Appearance:
- Brief Description:
Cassandra's most noticeable attribute is her huge smile. Behind fairly thin lips that match the rest of her petite features is a set of perfect pearly whites that she loves to flaunt. She has wide, high cheekbones that tend to obscure her eyes and make them appear particularly beady when she smiles. Irrevocably attracted to red lipstick since the first time she laid eyes on it, Cassie can almost always be seen sporting the bright color on her lips along with a thin layer of mascara to decorate her warm, brown eyes. Her face is finished off by a tiny nose and set of plain eyebrows.
Cassie's body is very similar to much of her facial features. Petite, petite, petite. She is a tiny girl, and has never been particularly proud of it. Always craving to be taller and more athletically toned, she took up yoga and calisthenics with misguided thoughts of stretching out her body to new heights. Although she didn't get the exact results she wanted, she was rewarded with some more finely toned muscles. - Eye Color: Chocolate brown
- Hair (color, length, style): Her hair reaches to be at about tow inches below her collarbone and is naturally curly with a deep brown color sprinkled by a few red and auburn strands.
- Skin Tone: Her skin has a natural glow that makes her appear to have a year-round tan.
- Height: She is short, measuring up to be about five feet and three inches.
- Body Type: She has a petite build with very small, lean muscle on her arms, legs, and abdomen from yoga and calisthenics.

- Confidence - she has enough pride to hold her head high in any situation
- Writing - she likes to write anything she possibly can; from research papers to poetry to newspaper articles - absolutely ANYTHING
- Independent - she has never once felt the need to rely on family members or get a boyfriend (she finds them both a little bit silly and unnecessary)
- Empathetic - she finds it easy to place herself in another person's shoes
- Observational - most of the time, she finds it difficult to leave her own head space and return to reality, so she lives vicariously by observing the lives of others - some find this indescribably creepy

- Bossy - she has been known to tell people what to do more often than she would like to admit
- Open-book - she has trouble lying due to her easily read tone and facial expressions

Personality (At least 4 sentences, but longer is preferred):
Cassandra can sometimes seem like a snob. She exudes confidence, she hardly speaks to anyone, and she seems to have no strong ties keeping her grounded to the real world. However, deep down she knows that she is far from the snooty person she may appear to be. Most of the time, she just considers herself to be someone who is too distracted thinking of other things to be bothered with mundane social activities. Of course, whether that type of attitude could be classified as snobbish or not is still debatable.
A lot of the time, Cassie prefers to observe life rather than participate in it. She relates to the world by seeing, and trying to feel what she sees. She puts herself into life through her poems, which she has written over 400 of and is still going strong. Cassie decided this to be a much more practical approach for going through life, rather than having to meet people and go through formalities firsthand. This partially contributes to how readable she is in nearly all situations. She's not sure how to do anything but be blatant after spending so long pouring all of her thoughts out onto paper.
Empathy is key for this girl. Without it, there would not be much to Cassandra Tennyson's life. She may actually have to live it for herself! However, there are a few things that all the empathy in the world cannot get her to tolerate. After horrible experiences with her stepfather's cigarette stench and drunken tirades, she has found it exceedingly difficult to accept anything remotely drug related in her life.

