Cassidy was nervous as she arrived at Tyler's house. She had bought a new blue dress with a neckline and flowing sleeves. She felt elegant and sophisticated in this dress... and entirely too exposed. She kept pulling at the neckline to make sure too much of her chest wasn't showing.
She was going to meet Evangeline, Wesley, and Angelique at the Hot Panini, so right now, she had no one with her for moral support. Her knees were knocking as she walked up the steps and knocked on the door.

Tyler quickly hurried over to the door, eager to see Cassidy again. He had received an owl from her recently, telling him the time and place of their "date" and had dressed up in a nice muggle polo shirt and khaki pants for the occasion. He opened the door and greeted her. "Hey!" His eyes went a little wide as he realized what she was wearing. He had to admit that she looked very pretty, but of course, it might be a little awkward if he told her exactly that. He wasn't even quite sure if this was supposed to be a real date or not. "You look...uh...nice." Tyler commented lamely, blushing noticeably as his eyes seemed to be intently fixed on her.

Cassidy blushed, too, staring down at her dress. "Oh... this old thing," she said, laughing nervously. "It's just... something I had lying around and I never had a chance to wear it... Um... you look... nice, too." She took a deep breath. "So, yeah, we're just going to go to the Hot Panini... Evangeline is going to meet us there with her... um... well, our old friend Wesley. I guess she's sort of seeing him now. And Angelique will be there... not sure if she'll have a date or not."

"OK....Sounds cool." Tyler replied, nodding and trying to act casually. "Should we...uh...walk or apparate?" He asked, finally taking his eyes off of her to check out the weather. Truthfully, it had always bothered him to side-along apparate, but he wasn't quite sure he wanted to walk the entire way to the restaurant alone with Cassidy. Usually, he didn't have a problem talking to Cassidy alone but there was a certain something about the situation that made Tyler significantly nervous. Not to mention every time he looked at her, it seemed like his heart skipped a beat.

"Oh... um, We could walk, if you want," Cassidy said nervously. "I mean, it's not far. And it's kind of a nice night out. Unless you'd rather apparate. It doesn't really matter, I guess..." She bit her lower lip and looked at him shyly. She had no idea what they would talk about duing the walk, and she rather wished Evangeline and the others had come with her.

"Uh...why don't we apparate this time? Just so we don't keep the others waiting if they get there before us or anything." Tyler said, coming up with a valid excuse right on the spot. "Then we could walk home afterwards, if it's OK with you." He added with a smile. He figured they might have something more to talk about after dinner.

"Oh," said Cassidy, exhaling a breath she hadn't realized she'd been holding. "Um, yeah, actually, that's probably a good idea." She was glad she wouldn't need to figure out what to say, but she realized that she would instead have to hold his hand. Her palm was sweating slightly, so she tried to subtly wipe it on her dress. "I guess... let's go then. Are you ready?"

"Yep, whenever you are." Tyler replied. He wasn't sure which he was more anxious about, experiencing the familiar sickening, jerking feeling that came with side-along apparition or the fact that he was going to have to hold on to some part of Cassidy in order to get anywhere. All he knew was that both were most likely going to be equally uncomfortable.

"Um, OK," Cassidy said. She took a deep breath, then reached for his hand. She was slightly breathless as she slipped her hand into his. Calm down, Cassidy, she thought to herself, frustrated. She glanced at him quickly to make sure he was ready, then she apparated to the Hot Panini. She felt the pull behind her navel as they apparated, and a moment later, they stood in front of the restaurant. "Um, OK, here we are..." she said.

Fortunately, Tyler barely had time to feel the effects of the apparition before they had quickly arrived in front of the Hot Panini. He nervously looked down to where their hands joined together and then glanced back up at her before releasing her hand and pulling away slightly. "I still can't get used to that....Side-along apparating and all, I mean." He commented with a nervous chuckle, rubbing his stomach lightly. After a moment, he walked up to the front door of the restaurant and opened it for her. "I wonder if any of the others are here yet."

"Um, I don't know," Cassidy said. "I guess let's go inside and see." She paused to check her reflection in the glass door, hesitating before she pushed the door open and stepped inside.

Tyler slowly followed her into the restaurant and looked around for any sign of any of Cassidy's friends. He didn't really know what any of them looked like, but since the only other people around were conveniently an elderly couple and a group of about five people, he figured they were the first ones there. He picked out a large table in a corner with several chairs around it and walked over to it, sitting in one of the chairs closest to the window. "So how did work go today? Any luck with getting any farther on the case?" He asked, unable to think of anything else to talk about at the moment.

Cassidy sat down just across from him. "I'm afraid I haven't been able to get any more information yet," she said. "But I think they're going to be scheduling the trial soon. I just hope we're going to be ready." She tried to smile, then looked over at the door, hoping that Evangeline and the others would show up soon.

Angelique walked into the restaurant alone, and looked around. She recognized Cassidy, sitting across from a good-looking young man. She smiled to herself and stepped back outside to wait for Evangeline and Wesley.

Evangeline walked up next to Angelique. "I take it Cassidy and Tyler are already in there? I tried to take my time so they could have a little bit of time alone before I walked in there so they would be comfortable," said Evangeline with a smile.

"That's good. I think I can wait a little bit longer." Tyler replied with a smile. "And if there's anything I can do to help you out with preparing for the trial... just let me know. I'm not sure how much I'd really be able to help you with, but...if there is anything, then... you know..." He said, trailing off. He noticed that she seemed to be anxiously waiting for Evangeline and the others to arrive. Even though he didn't really even know them yet, he, too, was hoping that they would show up soon. But he felt like it was his fault that Cassidy seemed so uncomfortable. He wasn't quite sure about what to do or say.

Cassidy smiled. "I'll definitely let you know if I think of anything. I wish I could get at least one of the Death Eaters involved to admit that they put you under the spell, but with that Nathan guy missing and Charles lying to me, it seems like my only other hope is Claudia Morley. And from what I've heard, she's very much out of my league. I don't think I could fight her, and she's not likely to come willingly." She sighed. "People like her are the reason I wonder if I'm really in the right job. I mean, I could never take someone like her."

"Yes they do," said Evangeline. "I just wish Cassidy wasn't so shy and just do something. If she doesn't, or if he doesn't really do anything to let her know if he likes her or not, nothing will ever be done." Evangeline sighed. "Oh yeah, Wesley. He's going to meet us here. He's doing something or another. Why don't we wait for Wes before we go in..... just give them a few more minutes together."

"Yeah, OK, good idea," Angelique said. She looked in at Cassidy and Tyler. "It's a shame they're both afraid to say anything. If they don't start trying to make a move soon, I guess I'll try and have a talk with Cassidy. I'm not someone to ever hold back what's on my mind." She looked back at Evangeline. "So, what's going on between you and my brother, anyway?"
