Voltaire had missed talking so often with vincent since his marriage and Vincents' nasty run in with a Vampire. He still hadn't heard all of the details and so he asked Vincent "out". He figured he needed time away from four walls.

Vincent still felt helpless, trapped in the wheelchair. He'd insisted on a muggle-style wheelchair, with the wheels that had to be pushed by hand, because he wanted to feel that he had some control... some movement. He met up with Voltaire and managed a slight smile. "Hey, so how's married life treating you?" he asked.

"Hey! " said Voltaire smiling as he stood up to greet his friend. "Ah my friend, the married life is for me!" he said smiling. "how are you feeling? do you want to tell me how it happened?" he asked as he sat back down as a waitress sweep in and left two glasses of water and a small plate of bread.

"I had a fight with a vampire. I think he was after Emily, not me... one of the Army of Darkness members. He was a pretty big guy, and we fought... I was really doing OK, but he knocked me down and I landed on something that pierced me in the back. They say it's only temporary, but..." he trailed off sadly.

"I'll just have some hot tea thank you." said Voltaire handing her a menu. He wasn't feeling hungry, he really just wanted to take his friend out. "what do you want vinny?" he said jokingly as he picked up his glass of water and took a drink.

"I'll have a coffee, black with two sugars, please," Vincent said. It had been so long since he'd had a cup of coffee, and he was missing his daily trip to Madam Puddifoot's.

Becky nodded and didn't bother to write anything down. "OK, coffee and a tea. I'll be right back to take your order." She walked to the back cheerfully.

"What's going to happen now?" Asked Voltaire as the woman left the table. " How are you coping with this?" he asked concerned about his friend. meanwhile at the door a lilth and dark haired woman entered the resturant and waved down a waitress. "Pardon me miss, But have you at all seen this man?" she asked in a quite and light accent, as she pulled out a picture of a surly looking Voltaire with her at his arm.

"Not well," Vincent admitted. "I'm having some physical therapy with this doctor from St. Mungo's... and I chased Emily away. I had this dream... that I never got better. In fact, I got worse, and Emily was stuck taking care of me... it was horrible. I don't want that to happen. Emily deserves a life." He sighed. "But I miss her..."

Becky stared at the picture. Although the expression was different, the face was the same as her customer. "Um, yeah... actually, he's over there." She pointed at Voltaire.

"thank you!" said the woman as she swayed over to Voltaire as Voltaire said " Vincent you can't leave emily...she's your other half, " he said as a pair of arms wrapped around his neck "VOLTY!" was squealed into his ear and he nearly choked as he realized who it was trying to kill him. His head was pressed to her chest and he gasped out "TAI?"
She giggled and said "I knew you wouldn't forget your leelee! Where did you go to in such a rush? it's been a year since I've last seen you!" she said purring to his ear. He however felt naustated and looked pleadingly at Vincent.

Vincent stared at the woman. She was beautiful, but shrill and annoying. "Um, miss, I suggest you take your hands off of him. Voltaire is a married man. And his wife may well flay you alive if she sees you touching him."

"What?" she said all the shrill sweetness out of her voice. she let go of Voltaire's neck and picked him up by his collar to bring him to her face. "You MARRIED someone? What about me?! what AM I?" she asked her voice hard and cutting. Her head spun with ideas of how a woman could be physically prettier than her and she became livid. Voltaire was thrown off blanace by the apprance of Tai and stammered "wh- what do you mean you?!" he asked bewilered that she would think of herself as anything of his. This only got Tai angrier and she turned to vincent and said
"Who' s the brazen hussy that thinks she can take MY Volty?!" she asked deadly serious about killing whomever.
*don't worry she's a total pushover.*

Vincent shook his head. "I'd seriously back off if I were you. Voltaire doesn't seem all that happy to see you, and Isabella is a very powerful witch. You really don't want to mess with her...."

Voltaire spun TaiLee around and became seriously angry in a cold way. "Don't you dare call her that again, If anything you'd better turn and leave! Go back to the Underground!" he said through gritted teeth.
"What makes you think there is an Underground anymore? It completely went under after you left! AND it was you that convinced me that New England was a good place to relocate to!" she said scathingly.
"what do you mean 'Convince'? I had to talk you out of leaving a month early." he said in the same even tone, to which she shot him a cold glare.

Vincent watched with a mixture of concern and amusement. He realized that it was nice to get out and see people and think about problems other than his own. He didn't really think there was much he could do to help Voltaire, so he just sat there.

"Look pack your bags and shove off Tai!" he said moving her away from him, which infuriated her more in her completely impractical red dress. "Oh no you don't! I have a right to know! Who is she!? it's that Tramp Victoria isn't it?" she said eyes narrowing her red painted nails darting forward to his tie and pushing it closed around Voltaire's windpipe. Voltaire glared and gasped as he felt himself being choked. He made to remove his wallet to show her a picture of his wife, but she slapped his hand away and she said "Don't you dare! I've seen what you could do with a split second do don't think I'll give it!" she said tightening her hold on his neck. He really didn't want to be rude, but if she wasn't going to stop, he was going to slap her.

Seeing the woman choking Voltaire, Vincent pulled out his wand and pointed it at her, then muttered an incantation that would knock her backwards and on the floor. "Get your hands off him, eh?" he shouted. "I'll summon Isabella if that's what you want, and I'm pretty sure she'll do a lot worse to you than I will!"

Tai fell backwards onto her rump and she began to cry, lucky for her she had unsmugable makeup on. Voltaire however choked and coughed and fixed his tie and shirt and said "thank you Vincent...I owe you one" he said glaring at Tai as she picked herself up off the floor. She hastily wiped off her tears and said "I know you've had to of loved me!" and she flew into him and kissed him. Voltaire was so shocked that Tai actually lost composure that his being kissed registered a second later.
