Edward was so shocked by the kiss it was like his brain had forgot how to work. He hadn't been kissed like that since his ex in Hogwarts.

Quinn smiled. "So you liked that, did you?" she said. "You're OK, Ed. You're even kinda cute. I think we can definitely party sometime. But about this werewolf thing... I don't think you know what you're asking for in wanting to fight one. Bears are one thing... but werewolves are another."

"But you know, a werewolf is a human most of the time," Quinn pointed out, reaching up and playing with the collar of his shirt. "And really, when the moon isn't full, chances are, you wouldn't be able to tell who is a werewolf and who isn't. I mean, for all you know, I could be one."

"But if you hurt the werewolf, you'll hurt the human," Quinn said. "And if the werewolf bites you... you'll be one yourself." She curled one hand around his neck and looked up at him, her dark eyes fluttering innocently. "I'm sure you're very brave and strong... in fact, I'd love to watch you fight some time. But you really should be ready for the consequences of fighting a werewolf."

Quinn noticed where he was looking and laughed. "Oh, I'm glad to know you enjoy the view down there, but I'm up here, babe," she said, pointing to her face. She put her finger under his chin and lifted his face to meet her eyes, then playfully kissed his nose. "Do you fight with magic, or weapons, or just your bare hands?" she asked.

"Wow," Quinn said, raising her eyebrows at him. "How very noble of you. But you know, the animals have teeth and claws, and you don't have those. It's one thing to fight a bear or a wolf that way--it's crazy, but you can do it. But to fight a werewolf with your bare hands... that's just asking to be bitten."

Suddenly, her expression hardened. "And why do you want to kill a werewolf? Do you hate werewolves? Do you think they deserve to die? Or are you just looking for a cheap thrill and figure no one will notice if there's one less werewolf around?"

Quinn relaxed a little and ordered another drink. "Hey, just checking," she said. "There are a lot of people out there who do want to hunt and kill werewolves. And it so happens I know that werewolves aren't all as bad as some people would have you believe. Most werewolves are just looking to live their lives like everyone else and don't really want to be bothered. That's what I've heard, anyway," she added, taking a sip of her drink.
