Dear Journal,

Here is where I am going to record all the magical beings and creatures that I discover! Also, I think I'll also write down all my classes so that I don't forget them again. Eariler today I walked all the way to Astrology before I realized I'm not enrolled for this term! My classes are going to be Transfiguration, Charms, Potions, and Herbology. And my elecitves are Care of Magical Creatures and Divination. I'm really excited for this term's potions, hopefully something more challenging and creative.

But first, I need to make a list of the ones that my mother and I already know exist.

• Tentaculous Finkfiner: the name for a large, slimy pink creature with tentacles. One is know to live in the Black Lake.
  
• Anphibious Finkfiner: the name for an oversized frog or salamader.
  
• Trifiling Winksi: a frog-like, agile creature with eight purple tounges.
  
• Trickkettes: invisible creatures that rest on one's knuckes and fingertips, causing them to drum or tap their fingers without realizing it.
  
• Terranic Finkiner: an omnivorous creature with the appearence of being made of clay.
  
• Confetti Sprites: brightly colored sprites, who communicate with bell sounds
  
• Orson Gulpers: a large orange creature the size of a small dog that eats Orsorms.
  
• Orsorms: small, grey, elongated maggot-like creatures with twelve eyes on each end.
  
• Fidgewidgets: the bugs that fly in and out of your shoes that make it so you can't concentrate or sit still.
  
• Moon Frogs: Frogs who's native land is the moon.
  
• Heliopaths: a spirit of fire that gallops and burns anything in it's path.
  
• Umgubular Slashkilters:

[/i] creatures resembling green or grey blobs with two large, talon like appendaged that are completely obedient to their master, and will slash open a face on command.
[/li][li]Nargles: tiny theiving, troublemaking creatures that infest mistletoe and are repelled by corks and radishes.
[/li][li]Aquavirius Maggots: a water dwelling creature resemlbing a brain.
[/li][li]Wrackspurts: an invisible creature that flys in and out of ones ears and brain, distracting that person till their brain goes fuzzy.
[/li][li]Gluping Plimpies:a water dwelling creature that you can fish and is repelled by Gurdyroot.
[/li][li]Dabberblimps: waterdwelling creatures that reside amoung merpeople.[/i]
[/li][li]Dapperplimpies: relatives of Dabberblimps, the only real difference is that dapperplimpies are red, yellow and orange whereas their cousins are blue, green, and purple.
[/li][li]Otts: furry, yellow and brown creatures native to Asian islands, that are about the size of an average man's foot. They have silver, almond eyes and travel on two feet, with three arms. They dine on small, land mammals and various fish. [/li][/ul]

Also, some notable plant and herbological mentions,

• Persnacious Pears: a tiny pink, pear-shaped fruit that serve as an excellent bait when fishing for Dabberblimps and various breeds of Plimpies.
  
• fellittss: a pale peach fungi that grows on the opposite side of a tree that normal moss does, and is invisible to Muggles. It's sprouts look something the top of asparagus.
  
• knavalchurnchks: living rocks. They come in a wide range of sizes from boulders to pebble, but cannot change size or be broken down in any way. They emit a glow unseen by muggles, but are entirely sentient beings. They communicate in low frequencies by thumping the earth at different speeds in a what could be likened to morse code, but it is unmeasureable to all but the most sensitive instruments. The muggle discovered Stonehenge and Easter Island Statues are, according to mother, knavalchurnchks. Mother also thinks that the Ressurection Stone is also a further-enchanted, or rare relative of the knavalchurnchk.
  
• willhlites:edible, mushroom-like plants that have the approximate stiffness and density of coal. Mother uses them in cooking, they taste terrible.

Dear Journal,

So, mother bought me some new dresses and clothes over the spring reccess, and I've brought them up with me. I can't imagine when I'll wear them, but they're nice to have.



And even some new night gowns! My sister got a matching one in silver, of course.


And since I'm already writing about it, I thought I might write about the rest of my clothes and outfits that I brought.

Dear Journal,

Hello again! I was wandering in the library this afternoon, and stumbled across an new book in the magical creatures section! It's from an author by the name of Newt Scamander, he's written several other books on creatures and even has a son now. Actually, I believe his son writes in Magizoology Monthly. In fact, I know this! I remember in Magizoolgy's author biographies it said that Newt's son's wife was pregnant with a boy who was to be named Rolf Scamader. How exciting!

Sadly, there's no mention of Crumple-Horned Snorknacks or my mother's creatures, but I'm certain they will come with time. After all, discovering is a difficult business. And rushing it? No, no. Far too complex. Anyways, as I was reading, I discovered one of the more terrifying creatures I've ever read about. A lethifold. Extraordinarily frightening, more so than any other creature... my, but I mustn't think about frightening things! There are far to many wonderful things to think about.

When I checked the book out from the librarian, she told me in a rather hushed tone that the Headmaster had been speaking to her about contacting the author! Professor Dumbledore actually was interested in have a formal textbook edition for our classes to be printed next year! It's a lovely idea, and the book is quite informative! I must tell Lisanne about it, since she'll be here next year. I must admit I'm envious of that. I will miss this place.

I'm thinking of doing the Care of Magical Creatures project on mooncalfs or plimpy breeds. Specifically, ones like this:

Of course, I'll need to gather some samples, I suppose. But I've been wanting to get some dapperplimpies anyways. It's getting late, though. I'm off to bed. Goodnight, dear Journal!
