Cassidy smiled and took a sip of her butterbeer. "Thanks, Evangeline. I feel a little better about this. So... tell me more about this guy? Tristan? What does he do? How'd you meet him?"

"Well, Tristan's a doctor at St. Mungo's," said Evangeline. "And I met him in the Hog's Head one day after work," she added.

"Oh... no, I can't dance... I'll just look silly," Cassidy said. "And I... I can't talk to guys. You know how I get... all nervous and babbly. I just start running off at the mouth and stop making sense and the guys just run the other way. I even had a hard time not doing that with the guy whose case I'm working on..."

Cassidy took another sip of beer. "I don't know, Evangeline... It's just so intimidating. I mean, did you go up to this guy, or did he come up to you? Would you have had the nerve to go up to him if he hadn't? I just don't want them to laugh at me..."

"He came up to me," said Evangeline. "But I would probably have had the nerve too," she said. "Don't care what they think. If they do laugh, we could always hex them," Evangeline said with a smile. "Although, I seriously doubt that they would laugh at you."

"Well... I guess if you can do it, then I can try, maybe," Cassidy said shyly. "But.. not tonight. I kind of like just hanging out, just the two of us. But oh, maybe sometime soon, you could introduce me to Tristan. It's just too bad we can't double-date or anything."

"I know," Cassidy said. "Why is that? It's not like I'm so busy with work or a social life or anything." She sighed. "I just hope I do well on this case. Not just because maybe I'll finally get noticed at work and be able to do more than just be a glorified secretary. But also because of him. He's really nice. I can't imagine how helpless he must have felt, doing those things and having no control over his actions."

Evangeline nodded. "I know you will do well on this case. You always did well in school. Just treat this as a school assignment, and you're going to get graded on what you're doing. It could take some of the pressure off."

"Oh, I don't know," Cassidy said. "Oh, I saw some nice clothes in a shop around the corner. Muggle-style dresses and pretty tops. I don't care what anyone says, muggles dress much better than we do. Don't you think? Robes are just so... ordinary."

"I agree. I prefer muggle clothing to robes. Although, I have to wear the robes to work. It feels like I'm weighted down in robes," said Evangeline. "And I do happen to need a few new outfits."

"Yes, I wear the robes to work, too... but I can never find ones that don't make me look fat. I much prefer the muggle clothes. So, lets go check the store. I'm sure you'll want to buy some pretty clothes, so you'll look nice for Tristan," Cassidy said with a smile. She sighed. "And maybe if I have something nice and I know I look good, I'll feel more confident."
