Grayson is very much like Alexander Cross, for those of you who know who that is. He’s worked at the agency for a long time and is “retired” after a case that got too personal to him. He is now referred to as one of the most brilliant minds in the industry. He has written several textbooks on detective work, and he is constantly sought after for help in cases, but he is never really allowed on the case. It bothers him more than he admits but he is often time happy to help. Most of this hides a lonely man underneath all of his intelligence that keeps him separate from many people.
History:
Grayson was a child prodigy, no matter what he did he quickly gained efficiency at it. He can play almost any instrument, conduct financial affairs with aplomb, and play any sport moderately well. He is an excellent writer, and reads anything he can get his hands on. His parents were shocked when he went into the detective field. He could have been anything he wanted to be, but he wanted to solve murders. Of course he graduated at the top of his class and when he went into detective work he was immediately one of the best.
Then because of his notoriety and his skill in bringing down criminals, those criminals decided to bring him down. They kidnapped his wife and daughter, and taunted Grayson to find them. When he did it was too late. He has never fully recovered. His cases then started to suffer and he was pulled off the force, of course he was honored, and is still respected as one of the best minds in the detective field today.
