Character Name: Rita Skeeter

Appearance:
- Brief Description:Rita is not someone you confide things to, and you can tell that just by looking at her. Her appearance may be cute and fairly harmless with youth. But theres an distrusting, prying aura about her than encourages any people-reader to cut the conversation short. She tends to wear bright greens, yellows, and reds, or just solid black if she's not forced into her school uniform.
- Eye Color: bright green
- Hair (color, length, style): white-blond, short, and straight.
- Skin Tone: Very pale, like that of someone who sneaks about in the shadows.
- Height: 4'5"- short for her age, but nothing too out of the ordinary.
- Body Type:Rita is a tiny, thin thirteen-year-old girl, who is quite different than what she appears. With quick feet and fingers, Rita has the ability to sneak most anywhere.

Classes
- Best/Favorite Classes: Divination; because she can make up the tallest tales possible, and get away with it, even impress her professor with her knowledge of the vast unknown! Rita also has a natural knack for transfiguration. Surpsisingly, she is also quite skilled at Arithmacy, though she hates the professor and generally, anyone else who takes the class. Years of being cheated into all her other sisters' math homework does that to a girl, but she also mildly enjoys it. Though, she'd never admit it.
- Worst/Most Hated Classes: Potions, COMC, DADA, school in general... everything else...
Strengths:
- Rita's best subject, were it an offered class, is gossip. She can get any information anywhere about anyone. With an excellent way with words, she'll make you believe it. Even if you know better, you'll think twice after you've read Skeeter's work.
- Sneaky is an excellent word for Rita. She's almost buglike, the way her eyes widen with juicy information, and she'll be there and gone before you even realize it.
- Knowing how to get along with other nasty people is a skill that young Rita has already developed. If someone wants dirt on another, Rita is allllllll over it. And in such a case, the youngest Skeeter will always meet her end of the deal.
Weaknesses:
- Unfortunatley for her, Rita has the attention span of a fly when it comes to anything other than what she wants. She simply doesn't care about things that she percieves as not immediately affecting her. But she can get away with scraping Acceptables, because Daddy dear believes her when she pleads that her teachers "just dont love me as much as you do, Daddy!"
- Boys don't like bossy, coniving girls like Rita. So, needless to say, they don't like her. Thus leaving Rita almost perpetually alone. Rita takes out her by gossiping until every happy couple around her turns on each other, and she laughs while they break each other's hearts over such easily made up, fickle lies.
- Rita Skeeter is one of the most dreadful loosers you'll ever meet. Even worse than most Slytherin, her own age or even half her age. She will do anything to get back at someone, and most often get away with it too.
Personality: Rita is a coniving, spoiled brat. And that's putting it nicely. Rita has a way of getting what she wants regardless of anything though, mainly distraction. The best part for her and the worst part for the rest of the world, is that she doesn't care as long as she makes a headline, so to speak. There's no getting around it, the gossiping Skeeter will find something out- a picture, the end of a conversation- and embellish it until it's a ragged, warped, bruised, and beaten version of the truth. And if she wants someone to like her, she'll use the same means to hurt as to endear. She'll lie about herself, make you feel terrible for her. And if that doesn't work, she could always tell the everyone you know that you shunned her with no reason! If she can't be your friend, she'll garuntee no one else will. On the other hand, if you buy her lovely stories, and have the stomach for it, you've just made a very powerful ally in the world of gossip. The young Skeeter has an inclination toward her fellow Slytherin, though she doesn't necessarily get along with all of them or like them. Everyone pales in comparison to her own excellence, naturally. Talking her way in and talking her way out no matter how detestable it may end up... are the stratagies that Rita Skeeter lives by. Always has, and always wil.

- Siblings: Rita has four older sisters. Anastasia, Brigita, Druella, and Olive. All of them were soul-deep Slytherins, each more coniving that the one before, just to out do the other. This is were she gets her gossipy tendencies- she could never get at any of her older sisters any other way but, as the youngest, to tell on them! And though her mother was skeptical, she was always Daddy's favorite little girl!

History: Rita grew up with four older sisters, and a mother who loved them all more than her! At least, this is what she percieved. Before Hogwarts, she used to get into much too much trouble, said her stern mother. Because apparently, turning her sisters against one another and turning muggles green wasn't 'okay.' But Rita exerted this power because it was the only kind she had. And Daddy dear is the only one Rita ever had!
Oh yes, Rita caused havoc. Her two older sisters, Druella and Brigita, fell in love with boys, Charles and Bryon. Well, Rita couldn't have that. So she framed Bryon with Druella and Charles with Brigita... and violence runs in the family. At the time, all four were in almost crazy with uneven hormone induced personalities even to start with. Charles is now dead, Brigita and Bryon are now in St. Mungo's asylum, and Druella got away mostly sane but now resides in Azkaban's level for minors. It was then Rita learned the true gossiping power she held. Mother was always skeptical, but Daddy believed in the innocence of his little girl. As for her two other sisters, Anastasia steers clear of her and Olive ceased to be her doppleganger after the incident. But that's just fine, she never needed them anyways.
So when she arrived at Hogwarts, she was sorted into her house and instantly pulled out her brand new, tall green quill. Frantically, she began taking notes on who was doing what. All for gossip material. And Rita Skeeter is only getting better at it every day.

Her patronus is/will a beetle, as will her animagus form. However, she won't get started working on that until her third of fourth year.
Also, 'skeet' is Anglo-Saxon for 'gossip.' 0.o Oh JKR, how u do it?!?! :)
