Discussing [Landon]

[Chloe Owen]

Chloe just cleaned off a few tables from people just leaving and collected tip money. Today had been a really busy day and it just started to wind down, only one couple left in there. Chloe took a seat at an empty table to rest a moment.

[Landon Travis]

Landon had been walking around Hogsmeade and had decided to check out this restaurant that he had somehow never seen before. He walked inside and looked around, figuring he should seat himself. He walked over to one of the tables and sat down behind it, waiting for a waiter.

[Chloe Owen]

Chloe saw Landon walk in and walked over to his table. "You know, a little kid like you shouldn't be wondering around by yourself nowadays," said Chloe. "But what can I get you?"

[Landon Travis]

Landon grinned, "Hey... I didn't know you worked here." He said, surprised. He looked over the menu for a moment and then finally decided. "I think 'll have your roast beef and jack cheese sandwich." He smiled, handing her the menu. "So how's it been going?" He asked, trying to act normally.

[Chloe Owen]

Chloe wrote down the order quickly. "Eh, things have been going okay. What about you? School be treating you alright?"

[Landon Travis]

Landon shrugged, "As right as it could treat me, I guess. Nothing great or anything." He paused for a moment and debated on spilling his secret to Chloe. He figured that if he was going to do it, he should at least wait. "So...um...how's the werewolf business been going? Did you ever catch Greyback?" He asked, keeping his voice down.

[Chloe Owen]

"Eh, the normal so far," said Chloe. "Nothing really new." She wasn't going to tell him about the attack, in detail that is. "All I can tell you is, don't come to Hogsmeade or Diagon Alley on the next full moon. Don't ask about it, just don't come to Hogsmeade or Diagon Alley on the next full moon. And no, we haven't got him. It's near impossible, but we're hoping we can stop him."

[Landon Travis]

Landon looked at her strangely, wondering what was going to happen. "Should I tell my friends then, too?" He asked. "Is it going to put the whole place in danger?" He was being too curious for his own good, but he couldn't help it. He even forgot about what he was going to say in the first place. What could possibly be going on in Diagon Alley or Hogsmeade that would make her want him to stay away from the place? And why was it during the full moon? It obviously had something to do with the werewolves in their transformations. He had to admit, the whole thing kind of worried him a bit.

[Chloe Owen]

"Look, just tell everyone to stay at Hogwarts okay? I'll see if I can't speak to Dumbledore about everyone having a curfew before the sunsets., and the school being locked or something. What might happen could, that's why all the kids need to be safe. Just trust me, okay? I can't really talk anymore of it. I know you probably have a lot of questions, but I just can't answer them," said Chloe.

[Landon Travis]

Landon nodded understandingly. "I understand." He replied, looking down at his feet. "Whatever is happening, just...um...be careful." He said to her, awkwardly.

[Chloe Owen]

"I will," Chloe said giving him a smile. "So, what brought you out here by yourself Landon?" asked Chloe.

[Landon Travis]

"Oh, um...nothing really." Landon lied. "I was just feeling like I needed to get out of the school for a little while and get some fresh air. And I just figured I'd come and get something to eat. I didn't know you worked here..." He said.

[Chloe Owen]

"Yeah, I have to find something else to do rather than just roam the woods," Chloe said with smile. "Well, let me get your order real quick," she said walking off and getting his order. A few minutes later she arrived back at the table with his order. "Here you go Landon."

[Landon Travis]

Landon smiled, "Thanks." He replied, taking the plate, hungrily. But before he began eating, he stopped and thought for a moment. "Hey...Chloe." He called back to her before she left. "Can I...um...talk to you for a second, actually?" He asked, thoughtfully. He couldn't let the moment slip away. He had to tell her.

[Chloe Owen]

Chloe walked back to the table and took a seat across from him. "Of course you can talk to me. I'm always here. What do you need?"

[Landon Travis]

Landon took a deep breath and gulped, suddenly aware of how unusually fast his heart was beating. He opened his mouth to speak, but was quite unsure of what to say. He thought for a moment, feeling strange with the long awkward silence. "Okay, well here's the deal. I met you several days ago when you saved me from that Greyback werewolf in the forest. And I immediately considered you a friend, obviously, since you had saved my life. But then, things quickly..." He paused, trying to find the right word now that his vocabulary seemed to be lost. "...um...changed. I started to kind of see you in a different light." He felt like he was rambling and figured he should just get to the point. "What I'm trying to say is that I really like you for some reason. No offense to you, but I'm not really sure why. I mean, you're pretty and cool with your whole werewolf alter ego thing, but I just have this unusual feeling that I can't explain whenever I see you and stuff. And I know that you probably think that's complete nonsense and just a stupid little crush, but I just thought I should tell you." He finished, looking down at the ground, embarrassed by what he had just told her.

[Chloe Owen]

Chloe smiled at Landon. "Well, Landon, I don't really know what do say. I like you and everything, cause you're a cool kid, but I don't like you like the way you like me. I mean you're too young. I don't mean to sound mean about the whole thing or anything like that, but you understand, don't you?"

[Landon Travis]

Landon looked back up and smiled a bit, "Yeah, I understand. I just thought that I should throw it out there." He shrugged. "Maybe I should try to forget it and we can just be friends, right?" He asked, unsure of what to do now that it would be so awkward every time he saw her.

[Chloe Owen]

Chloe gave him a smile. "Of course we can be friends. And I'm going to tell you like I've told Remus, if you ever need me for anything at all, even just to have someone to talk to or something, just owl me, and I'll be there."

[Landon Travis]

Landon nodded, "Okay, cool." He replied, shortly. "Well, I should probably finish up my sandwich and then go find one of my other friends. I think she was going to go asking Remus about where you usually hang out this time of day for me." He chuckled a little bit as he thought about how desperately he had wanted to get to Chloe. He suddenly realized how stupid he had been. "So, thanks for everything, Chloe." He smiled at her.
