OK?" She released his hand and smiled at him. "It was nice seeing you. I promise I'll see you soon."

Tyler simply nodded in reply, smiling at her as she released his hand. "Thanks, Cassidy...for everything. Really." He added softly. "I'll see you later."

"You're welcome," Cassidy said, smiling. "I'll see you soon." She hesitated a moment, then turned and walked away. She felt as if her heart was pounding in her chest. She didn't want to leave, but the fact that she wanted to stay so much confused her. Why did she feel this way? She took a deep breath and kept walking. But she felt as if she had left a part of herself behind.

Tyler frowned as he watched Cassidy leave. He knew he had just missed a valuable chance to make a move. A chance to finally tell her everything. But he had seemed to have lost the ability to think clearly as soon as she had grasped his hand.
As Tyler closed the door, he felt an aching feeling that he knew was an indication that it was time to return back to reality. He knew he would most likely be seeing Cassidy again fairly soon, but he felt like once she had left he had just become his boring old self who was stuck on house arrest and did virtually nothing day in and day out.