History (At least 4 sentences):
Once upon a time, a woman by the name of Annette Harris met a man who called himself Eugene Tennyson. Being only 19 years old and practically new to the world, Annette was in awe of the charming Mr. Tennyson and found herself under his spell. Little did she know, what she affectionately referred to as "charm" and "spells" could very well be magic since Eugene was indeed a wizard. Although he did not cast any sort of enchantment on her, Annette, so naïve and so blinded by love, was undeniably smitten with the twenty-six year old man. If she was not captivated by his success and knowledge of the world, than at the very least she must have fallen his experience and maturity. Either way, as all good fairy tale romances end, the two of them eventually decided to get married and start a family. Unfortunately for their first born daughter, this was before Eugene revealed his abilities to his wife.
Shortly after the birth of Cassandra Vivianne Tennyson, the couple divorced. Annette's mind was too narrowed by her religion, and she quickly became convinced that Eugene, the man whom she had once sworn love for, was an abomination. She wanted absolutely nothing to do with him, though she still loved her daughter very much. Papers were signed and custody of young Cassie was decided to be a 50/50 deal. Soon enough though, Annette remarried and produced yet another daughter two years later. With less room in her mother's house, Cassie was forced to live with her father full time.
Growing up, life wasn't particularly unbearable for Cassandra. She grew up comfortably, never hungry or cold or lonely. She never really felt like anything was missing. Her father continued his work in the Muggle World, as he had since he graduated from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The two of them led a normal life in a small, two-bedroom apartment in Liverpool. It wasn't until she received her very own letter to Hogwarts that she discovered the truth about both her father and herself. Eugene, so good at neglecting to tell everyone the full story, forgot to mention to Cassandra the true reason for her parent's divorce. So, naturally, the excited little girl told her mother all about her future at Hogwarts during one of her monthly visits to Annette's new home. She has regretted that decision since the day she last saw her mother.
Annette quickly came to the conclusion that her once precious daughter was now just as damned as Eugene. As if that wasn't bad enough, Annette's new husband, Greg, blamed curses cast by Cassie for all of his problems in life, such as his recently acquired status of unemployment and eviction notice. In a drunken frenzy, he beat the eleven year old. Annette did nothing to stop this, still so sure that all remnants of her daughter were dead or corrupted anyway. All Cassie truly remembers about that day was the horrible smell of cigarette smoke lingering in the air as her stepfather handed her semiconscious body back over to Eugene. She also knows that it was that very day that Greg went irrevocably blind, but she decided never to push her father on that topic.
Since then, Cassie has continued her magic training at Hogwarts. Every summer she returns home to vacation with her father. About a year ago she finally managed to forgive her mother enough to try getting in touch with her through letters; sent by an owl, of course. Annette has also slowly come to the realization that her daughter may not be a monster as she once believed, though she never responds to the letters she receives. Cassie has absolutely no idea what her mother's life is like as of now, or anything of her stepfather and half-sister. Her expectations of a change are very low, but she's still hopeful that one day she may see her mother and sister again. Needless to say, she has no problem with never seeing Greg again.
RP Sample:
Severus couldn't have cared less for being anywhere but in the relative safety of the Slytherin common room. He entered the common room in a flourish of his robes and a determined step to his gait. His normally acerbic nature was turned to a higher notch, his transfiguration homework scraped by with merely an "A". He hated his professor and hated the class.
He slowed his walk and gave a glare at the only other student in the common room, he narrowed his eyes and went to a chair near the fire, where he could picture his professor burning in agony.
Severus still didn't feel comfortable, as if he could feel a stare coming from another part of the room, he turned his head, with his baleful glare in place. "What do you want?" he asked his voice clearly saying 'whatever it is, shove it.' although he didn't say as much.

Homework became exceedingly difficult to concentrate on as students entered and exited the common room. Obviously, this was not the best place in the world to quietly attend to schoolwork. However, Cassandra couldn't help but want to sit somewhere with so much visible activity. She practically thrived on it! The margins of her homework quickly became littered with notes on the students that passed her. The girl with short brown hair walks with a limp - due to a childhood injury? The boy with over sized robes is very clumsy - because of his attire? She pondered each of the notes she took with great care, thinking of an explanation for each fact she wrote down. Whether they were plausible explanations or entirely fictional didn't really matter. Just as she finished with her last synopsis of a passerby, yet another student walked through the entrance way of the common room.
This boy, She decided, skulks as he walks. Maybe he just got rejected by a pretty girl? That did seem to be the most common cause of skulking at Hogwarts, at least as far as Cassie could tell. The lanky boy slowed his gait long enough to shoot a pair of daggers her way. "Whoa, pissy," she muttered under her breath as she began compiling a list of observations about the boy with the dark, greasy hair and hooked nose. She had only just looked up from her paper when he shot her yet another glare and spoke in a blatantly bitter voice.
"Hey, I'm just watching, buddy." She snapped back, surprised by how quickly she became defensive. She decided this boy was not one she should treat with a particularly friendly manner. "I know you can't possibly be used to anyone who is able to look a you for more than five seconds without wanting to gouge out their eyes, but I can manage. No need to cover your surprise with attitude." She replied harshly, especially proud of the sass she managed to coat her voice with.
Anything else? I've been watching Harry Potter all day....yeah.
