Voldemort fumed at his premature departure from his headquarters. He came to an abandoned mansion north of the country, There he quickly set up to make it a new Head Quarters. He summoned a black owl and wrote in his spidery script an invitation for one Bellatrix Black and Lucius Malfoy to join him in his company, the letter was their port key to activate as soon as they left wards of the school. He went to the large open French doors of the mansion and cast the owl into the air, there it nearly evaporated from site, propelled by dark magic to it's addressee

Bellatrix had been staring at the same page in her book for nearly twenty minutes, taking in absolutely none of the information it contained. She was glad that term had come to an end and as she sat on her usual drab spot near the lake she let her mind wander. She hadn't spoken with Rodolphus in a few days and was once again replaying their latest argument in her head.
She was so entwined in her thoughts that she didn't even notice the large black owl soaring straight for her. It wasn't until it landed with a great 'thud' on the pebbles to her right that she looked up, quirking an eyebrow at the creature. She saw it was carrying a letter and relieved the bird of it. The owl hooted loudly, breaking the silence that surrounded Bellatrix with an eery cry. She tore open the letter and read it's contents, then stood quickly, dropping the book that had been in her lap to the ground. She had not seen Lucius all day, and after a quick search of the dungeons she still could not find him. Probably off somewhere snogging Narcissa, she thought bitterly. She shrugged and headed down the drive that led to Hogsmeade where she would be able to transport herself to the You-Know-Who.
She felt a tug at her stomach and was pulled forward into a spinning vortex which dropped her onto the ground outside a large mansion. Righting herself, she dusted her long red dress off and headed up the walk to the house. Once inside she found a tall, dark man and instantly bowed her head.

"Ah, Bellatrix! Radiant beauty, I'm very glad you accepted my invitation. Where is Mr. Malfoy?" he asked charmingly. He was always charming with his new recruits, it only cemented their loyalty to him. The room was now furnished in ornate and plush furniture. a warm Oriental rug was nearly the size of the room and there was a fire in the grate of the front parlor's fireplace.

She raised her head at being addressed by the man and smiled sweetly at him as he complimented her looks. She loved it when men did that. "A thousand pardons sir, but I was unable to locate him. Last I saw him he was rather off-color." She giggled at her play on words and bit her lip.
Her head wanted her to glance about the room, taking in all that surrounded her. But her eyes paid no attention and looked over the great wizard she had heard about so often. She felt a shiver run down her spine as the realization that she was standing mere feet from the Dark Wizard actually set in.

"Well then never mind, I'm sure a young woman such as you're self could accomplish my request. You see, not long ago, I was betrayed. I must exact my revenge shouldn't I?" he asked the girl as he led her to the parlor to sit down. Once they were seated he conjured some tea and handed her a cup of tea.

She listened intently to the man's vague scenario and questioning. "Betrayed, my Lord? Why, I very well say you must!" She was astonished that anyone would dare betray such a noble, upstanding man as the one before her.
She followed him into the parlor and sat, taking the teacup he offered her. "Thank you, sir." She rarely forget her manners, and was doubly sure to check herself in the presence of greatness. She took a small sip, setting the cup back onto the saucer and holding it daintily. She was anxious to hear more of this betrayal, and the reason he had summoned her today.

"I'm glad you agree. You see, your very own professors Isabella Rothschild and her Husband Voltaire were the very one's that betrayed me. They abandoned my noble cause to sustain a relationships to weak fools that oppose me." he said gesturing ahead of him. "So many plans were laid to waste because of their betrayal!" he said looking forlorn.

Up until just recently Bellatrix had found herself looking in on the War as an outsider, and now that she was thrust into like a child being born into the world, many things puzzled her. "Professors Rothschild? I had no idea." She spoke low and to herself, mostly from surprise. She crossed her ankles and straightened her back, looking at Him. "They ought to be taught a lesson then." The thought of the professors being the ones taught anything amused her, but the situation called for an air of formality at the moment and she restrained her innocent, child-like laughter.

"Yes, they should! So I happen to know that Isabella is expecting, and what I want you to do, it's very simple actually." he rose from his seat and walked toward the fireplace and placed a hand on the mantel. "I want you to steal that child from them. I believe they owe it to me, after all they laid to waste, I might as well take the child and mold it into a proper Wizard for my new society." he said turning back toward Bellatrix with a triumphant smile.

Any humor that Bellatrix had previously found in the situation drained from her as she watched him walk the room and listen to him speak. It was a very serious task he was proposing and it required her complete attention. His smile both comforted and frightened her. "That is quite an undertaking, my lord. Are you quite sure I would be the best for such a task?" She didn't mean to question him but she was, for once, unsure of herself. She didn't want to disappoint him. She had already heard tale from Lucius of the follower's recent failures.

"Bella my dear Bella, If not you? then whom am I to trust? Lucius perhaps?" he said shrugging his shoulder elegantly. "I trust you're ambition Bella." he said smiling again.

Her heart was racing but she certainly did not want to give up this opportunity he was offering her. She set the teacup and saucer down and folded her hands. "Thank you, my lord. I will not fail you." She attempted a confident smile, but somehow knew he could see through her. She would certainly try her hardest. She would rather die than fail him.

Voldemort smiled, Oh this girl was so new, she was refreshing. Pitty innocence never lasted so long. "I know you can accomplish this mission, and once you do, I'll give you that much more of my trust." he said spelling his tea cup toward a small side table.

His repeated flattery boosted her confidence and her smile became more and more sincere. She was so happy at this moment to be here. She knew her family would be proud of her if they knew she was in the presence of the greatest wizard that ever lived, and was being praised by him. She could think of nothing to say to his adoration.

Ah she was enthralled already, wonderful! He stepped toward her and said "Here, I have a gift for you Bella, and he snapped his fingers and produced a sliver necklace. "A portkey to return you to me, once you're out of the warded area and with the child." he said floating the simple chain toward her.

The dainty chain fell into her hands, it was incredibly light. The charm that hung on it was a gorgeous etching of a snake wrapping itself around a rose. She ran her fingers over it, taking in the feel if the cool metal with its thin carved lines. She closed her fingers around the necklace and looked up at him. "I've never held a baby before," her voice shook slightly but she shook her head and stood confidently, moving towards him. "I can only imagine the pain they will feel when they know their child is gone." She smiled viciously. "It would be my pleasure to create that pain." She was only inches from him and looked up into his eyes, they seemed almost red but that impossible.

Voldemort took the chain from her hands and clasped around her neck. "Yes, with that pain, You'll have the greatest amount power you can ever have over someone." he said curling a a long finger in her dark hair.

She could hear her pulse in her ears as his hands took the necklace from hers and fastened it around her neck. The metal was cool against her breast and she held a hand over it, looking down upon it to help her comprehend this soon to be power. Her chest rose with every excited breath she took and shivers rolled down her body as he gently touched her hair. She longed for that power, longed to hold it over those buffoons.

"Power...I"m so glad you understand what it means to have it. Now my dear, the hour grows late, and you have your mission, If you have the need, You can ask for Lucius's help." he said smirking knowing full well that she would do no such thing.

She beamed up at him and nodded. "If I need him, I will." She couldn't fathom needing Lucius' assistance in a little kidnapping. It was a matter of grave importance, but she was sure she could pull it off. If she told herself she could, then she could. Right? She headed for the door that she had entered through, running plans through her head as she went.
