Bella came out of her daze long enough to realize the man had swept her away from her new friend. She smiled at the stranger, and answered him honestly. "Boredom."

"That would about do it...Boredom can drive one mad if we let it..." Brian turned his head back to the only cloaked figure in the club "Don't you think she sticks out like a sore thumb? she's the only one wearing a cloak in a club, the only one sitting down and the only one with a pad of paper, If I were a reporter, I would try to blend in...that or I must think her glamour charms must be lacking!" he said with a wicked smile.

She giggled at his cruelty, but said nothing. She agreed that Bambi was a bit green, but having never really paid much attention to the Daily Prophet Bellatrix could not say whether her tactics were affective or not. She looked curiously at this mystery man. "I'm sorry but I don't believe we've met before..."

"Oh how rude of me! We've never met." he said untangling his finger from her hair. "But when I saw you from across the room, I knew you, so young...so sweet and viciously mean...It's as if your name just" he made a popping sound by clapping his hands together in a fashion" into my head." he said smiling crossing one arm around his middle then drumming his fingers of his other hand on his chin, the elbow down. " Do you forgive me for being so forward?" he ask politely, really not meaning a word of it.

Um... OK. I'm going to close this thread for a couple of reasons.
First of all, Bambi, you need to rearrange your character's thinking. Your goal should not be solely to ruin people. I like the idea of you being a Rita Skeeter type, but remember Rita Skeeter didn't do what she did simply to ruin people. She was looking for fame and glory for herself. You are a young character, only 18. You shouldn't have already written so many articles as to have ruined enough people that you'd need to hide from them. Instead, you should be young and hungry, looking for that "hot story" that will give you a shot at glory. And if someone gets hurt by what you write, so much the better. But it is not your goal.
And Brian.... you should know better. You just walked up to a character that your character has never met and called her by her first name and became very familiar with her right away. That doesn't make sense. You should have posted as Rodolphus instead.
Now, Bambi, I'm going to ask you to start a new thread all over again, start it here, and let whoever replies, reply. Remember, you're just looking for the story that will advance your career. Ruining people is a side effect--or a side benefit, if you prefer. I think your character has a lot of potential, but I want you to approach it with the right attitude.
