"I seem to recall saying that I loved you, too. And I begged you not to leave me. You were the one who walked out, as I remember it," she said. She planted a kiss on his nose.

"But then again you did say that you didn't need me, but never mind! We are not going over that!" he said kissing her suddenly.

"But I didn't mean it! I was hurt!" she said, kissing him back. "It doesn't matter, of course... Let's just never fight like that again, OK, cuddlemuffin?"

Voltaire couldn't help it, he stared to giggle, then it bloomed into laughter. "Love, I'll never say I'll change sides again ever!" he said snickering. "Sugglebunny" he added and laughed again and kissed her.

She laughed, too. "Snugglebunny? Do you see what you've turned me into? I used to hex people who called each other silly names like that, just to shut them up. Now I've become one of them." She kissed him deeply. "And I wouldn't want it any other way..."

"Oh I know! I can't believe i'm your CuddleMuffin, jeez it's hard even saying that!" he said looking down and laying his head on her chest "Maybe we do deserve a little hexing...how about we stick to Love and honey?" he asked hopefully.

She closed her eyes and held him tight. "Voltaire," she said suddenly, "you didn't just take me back because of the baby, did you?"

"WHAT?! No of course not!" Voltaire said indignatly, " I don't need to marry you or even so much as love you to have children with you! But the fact of the matter is, that I do, and always will love you, the fact that you carry my child only makes me proud" he said seriously. "It's true, I have my sense of honour, but entering any kind of marriage out of duty isn't something I'd ever do." he said kissing just over her heart.

"OK, just checking," she said. "I just... that was why I was afraid to tell you about the baby. I wanted you to take me back, but I didn't want it to be because of the baby." She sighed. "What would you have done if I hadn't said I was switching sides?"

"I would of offered to raise the baby. The baby deserves a chance to be something other than what you were and i was" he said truthfully, shifting a little on his seat.

She thought on that for a moment. "If I had really been the person I thought I was before... I would have let you take it. I wouldn't have wanted the baby. The baby was part of why I changed my mind, though. Because I wanted better for our child." She kissed him. "It's strange, isn't it? How we met each other because of hate, but found love instead?"

"would that make us Ironic?" he said laughing. " I thought the very same thing, but then again, being on the side that we were, we were also torn apart" he said sagely. "You know a heard a man say once 'People, chained by monotony, afraid to think, clinging to certainties... they live like ants.' maybe that was us before" he said kissing her again.

"I guess it is pretty ironic," Isabella said. "That saying definitely describes me before. But you... it's hard to picture you chained by monotony. That's the last word I'd use to describe you." She began playing with his hair.

"A routine is a routine, But for me it was more about my frame of mind. I changed a good deal about how i think about the world, it took me a long time to realize it." he said leaning his head towards her hand. he liked having his hair played with.

Isabella kept playing with his hair. "Honestly, I guess I knew all this was coming when we started to get close. Even though you knew how to handle those people, you never seemed evil to me. You had too much love in you. I mean, look at the way you protect Anna and Rori. And they worship you. I never had anyone to love me... not until now. I had nothing to lose. Now I do." She pulled him closer and kissed him.

"Mmm, I had spent so much time away from them, I thought maybe they would of forgotten me." he said his eyes shut, still enjoying the feel of Isa's hands in his hair. "Maybe i just thought I could be, I started out with ill intent, but i know i would of never of been able to keep doing it." he smiled and added "When i saw you, i knew there was more to you than that cold smile, it only made me want to know you more, that was your big mistake!" he said opening his eyes and grining.

"The cold smile was not meant to intrigue you, it was supposed to put you off. Funny how it did the opposite." She leaned against his shoulder and sighed. "I'll never know how you got through to me, but I'm glad you did. Other people tried, you know. But only you were able truly reach me."

Voltaire chuckled when Isa said the cold smile was supposed to put him off. "I don't know how I did it either, I thought a few times that you were going to hex me, I expected it, but you never did. the first time you let it slide I thought maybe you were building up to something, but the second time you never did, So I got cocky." he said grining "I'm glad i was first, and last" he said and cuddled her.

She kissed him. "You made me smile and laugh. No one else was ever able to do that. That's why I fell for you. The only thing I can quite figure out is why I let you get that far in the first place." Pulling back, she ran her fingers through his hair again. "Not that it matters anymore, anyway. All that really matters is that we're together now."

"Maybe it was because I was Irresistible and dashing, I did my razor blade trick and everything!" he said grinning at the memory. " Either way, I got you love so I'm happy with that and our lovely turn of events!" he liked having Isa in his lap, "You know you should do this more often, a guy can get used to it" he grinned.
