Personality:
At first glance, Ilsa is a wild child. She has no regard for the marks she gets in her classes, she stays up too late, she's even shown off the wizarding tattoo she got (that she still hasn't shown her parents. For the record, it's a ballerina doing a pirouette). She is the first person to go to when fun is to be had, and she's pretty correctly labeled as the class clown. She doesn't even know anymore how many times one of her parents was owled by her head of house because she was in trouble. "She just doesn't try," is what every professor told her parents throughout the years, as if they hadn't heard it a thousand times before.
But, as is always the case with a person, there's a lot going on in the head of hers, and her class clown act is certainly a cry for attention. She loves her family, and she gets along great with all of them. But Lorelei is gorgeous, and smart and hardworking. Her mother is a doctor, for Godric's sake, and given her father's background... Ilsa just never felt like she could top that. She gave up trying to be as smart or as pretty as her mother or sister, because she was always going to walk in those shadows. So she makes up for her grades with personality.... and heaps of it. She has no filter- if something comes to mind, she's going to say it. She's terribly honest- occasionally, brutally so. But she's loyal, too, and if you're friend, she'd take a curse for you. Oh, and good like trying to have a serious conversation with her.
Where she could stand out, but hasn't figured out how to yet, is her athletic ability. She plays on her house's Quidditch team as Beater (again, she finds the boldest and loudest place to be), and she dances. As a child, she was put in dance classes, and it just kind of... stuck. She doesn't do classes anymore, but she really should.
Family
- Mother: Dr. Nadine Richmond
- Father: Joseph Richmond
- Siblings (if any, list names and ages): Lorelei, sister
- Other family members (if significant): None that have had any presence in her life.
History:
Ilsa was a late bloomer. She was born on a cloudy, grey June day, and from the moment she came out of the womb, she was an attention grabber. She was two months early, and spent the first couple days of her life in intensive care at St. Mungo's with a 50/50 chance of surviving. But then, she's always been the kind to not let anyone tell her she can't do something, and a couple weeks later, she was going home.
Where she cried almost nonstop. She was definitely not an easy baby for the Richmond's second child. The challenge would prove never to really change, just the way in which she challanged them.
By 4, she had so much energy that her parents decided to find an outlet for it, and put her in ballet classes. She took to them like a fish to water, and they finally found something that she was willing to focus on. Focus she did. Focus and dedicate- every waking moment, she was in her point shoes, even coming down for breakfast. And when her sister started showing signs of magical ability, Ilsa danced harder, compensating for the fact that she hadn't. In fact, she did show her first signs of it until she was 10 years old.
She managed to keep with the ballet during school, at least until she was 13. When she collapsed in the hallway one day, the nurse informed her parents that she didn't think their daughter was eating- at all. When confronted, her honest answer of "Well, I need a ballerina's body" was enough for her concerned parents to pull her out of the classes. Not so coincidentally, that was about the time she became even more of a firecracker. She's healthy now, in her final year of Hogwarts before she is unleashed on an unsuspecting world. She remains close with her parents and her sister, though she's beginning to talk less and less to her mother about things.
