"Well, you know how I like being the center of attention..." Quinn said. "I'll try to stay out of trouble, but it always does seem to find me. Of course, I suppose it might help if I stopped looking for it," she added with a laugh. "I can't help it. I just hate being bored."

Korbel laughed. "Yeah, that would help, a lot," said Korbel. "Although, I suppose that I'm going to be stuck with you, in means of keeping an eye on you, so, I'll try and make sure that you find some kind of fun without being in too much trouble."

Quinn laughed. "Well, this is nice," she said. "If we just go out dancing a lot, that will definitely help keep me out of trouble. I'd rather hang out with you than most people, anyway."

"Well, that's a first," said Korbel with a laugh. "Most of the others want nothing to do with me. They think that I may bring something bad to them, since I got in that fight with a hunter, plus, I'm not that much of a people person."

Quinn shrugged. "Don't even worry about it, Korbel. Most of them like you better than they like me. They all pretty much avoid me. Other than Gretchen, the only ones that will even talk to me are you and Dawn." She twirled around, and looked back at him. "It's OK, though. I expect that. They think I'm too wild and I'll get them in trouble. Whatever. If they want to play it safe and be boring, that's their choice."

"You are too wild and you do get people into trouble," said Korbel. "I'm just kidding. You're not too too wild, and you don't really get people into trouble. It's just they don't want to have any fun, they rather be told what to do and when to do it. I guess that's what makes us different."

Quinn laughed. "We are too much alike, I think," she said. The song ended, and a slow song began. "So? Do you want to just keep dancing?"

"Um, I don't really see why not. I haven't danced to a slow song before, but there is a first time for everything, right," said Korbel.

"Oh, I've danced a few slow dances with boys before," Quinn said, winking at him. The truth was, she had done a lot more than that with a lot of boys. Most of them she had never even seen again. She preferred it that way--no emotional attachments. It was all just in fun. She put her arms around Korbel and leaned her head on his shoulder as they began to move slowly to the music. As they did, Quinn felt herself becoming warm, and not because of the exercise or the temperature in the club. The feeling was exciting, but strange. Quinn wanted to ask him if he felt it too, but decided against it. Instead, she said nothing, just closed her eyes and let herself get lost in his scent.

Korbel had to admit at first, he sort of felt a little awkward, but it melted away after a few seconds. He relaxed from being tense as Quinn rested her head on his chest. He floated along to the music with her and he rested his cheek against the top of her head. Dancing with Quinn wasn't like dancing with other girls, it was more peaceful.

Quinn didn't say anything as they danced to the slow song; somehow it didn't seem necessary. There were no words for what she was feeling, and she didn't know how to describe it. All she knew was that she had never felt anything like it before. She just relaxed and enjoyed the movement of his body next to hers. When the song ended, she pulled away and smiled at him. Keeping her voice casual, she said, "That was kinda nice, huh?"

"Uh, yeah, I guess it was," said Korbel with a smile. "Come on, I need something to drink." He grabbed her hand and took her to the bar and sat down in one of the chairs. "Give me anything, I don't care what it is," he said to the bartender. Once Korbel had his glass, he downed whatever was in it quickly. Whatever it was tasted awful. "Whatever that was, I don't think I want anymore."

Quinn laughed. "Oh, Korbel, she said. She turned and looked at the bartender. "I'll have a firewhisky." She took the glass from the bartender and drank it in one swallow. "Anyway, Korbel, what else is going on? Anything at all?"

"Well, I have a new friend," said Korbel. "She's kind of shy, but she's nice. Other than that, there's nothing really going on. I see you're getting back into your flirting with men."

"A new friend?" Quinn said, looking intrigued. "I wasn't aware you had any old friends." She laughed. "No, just kidding, babe. Seriously, though, this friend... is she a human or a werewolf?"

"Very funny," said Korbel with a smile. "She's a werewolf. She's nice to talk to, because she'll listen to whatever you say."

"What? What was that? Were you talking?" Quinn said, laughing. "Oh, OK, seriously. That sounds nice. It's nice to have someone to talk to. I always only have you and Dawn. How is Dawn, by the way? I've missed her."

Korbel laughed. "Nice," he said with a smile. "Dawn has been good. She's just been going along with the pack like she always had."

"Well, that's cool," Quinn said, leaning against the bar. "I suppose we should probably go soon, but I don't really want to. Is there some place else we can go? I'm getting kinda hungry."

"Well there's a nice place up the road. It's not far at all, and then there's the Three Broomsticks," said Korbel. "Take your pick."
