Appearance:
- Brief Description: Ewan is a handsome young bloke; some might even call him "pretty." His curly dark hair and bright blue eyes make him very appealing to the ladies, and his quiet, easy-going nature only adds to his appeal.

Personality: On the surface, Ewan is an ordinary sort of guy, easy-going and likable. He may not be the guy you would go to for a good time, but if you needed advice or companionship, he makes a good friend. The trouble is, he never really talks about himself. As such, he tends to make friends with people who like to talk about themselves. He's happy to help when he can, but he recognizes them for what they are and makes sure they don't completely take advantage of his kindness. He can be hard to reach sometimes, and he'll retreat into himself, but most people won't even notice it. He smiles through the tears so well that sometimes even he believes it.

History: Ewan was born to a poor witch in Northern Ireland. The girl, barely 16, had lived on the streets and didn't know who her baby's father was. With no access to proper medical care or food, Mary O'Shea went into premature labor and died on the streets, unknown and forgotten. But the baby was originally rescued by a Good Samaritan and brought to a hospital to be nourished back to health. Unfortunately, the circumstances of his birth left Ewan with numerous health problems that have plagued him all his life.
Eventually, the sickly orphan, then called John, was sent to an orphanage, only to be "adopted" four years later by Walter Burkhardt. He was sent for training in the sleeper program, but after two years, it became apparent that he was not a good fit for the program, due to his frequent illnesses. So he became the first child to be kicked out without completing the training. He doesn't even have a trigger phrase.
He arrived back at the orphanage, where he was adopted for a second time, this time by a Scottish woman who had lost her own child in a car accident. She renamed him Ewan and raised him as her own. He received his Hogwarts letter at age 11, and attended school, where he was sorted into Ravenclaw.
But he always felt somewhat out of place. He couldn't figure out what he wanted to do after school, and ended up just bouncing from job to job. And eventually, the curiosity about his past got the better of him, and he went on a search to find out about his birth mother and about the man who adopted him the first time. But there was no information about his mother, and the man who adopted him had used a fake name. It might have been a dead end, until he ran into a girl with startling blue eyes and a shy smile and felt a strange sense of deja vu.
Ewan fell in love with Kylie from the start, but he also felt like there was something familiar about her. He tried to reach her, to support her and help her however she could, even as he tried to struggle with his own memories. The truth was, he remembered her from the training program, where she was the only one who tried to befriend him. When she was accidentally triggered in front of him, he tried to calm her down, but she ended up running away and disappearing completely.
After that, Ewan began to have flashbacks of his own, and spent a little time in an institution in Scotland, where a therapist helped him to unlock his memories. He realized now why he felt such a connection with Kylie, and when he was released, he began to search for her, hoping that he would be able to help her.
Anything else? Sorry it took me so long with this one. I got distracted. Oh, and I don't think he remembers or understands all of what happened to him.... he just understands enough to know that Kylie needs him.
