Rochelle leaned in slightly and took the bite of lasagna. After swallowing she said, "It tastes pretty good. It sort of tastes like this spaghetti, but a bit more of the sauce, than what this has."

"Yes, it's not all that different," agreed Sully. "But it has more cheese than the spaghetti." He smiled. "I should tell you, I really like a lot of cheese. Oh! Next time, we should order a pizza. Have you had pizza before?"

Rochelle laughed. "I like cheese too. That's one of the few things that I already knew what it was." She thought for a moment. She couldn't remember if she ever had it before. Rochelle shook her head no. "What is pizza? Is it that big round thing?"

Sully laughed and nodded. "Yes, pizza is a big round thing... it's made of flat bread and is covered in tomato sauce, cheese, and other things, like meat or vegetables. And the best thing about pizza is that you can stay home and have it brought to you... we could eat it and not have to go out..." He gave her a wink.

Rochelle laughed as he winked. "Hmm, we'll have to try that then sometime," said Rochelle with a wink of her own. "I remember being in France, and not really actually going in places like this. Gretchen would normally get something, and come back out with it. I never knew what it was called, she just handed me stuff and told me I needed to eat."

"She really kept you guys under her control, didn't she?" Sully said, frowning. "Is it always like that when you're in a... a pack? Or is that unusual? From what I've seen of Zander, he doesn't seem to be so strict with his people."

Rochelle shook her head. "It wasn't that bad," said Rochelle. "She just knew more than most of us did. She never had us do anything really crazy. You can do as you please in a pack, as long as you come back for the full moons and stuff. The people in Zander's pack know more than what some of the people in Gretchen's pack used to know. Of course, we learned, somethings. There's a lot of us that can't really read, so we have to trust people to just do certain things for us. It's not really that strict, but then it depends on how you look at it I guess."

"So, she really sort of... protected you? Like your mother?" Sully said. "I guess since Gretchen wants to kill me, I forgot that she could possibly be a caring person, looking out for the welfare of her pack members." He sighed. "I wish we coould work something out with her..."

"In a way, yes," said Rochelle. "Everyone can be caring, even the snake-man if he wanted to be.We can try, but I don't know how well she'll go through with it. When she's out for revenge, you wouldn't really think that she was able to be kind at times."

Sully frowned. He was getting worried again. "How good of a fighter is she when she's in her human form? Do I even stand a chance?"

Rochelle reached across the table and took his hand in hers. "Look, don't worry. She's a pretty good fighter, but you do stand a chance. Although, I've seen that when some humans worry, it makes them weaker, so don't worry about her, you'll be fine, I promise you.

"I'm sure," Sully said, brightening. "It'll all work out. It has to." He pushed the worry from his mind and tried to concentrate on the moment. He went back to eating his lasagna. "Maybe tomorrow we should do a little sight-seeing," he suggested. "I've never been to Italy."

"That would be a good idea. I haven't been here in so long," said Rochelle. "I know that Rome is not far from here. It's quite a nice place, from what I remember. The paintings, I think you call them, that they have here are beautiful."

Sully grinned at her. "That sounds great," he said. "Well, if Zander isn't able to get Ashura away from Gretchen, tomorrow might be our last day in Italy, so I definitely think we should make it count." He kept the smile on his face and his tone light.

Rochelle smiled and gave a nod in agreement. "We will make it count. There are many things to do here, so I think things will go alright. Maybe we should leave early in the morning, so that way, we'll have plenty of time to just take however long we want in places, and not worry about having to rush."

"That sounds great," Sully said. He pushed his plate aside. "But now, I really just want to be alone with you." He gave her a sly wink. "Are you finished eating?"

Rochelle barely had time to swallow her water before she started to giggle after his wink. She glanced down at her plate, there were just a few noodles left. "Yeah, I'm finished. I think if I eat anymore, I'll be huge!"

Sully laughed. "Well, we can't have that, now, can we? Although, I'd love you no matter what you looked like." He reached across the table and touched her cheek lightly, then waved for the waiter. "We'd like our check now," he said when the waiter arrived.

The waiter nodded and headed to the back to get their check. Rochelle smiled at Sully and the waiter returned. Rochelle took the check and saw a number amount of galleons. She stuck a hand in her pocket and pulled out a handful, then counted them out. She had enough, and handed it to the waiter with a smile. Rochelle carefully got up from her chair, making sure she didn't knock anything over, then pushed her chair under as she had seen others do. She stood beside Sully and extended her hand. "Shall we," she asked with a smile.

Sully was about to protest when she paid the bill, but he realized that it didn't matter. They were together, they were a couple. And suddenly, he realized something. He wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. It didn't matter whether the rest of his life meant only a week, or 40 years. He wanted to be with her for as long as he lived. Without even stopping to think, he abruptly got down on his knees in front of her. He didn't have a ring, but he didn't care. It didn't seem to matter anymore. None of it mattered except her. "Rochelle, will you marry me?" he asked, his voice shaking with emotion.
