Maddie shrugged. "If that's what you want," she said. She poured another shot for the girl. "So, your boyfriend, the one who dumped you... is he a vampire, too?"

Lucie smiled, ''Your so cute.'' She said and kissed him again.

Jon laughed, "OK, OK! Whatever you say. Want to stay here for awhile longer, or go hang out in the Room of Requirement, or out by the lake for awhile?"

Morgana sniffled. "Yeah, he is. Of course he is. I just... I love him! I guess vampires aren't really supposed to love, but I do. I love him and only him. He knows that, too... or I thought he did. Why is he pushing me away...?"

Maddie shook her head. "Look, guys don't tend to like when the women they love go after other guys. He's obviously the jealous type. I mean, aren't vampires usually kinda temperamental? If he loves you, it must kill him to see you kissing other guys. Think about it--how would you feel if he was kissing another girl?"

Morgana thought about it for a minute. She remembered how she had felt when he had kissed Ashley. "Pretty lousy, I guess," she admitted. "I guess... I guess I should just find another way, huh?"

"Yeah, good plan," Maddie said. "You should give him a little time to cool off, and yourself time to sober up, and then you should talk to him. If he really loves you, he'll forgive you."

Morgana took another drink from the shot glass. "That makes a lot of sense," she said. "You're pretty smart. Or did the fish thing in the corner tell you to say all that?"

Maddie nearly jumped. "Wh-what? What do you mean, the fish thing in the corner? Why would that tell me to say anything? It doesn't talk...."

Morgana shrugged. "Everyone's seen you talking to that thing." She finished the shot glass. "Can I have another?" She pushed the empty glass toward Maddie.

Maddie shrugged and refilled the girl's glass. "I have no idea what you're talking about. I don't talk to the fish. Only crazy people do that." She knew full well that the vampire girl was not convinced, and if anything, all she was doing was making herself look even more crazy. But she couldn't bring herself to admit that she talked to inanimate objects. Her only hope was that this girl was even dumber than she seemed.

Morgana drank a large gulp from the shot glass. "You can say what you want, but we've all seen it. Some people even try to get the fish to talk themselves. Seriously, is it just that, or is it all fish? I know some people can talk to snakes, so I guess it wouldn't be that unusual to talk to fish..."

"I don't talk to fish!" Maddie said. She frowned and walked away. The girl asked entirely too many questions. She was not in the mood to discuss talking inanimate objects with a vampire. But just then, the fish spoke again. "No more drinks for her," it said. "Shut up!" Maddie yelled at the fish. She decided it was time for her break and she stalked into the back room.

Morgana watched this and shrugged. "She's weird," she said. She finished her third drink and dropped a few coins on the table. She didn't really care if it was the right amount.
