Cassie nodded, grinning, "Well, not officially but they looked pretty cozy dancing together."
Mara nodded, wondering what Keira was talking about, "Is that girl a Vampire?" she asked, curiously eyeing Cassie. She tilted her head, "Huh. Anyway, where are you going tomorrow?"

Keira laughed. "Well then. It's been what, over two hundred years, and they are finally getting 'cozy'?" she said laughing. "My gosh. Yes Mara, Cassie is. She's not as bad as they come though. Cassie is probably one of the only vampires I can actually get along with okay, and she's pretty much level headed." she said shrugging. "Oh, well, I'm taking a trip tomorrow. Uh, it's necessary, and uh, yeah. I've gotta go on the trip tomorrow wither I like it or not, it's sort of on a job, so yeah."

"Oh, okay, have- well- have some fun anyway. Don't get too caught up with work," Mara told Keira. Mara looked toward Cassie and nodded, "Nice to meet you Cassie. I'm Mara."
Cassie nodded at the girl, "Um- nice to meet you Mara. hey, listen, if a guy named Evan starts talking to ya, I suggest you run away," she told Mara. As much as she loved her blood, she didn't wish for everyone to be sucked dry.

Ashley grinned ''I wouldn't do anything...'' She said, she wanted him to do whatever he wanted to do to her.

Charles grinned at Keira. "Thanks for the tip, love," he said. He looked at Cassie. "Sorry to disappoint you, but I'm not interested in being your next meal." He put a hand on Keira's arm. "Mind if we have a seat so we can talk?"

Morgana stood in the middle of the dance floor for a long moment, her jaw gaping open in outrage. A werewolf! Well, that certainly explained the odd vibes he'd been giving off. But how dare he humiliate her and leave her alone on the dance floor! And she'd even let Cassie have a shot at the blonde guy! Furiously, she stalked back over to where Cassie was. She was so angry she barely even noticed that Keira was standing there next to the blonde guy. "Cassie, you won't believe it! The odd guy... he's a werewolf!"

Keira raised her eyebrow as Morgana came up, then she looked up at Charles. "Yeah, sure. Let's sit." she said walking to a table and sitting down. "What do we need to talk about?"

Evan grinned slightly. "So if I walked up behind you, like this, you wouldn't object?" he asked walking up behind her. "Nor if I moved your hair away from your neck, like this, and kissed it once. It wouldn't bother you?" he said doing every thing he said. "Or if I bit you?" he said sinking his teeth into her neck. He drank, but he didn't drink every bit of blood, he left some to keep her alive. "Now drink from my wrist." he said biting his own wrist and putting it up to Ashley's mouth. "Of course if you want to die, then don't drink, but I suggest if you want to live, drink."

"Yeah, there's really no alpha or whatever in the human world. I mean, sometimes there are leaders or people with authority, but they usually are chosen by the people they lead, and the laws are pretty much agreed upon by everyone. When they disagree, people are allowed to speak up about their different opinions. Humans don't just follow blindly, they have a choice and are allowed to believe whatever they want." He frowned thoughtfully and took a sip of his drink, which he had abandoned when he went off to mess with the vampire. "What do men want from women? Well, I guess it sort of depends on the guy. I mean, some guys just want to... fool around. You know, um... mate... but not to stay with them. Others are looking for someone they can love and spend their lives with... and maybe raise their children." "So some males want only to mate? what about...well the results of such matings? they leave their mate alone?" the idea of this outraged pearl, what kind of low class beast left the mother of their children! "And human females...they endure that kind of base treatment? is that what you'd want from me? to be a base classed female?" she was getting worked up now. that wasn't exactly what she expected humans to be like, if to be human was enough to make Zander want to be human, why would he want to be that way? it was very confusing to say the least!

"Oh, nothing in particular, love, I was just looking for an excuse to get away from all the vamps," Charles said. "That and I really wanted to be alone with you. I was hoping you'd be here tonight, so I could have some time with you before you go off with Tiddler." He found an empty table and pulled out a chair for her to sit.

"Ah." said Keira. "Well, I figured that I should have a night of fun before I have to go anyway. I'll be doing nothing but work then, so I figured I should make up for it tonight." she said shrugging and taking a sit that he had pulled out.

Zander shook his head. "No, only some guys are like that. But I think that more of the guys are really looking for someone they can spend their lives with. It's called love. Most humans, I think, are looking for that where ever they can find it. It's just that sometimes they look in the wrong places and wind up getting hurt. But when--or if--they find someone that they can truly love, someone they want to have a family with, and stay with forever... it's the sweetest feeling in the world. Or so my sister Athena used to say. She found true love... but her husband was killed. Since then, she kind of been withdrawn from the rest of the family."

"Love? so you are looking for love? What's that like? I honestly never heard of Fenrir speak of any kind of emotions like that! He said the best thing one could feel is making others, to make 'children' he calls us." she said now she was curious, would she have been in love now if she wasn't a werewolf?
((she doesn't know what she's feeling, she's been in the dark about emotions))

He frowned. How could he explain love to someone who not only had never experienced it, but had never even heard of it? "Love... Love is... It's caring more about another person than about yourself. Wanting to do anything to make that person happy. It's wanting to be with that person always... to hold them close and kiss them... When you love someone, being with that person makes you feel good inside. Um... does that make sense?"

Pearl sat back and thought about it. All that seemed terribly familiar, she had never acted on any of those impluses though, until now of course, now she wanted to change that. suddenly her heart ached, she knew what love was! It made her very sad that she had never realized it before, she also felt panicked, what should she do now that she knew? she wasn't going to tell Zander of Fenrir! that was totally out of the question. she sat forward again and tried to continue as if she hadn't had such a large revelation. "is it that simple? is it like magic? where you do it and it is so?" she asked in a little less egar voice.

Zander thought about it. "Well, there are different kinds of love. There's the love between a parent and child, the love between a man and a woman, there's love that you just keep inside because no matter how much you want it, you can never be with the one you love..." he sighed, thinking about Lucie. His feelings for her were getting stronger. He didn't know if he loved her, but he knew he cared about her very much and it worried him. He couldn't be with Lucie. Even if he wasn't a werewolf, she had been Ian's girlfriend. If Ian had lived, she probably would have married him. And he'd only been dead a few months now... it would have been very wrong for Zander to move in on his dead brother's girlfriend... "That's called unrequited love. That kind of love... well, it hurts like hell. And there's not a thing you can really do about it. But when it's between two people, they still have to work at love. They have to communicate with each other and be honest with each other and share everything. And if you can find true love like that... it's the best thing in the world. Again, I've never felt it... I'm just going with what Athena told me."

Pearl was very sad. "That sounds terrible!" but then again she was already feeling what he discribed. so it really wasn't his fault... she shook her head and said "is that all it takes to be human? to know love?" she was really at a loss of what else to say. "Do humans fight over one another? I know that some alpha's fight over younger members to mate with, Fenrir has never done it, but there was this pack to the south of us that did challge him to a fight over a man that had been made, she really wanted him!" she said almost blurting it out.

Zander nodded. "Yeah, humans fight over each other all the time, actually. They fight over all kinds of things, not just other people. They fight over possessions, over ideas, over... well, just about anything, really. I guess in that way, humans aren't much more civilized than werewolves. Loving another person isn't the only thing that makes a person human, but it's a big part of it."

"But Zander, We werewolves haven't been in an active state of war in ...i think we are going on two centuries now! I myself have never had to fight over food or over something i thought... what makes being human so much more appealing? is it because they don't have the need to go and be an extension of nature every month?" she needed to know why he found her, himself, so replusive.
