Do you solemnly swear that you are above the age of 13?18, actually.
What is your past experience in roleplaying? I haven't done an rpg for quite some time, so the only one I can find from when I used to (that hasn't been deleted) is Golden Dawn where I was Dominique Weasley four years ago. Now I also, however, play Molly Weasley on Hogwarts Magic.
How did you hear about us? I was googling for a Marauder's Era proboards, and this was the most active one I found.

ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER
Character Name: Alayna Måne Farbright
Character Age: seventeen
Year: seventh year
Preferred House: Ravenclaw
Best Classes: Care of Magical Creatures, Divination, Astronomy, Potions, & Charms. Alayna is very open minded, and can stretch her imagination endlessly. Thus, though her Diviniation may not be all that accurate, she definatley has the mind for it. Charms and Astronomy she excells at for mostly the same reason- they're fairly simple and something Layna acually employs. She loves charting stars and the Snarkleemdigs she believes rest amoung them, and like all magic folk, she used charms all the time. But most of all, she loves Care of Magical Creatures to learn as much as she can about known creatures so that someday she'll be able to prove the existance of even more. Alayna enjoys potions and experimenting with them with notable enthusiasm, but rarely scrapes and 'Acceptable' in the class due to the frequency of her explosions. She knows the recipies and instructions by heart, but it would definately do her some good if she actually followed them.
Worst Classes: DADA, Dueling, & most of all, Arithmacy. Alayna has a difficult time following guidelines and rules like what Arithmacy has, and is not in the least someone to do offensive or even defensive spells. For this reason, she merely floats through those classes and pursues what she loves best.

- Eye Color: Alayna has foggy blue-gray eyes with a distant twinkle.
- Hair (color, length, style): Alayna has white-blonde hair that, if she let down, would fall to her mid back in messy waves. But usually, it's up in a messier still bun, to keep her hair out of her face and eyes.
- Skin Tone: Pale, very pale. Which is misleading, especially considering the amount of time she spends outside.
- Height: 5'3".
- Body Type: Alayna is very slender, but she wears layers of odd clothes that hide and sometimes distort her figure. When she was younger she wore much thicker, even more mismatched clothes but since about sixteen she's worn more drapy and flowy attire. Yet, she matches just as poorly as always.

Quirks/Habits:
- Alayna loves to wear earrings of miniature fruit. Pears, apples, and kumquats are her favorites. Other jewlery choices inclued the occasional cork to keep away Nargles, a turquise dream catcher necklace or earring set, or even a bracelet made of daisies twined around her wrist for good luck. Another mildly strange necklace is one consisiting of a line, within a cirlce, within a triangle. Though due to some common misconceptions, it isn't worn very often.
- If you see Alanya batting the air around her head, she's probably not swatting at flies, but at what she believes are several small creatures attempting to enter her mind through her ears.
- In an instant, Alayna will jump topics to something most witches and wizards have never even heard of. Or else, go into excruciating detail about a potion or creature right down to the amount of hair on its head, or drops of plimpie juice to create it.

Personality: Alayna is very much her mother's daughter. Having grown up with her mother's influence and yet her father's realism, Alayna learned that she needed to discover but also proove. This is her focus, this is why she always seems so far away and doesn't heavily distract herself with friends. Her pursuit is knowledge and that's why she spends so much time and energy into learning and discovering. But she also knows that there's no time limit, and that her pursuit is a leisurely art. It will come when it will, but that doesn't mean to not look.
When spoken to, Alayna sometimes makes perfect sense and can tell you what you really need to hear, that no one else will say. But most of the time she'll make off the wall comments, though such ideas will be perfectly in line with her own train of thought.

History: Alayna has alwayas been close to her family in different ways. Her father Lorcan is stern and inflexible, very set in his ways. Alayna and her sister Adåra are fraternal twins and both love their father very much, but Adåra follows Lorcan's footsteps in reasoning and outlook. Oriana, Alayna's mother, is always creating new ideas and sharing them with Alayna. At night, Oriana would sit in Alayna and Adåra's room and tell stories of the creatures she would discover, creatures she had already discovered, creatures that existed, and creatures she made up just for fun. Despite Adåra's logical focus, she too would listen intently and loved the stories just as much as Alayna.
When Alayna was five, her family moved out into a field at her mother's bequest. Since her father's new job required him to be away for weeks at a time as a supervising St. Mungo's healer, the commute back and forth was of little concern. After all, what is Apparation for? Oriana was always a stay at home mother. By the age of eight the Farbright sisters knew the grounds like the back of their hand, and by age eleven they were both off to Hogwarts to become star pupils of their House.
By her third year Alayna found her callings in Care of Magical Creatures and Potions, and has since taken all the classes to focus on careers in those two places.
Now Alayna is coming onto her final year of Hogwarts and is set right on to take a trip to the Galapagos Islands following her graduation to search for undiscovered magical creatures, and care for as many as she can.

Sirius says:
It was a beautiful, sunny day at Hogwarts, and classes were in session. So of course, Sirius Black was sitting by the lake, whistling to himself and skipping stones along the surface of the water. He was cutting class, which was no surprise, but he was also alone, and that was unusual. For once, he did not have his ever-present companions, James, Remus, and Peter by his side. But even alone, no one would think he was anything but confident and comfortable with himself.
He tossed another thin, flat rock, and watched as it skimmed the surface, bouncing once, twice, three times, before the Giant Squid, seemingly annoyed by the disturbance, reached out one long tentacle and pulled the stone into the water.
Sirius laughed to himself, then leaned back against the tree, allowing the warmth of the sun to relax him. He slowly began to drift, and had nearly dozed off when he heard a voice above him.
And then Alayna says:
A pleased smile teased up the corners of Alayna's face as she skipped along the side of the lake. Having finished and perfected her Potions exam early, the Professor and let her leave almost an hour early. Twenty or so pins, baubles, and buttons clinked together in rythm with her jaunt on orange and blue bag spotted bookbag. She enjoyed the gentle warmth of the sun and was toying with the idea of staying outside to look over her Potions book once more, when she became distracted by some ripples in the lake. Alayna's eyes traced the source of the ripples across the lake. From a quarter mile or so away, she saw a rock skip across the water and irritate a Tentaculous Larckfiner. It had to be a Larckfiner- what other fish came in such a size?
Alayna spent some time mentally going over the various other breeds of Larckfiner her mother had explained, and soon enough she was right behind the cuplrit of the oversized squid's attacker. Who so happened to be Sirius Black, and he was laughing. Alayna wondered what his reasoning was for throwing a rock in such a way. A frown tugged down the corners of her face as she said in a curious voice "Whatever inspired you to bother a Larckfiner in such a way? Are you allergic to shellfish?"
Anything else? In case you haven't guessed, she's Luna Lovegoods Mom-to-be! :) I tried to make her very much her daughter's mother, but at the same time an individual character.
